They really downplayed the sexual stuff with Steph. They used to push it like crazy, even having zoom ins on her ass and Vince staring at her breasts. Vince pitched an angle where Steph would be pregnant and he (Vince!) would be the father. SD has good writers. Michael Hayes (I think he over-sees both shows), Road Dogg and Ryan Ward (booked NXT when it was really good). Vince is more hands on with RAW.

Interesting thought here. McPhee has basically said once he has the protected list in his hands (and thus knows who is unprotected), he's holding an auction among all other teams for players they might want. That could get really interesting.

Hunter seems good at booking other people but he has zero ability to be objective about himself. My favourite Hunter story is back when Steph and Angle were doing the "crush" storyline and the writers wanted Steph to be with Angle and Hunter went to them and said "My character isnt the type of guy who's wife would leave him for another man". So they got the Steph choosing Hunter deal instead of Angle which was the better story. Vince always showed ass for his babyfaces. He always humiliated himself. And Steph used to as well. But ever since Hunter gained power its like the two of them see themselves as Paul and Steph 24/7 and not playing characters, except Steph goes out of her way to remind everyone she's "playing a bad guy" on TV. Its weird, really.

I agree. She's one of the worst things. In many ways. The whole WWE plan is to create an image for Stephanie. I imagine its for a future political run. But she has very little to do with day to day WWE, including creative. The "Chief Brand Officer" role was created for her to be the corporate face of the company, which she is good at. When Vince is gone, there will be issues over Hunter running things so Steph being in a "face" role is in important. But she is a terrible on-screen character who cuts balls off of everyone and never gets hers in the end.

I thought something similar. Had he scored on that play, they would have etched his name on the trophy that night.

I'd buy into Injuries, poor goaltending and youth. But none of that explains the WAY too many games they looked unprepared, undisciplined and uninterested. Far too many games where the effort was lacking. Lawless is all over the idea they have a "leadership" issue. I remember hearing the same under Captain Ladd. So whats the deal?

I watch on FF too. Its too long. SD is generally considered the better show but RAW still has more viewers. By the way, looks like media jumped the gun on the Regal HOF announcement. Doesnt sound like it's happening this year. Warrior Award and Legacy Award are all thats left to announce. Rumour has it they are designing new IC and US belts.

They're finally making an American sequel to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. But recasting, which is a shame. Rooney Mara was tremendous. Its a bit weird as they're skipping the two sequel novels and going with the 4th novel which wasn't written by the original author, The Girl In The Spider's Web. From what I understand, the other two books explained the relationship between the two leads. I guess they want to skip it. Word is the leading choices to take over the role of Lisbeth are Natalie Portman and Scarlet Johannsson. Which is odd. Portman physically resembles the character a lot more than Scarlet. But given the age of the two I dont see why they dont just keep Rooney Mara.

If it ended today Im voting Laine. More goals, more points, less games, better plus/minus. The less games really makes a difference. Even if they were tied, Laine gets the edge. Better season = Laine. Both pretty cold right now and Matthews can easily go on a tear, so could Laine. If Laine can score 40 (seems tough now) he'd be only the second 18 year old to ever do it. The first? Dale Hawerchuk. Would be fitting for him to be #2.

Looking up some fun facts, that was the Saturday of the blizzard (which began Friday night). So Im shocked they didnt cancel that game. How did they even fly out to face the Kings on the Monday in LA? If that was a home game it would possibly have been cancelled because everything was closed on the Monday. Unlike today, when snow can be cleared fast, it say for awhile. During that stretch Jets only lost 5 of 18 games. The Devils game was 4th win in a row, lost in LA and then rattled off 4 more wins in a row. It was tbe first time for awhile that I was really interested in the finish though. Seth is a beast for being in that shape with his injury. But of course it ends with Hunter up. Should have ended with Seth up. They better have something good planned next week cause the face getting legit beat by the heel isn't a great story. Finally got Seth over though.

Conway is really good at her job. Spicer not so much. I like Conway in many ways but sure its the same thing. She's a hired mercenary which many in politics are but at some point you have to question someones sense of decency. I saw some whining on social media because Conway is being criticized. The backlash is how dare the left attack a successful, beautiful mother. I didn't realize being a woman, being successful, being beautiful and being a mother meant you were allowed to spew all sorts of crazy without being criticized. Thats sort of antifeminism really. Like she's an example to little girls for being a strong successful career woman and mother but be gentle on her cause she's just a girl.
