  1. I don't follow the moose too closely so have to reply on others. But the illegal curve guys were saying they think Connor and Roslo need another year in the AHL to develop but that Lemieux is ready for the Jets next season.
  2. The time of year when guys with potentially playable injuries get shut down for surgery and rehab so they can be ready for next season.
  3. There's a difference between personal photos being stolen and those photos including ejaculating on the wwe belt. They won't like that one. And the fact it could be the same belt other girls use, kiss, pose with children is going to cause a ton of heat for Paige. Having sex shouldn't get you fired. Blowing your load on your companies corporate logo and property probably will.
  4. I didn't say he had a mental health issue just that he could and the police don't always know that at the time. If the argument is he should have been shot I disagree. He was caught. But only one officer seemed in on the plan to apprehend him when he left he vehicle (which was the cops' intended outcome). Whomever was in charge at the scene clearly failed to have a plan or to convey that plan clearly. I watched police in Winnipeg apprehend a guy with a knife. No one was shot or killed. I know police have a tough job and hindsight always feels like chicken **** but it's necessary to learn from it. Not the desired outcome here.
  5. Taxi companies are going to feel this big time.
  6. It will be interesting to see how WWE handles the Paige leaked sex tape and nude photos. She's suspended and there is obviously heat between her and WWE. And now this. But, WWE did nothing when Seth Rollins had nude photos leaked while he was cheating on his girlfriend (with a girl that allegedly was a Nazi-sympathizer). Plus one of their announcers just had texts leaked of him trying to hook up while he had a girlfriend, generating some bad social media press. Plus, Rock is actively filming a movie about Paige's family right now. Might look bad to fire her over this.
  7. I see his hand. And he looks to be in a compliant gesture. From that photo. From the video, he looks to be someone who doesnt want to comply and doesnt understand what all the craziness is about. Like many people with mental health issues. But we should shoot those people. Is that a knife in the pic? Honestly, I see his flat hand. In the video I see what looks like perhaps a jack knife in his hand that is folded. he's certainly not making any stabbing or slashing gestures or standing in a challenging stance. But the point is that there was an opportunity to apprehend without killing him. That should always be the objective. I think police can succumb to mob mentality too. I mean really, ONE cop out of ALL those cops intercepted the guy as he got out and tried to physically apprehend him. Not ONE other cop helped. They had NO plan for removing this guy from the van. it was just fire a hose at him and see what happens.
  8. In totally different news, Emma Watson, Amanda Seyfried and WWE's Paige have been hacked with pics, including "intimate" ones leaking. In Paige's case a video as well. Pretty awful stuff for them.
  9. Did they say he was trying to stab the police? Because it didnt look like it in the video
  10. My reply got deleted before I could submit. But I didnt leave out anything. I posted the entire tweet with the link and invited you to watch. Rather then re-type everything else I wrote, Ill say this - the cops used a fire hose to get the suspect to vacate the van. Which he did. Then they did very little to apprehend him. ONE cop tried. 20 cops stood around with guns, knight sticks and a fire hose. If anyone else had attempted to apprehend him, he'd be apprehended. Knife? Well, he appears to have something in his hand that doesnt appear to have a blade extending from it. He also makes no attempt to stab the one cop trying to restrain him. The suspect responds to the rubber bullets by exclaiming about being shot at. He was ripe for an easy take down. But its easier to shoot.
  11. There is a big difference between limiting their interference with aircraft and making them almost worthless. If I drive down your street, is that spying? If I stand on my front lawn and film everything around me, is that spying? This is one of these "laws" that simply overkills the subject. Even if the article it refers to close calls with aircraft and things like interfering with water bombing of forest fires...well, ok, disallowing those things is a rather common sense approach. Blanket restricting them isnt. Seems more like something aimed at creating a market for licensed drones. And Im sure the feds will be happy to sell the lincesnes. They acknowledge the over-reach by suggesting police should use discretion at enforcement. If thats the case, create better laws. Effectively, Im subject to a $3000 fine if I use my drone in my backyard. If I take it to a large open field and someone should drive by, Im subject to a fine. That's silly. And there goes my plans to fly over a Bombers game ;-)
  12. Lemieux injured. Could be done for season
  13. I dislike this argument. i've seen it before. Usually it comes hand in hand with "oh there were some empty seats" or "the market is softening" and my favorite "this team will be gone in 5 years". There might be something to the idea that the market is more forgiving in the afterglow of regaining the Jets. But I dont think for one second anyone in Jets management or ownership is content to lose. And I dont even think they'd change their plans even if there was a sudden drop in season ticket renewals. There might be something to be said for Chevy not being "bold" and the Jets taking a slower, steadier pace. It frustrates me when I see a GM like Rutherford make changes constantly to win. Then again, they have Crosby, Malkin and Letang.
  14. I only watched the game in the background but it sounded like Petan showed what he can do, especially with other skilled players...
  15. I watched Night Court too, right after Cheers. It was sort of the goofier, weaker little sister of Cheers but it was funny.
  16. I kind of felt bad for Spicer before. I figured he was offered a dream job and trying to make the best of it but you get the sense he's all in and believes this nonsense. Its somewhat surprising how little respect and regard the administration has for the American people to stand there and lie. So Trump lies about Obama tapping his phones - thats lie #1 on this train - said in the heat of the moment, let's say. But he keeps saying it. Then when caught, they lie again and said he only said it in quotes. And they keep saying that. Its a complete lie and anyone who follows this at all knows its a lie. Trump was right about one thing - this is Nixon-level ****. Actually its probably a lot worse. Watching Ryan on CNN, he was at least a trooper in sitting there and trying to smile through the **** storm that he had no defense for. But he sure walked a thin line between supporting Trump and not supporting Trump. If any of these scandals can get traction, the Republican leadership will throw Trump under the bus as fast as they can. One wonders, if it looks like the Dems might win in two years, will the Republicans try to jettison Trump first...?
  17. Riders didn't know. Found out when reporters called. Reaves played last season out on bail and his trial is nov 20th.
  18. It's not a homer opinion. It's stupid. The league wants more scoring and they implement a forensic examination of plays that have zero impact on the game either way with the intention of removing goals. Insane. All because of one bad offside in 100 years. Stupid.
  19. This offside bullshit is out of control. Absolutely idiotic.
