If Chevy doesnt move Stafford, Im turning the corner on him and demanding he be fired. Like literally, its the easiest trade to make. If ONE person wants him and they offer NOTHING, you still make that deal.

Its addition by subtraction for the Jets. Retain salary, get a 4th round conditional pick. Create opening for someone younger to play regular shift.

That probably takes Neuvirth out of the running for Jets goalie.

Only the premiere aired on CBS (and Global in Canada). Subsequent episodes are exclusive to CBSAA in the US and W in Canada. And the content could not air on CBS Network without heavy editing. Star Trek Discovery will get the same treatment, a premiere on CBS Network followed by the rest of the season on CBSAA. Its to air on Space in Canada and I believe CTV is airing the premiere on the main network too.

I think this is what they call libel chill when you vaguely threaten to sue someone who's looking into you to "chill" then into backing off. Sammy on the offensive. And desperate they could sell tickets to a Sammy perp walk...

Speaking of TV, started a few more shows recently. The Good Fight - a spin off of The Good Wife which was a really well written/acted show. The Good Fight is really more of the same and pretty good so far. Its part of CBS's All Access streaming service and airs on W in Canada so its not restricted by Network rules. ie. the run time is not constrained to one hour (with commercials) which I found out the hard way when my PVR stopped at the top of the hour and I missed the end AND, the characters swear repeatedly including several F Bombs. Big Little Lies - tremendous cast but the premiere on HBO was really boring. I havent watched Episode 2 yet but Im hoping it gets better. Slickly made and well acted but I need to care about the characters. Also they are using a framing narrative technique that is a bit annoying, similar to season one of True Detective and The Affair but not nearly as interesting as either of those. Crashing - new 30 minute comedy on HBO and its hilarious. Produced by Judd Apatow and developed by (and starring) Pete Holmes, its really funny. Holmes plays a version of himself as does Arty Lange and others. Lauren Lapkus is recurring and she'd pretty cool too. Sarah Silverman is going to be on it also. Arty Lange in particular is tremendous.

Anything the Jets might want to do is better left til after expansion draft. They need to make some moves. Today should be about cutting the dead weight for anything offered. Only other deals should involve things that help them with expansion, such as moving Toby or trading someone they think they'd lose (like Lowry, I guess).

He also only has one year left on his deal and is 30 years old this summer. Not the Jets' usual target.

Id be very surprised if Jets traded Lowry but if they feel they cant protect him from Vegas and will lose him for nothing, then its something they'd have to consider.

Now that Trouba/Morrissey is the defacto top pairing, there is no excuse for it. Sure, Myers is out. But Jets are done. So Buff should be cut right back to 20 minutes MAX per game. See what happens. If 5/6 are so bad, they cant play normal minutes for that position, then Chevy should be fired for utter failure. Could have Stone for nothing.

If they dont trade him for anything they are stupid. Even if the offer is a $50 Montana's gift card and a hearty pat on the back. ANYTHING is better than keeping him.

Its already been documented how many goalie coaches Montreal went through when Price was developing. They made changes looking for the best coach for Price. The team D has sucked since Day One so either Maurice is as bad as Noel was or the one constant, Huddy, maintains a lot of control over the D. Time for him to go.

On paper, yes. But again, the team is too often unprepared, lacks effort and cant handle adversity during a game. That's on coaching. So all the talent in the world wont be enough if the coaching sucks. Pens were flat awful most of last season until the fired their coach and then won the cup. Coaching should enhance the talent that is here, not try to force talent to enhance the coaching.

This is exactly my thought. Make a deal with Pens today.
