I'd assume Pens hope someone takes Fehr, giving them a little bit of space this year and $2m next year. If no one does, they can ship him to the AHL and save a few bucks on the cap.

That would be a surprise. And pretty early. When Ladd was traded, if I recall there was no announcement about him missing the game until very very close to the time they had to declare a roster.

I dont know but he'd look like a liar if he suddenly says nope we still want a trade. There was always speculation that "other" people cared more about leaving than Trouba and Trouba just wanted to play. So now that he's clearly the #1 D-man and seemingly pretty tight with a few guys, will be interesting to see if he signs long-term.

Would love to see Trouba locked up for 8 years.

Anyone catch H&L yesterday? They teased Lawless was going to talk about Trouba based on a conversation with his agent last week. But I wasnt able to keep listening. What did he say? Also, the new Lawless Narrative (which is, in my opinion, always something to pay attention to) is that Buff is struggling because he's missing his BFF Andrew Ladd and is not as close to Wheeler. Okay, so if true and knowing Garth Snow has made some odd choices, what does it take to get Buff in New York? Bonus points if Hamonic comes back this way...

Well they're pretty close statistically since they are tied for goals and points. However Laine has played fewer games, has a higher GPG and PPG, a better plus-minus and is younger. So all things being equal, not all things are equal. The screwing aspect is when media does the rounds suggesting Laine might need to score ten more goals (keeping in mind he also will have played 8 less games barring a Matthews injury) to beat Matthews for the award. That is absurd.

Matt Hardy's wife: Some sheets are reporting that the Hardy's are gone from TNA. Drew Galloway announced he was leaving TNA. Apparently he was leaning that way already but was turned off by TNA not bothering to commence contract renewal talks until last week. So one can assume the Hardy's havent had much contract talk either. TNA waiting til the last minute. In their defence, they are under new management and Jeff Jarrett just officially took over. But still, three of your four biggest talents (along with Bobby Lashley) and you wait til the last second? EDIT: so the story going around is the Hardy's agreed to terms for a one year contract in December and TNA was supposed to write up the contract and send it to them. Matt kept checking in but nothing was ever done. So Matt then asked for Creative Control clause to be added which TNA immediately shot down. Hardy's lawyer informed TNA that other companies were interested and TNA replied "tell them to go to WWE then". That apparently pissed off Jeff who said he wasnt going to go back. Matt kept trying to smooth it over and finally received the contract but it was for two years and contained other items they had not agreed on, such as TNA getting 10% of their outside earnings. Matt offered to be there for the tapings this week to be written out and TNA told him they would not put him on TV without a contract. TNA is now trying to get their tag team belts back.
