  1. You have no clue about hockey. What's your second favourite sport? We should stick to talking about that.
  2. Yes you do. If Helle doesn't start you wont have anything to complain about. Breaking news. 18 year old Nhl player struggles with defensive aspects of the game in latter stages of the season. He was okay last night. Didn't clear the zone on the game winner. Then again there were veterans making he same mistake.
  3. Are you 12 years old? You go on and on defending Pavs. But criticize Helle for having a better save percentage. Higher save percentage and lower GAA will result in more wins over time. You take a very small sample size to argue because you can't admit you're wrong. Like Rich said it's tiring seeing your nonsense all the time. You're wrong. Just accept it.
  4. Actually no. But you can keep waving your Pavs flag until the entirety of your self respect has evaporated. Pavs stats over more than a small sample size would result in far less wins than Helles. The only stats that mattered when Pavs played was goals scored for the jets. But please, go on.
  5. Then Helle was outstanding judging by your Pavs standard of GAA.
  6. Speaking of goalies, lawless had a list of UFAs the jets mihjt be interested in. He liked Neuvirth. I like Darling.
  7. TSN had an interesting stat. If you don't count games Helle was pulled, he has a .926. Of course it's taking away his worst games and if you did that with every goalie their stats would improve. But you don't get pulled every game. Only really bad games. If he can cut down on the really bad games, he's a solid goalie.
  8. They're almost identical to when Noel was fired. No forward progress even as the talent increases saying that however, the issue tonight was Crawford was very good, Hawks better team D and turn overs/bad decisions. But okay that way most nights and they win. Perreault looked determined tonight. Thought postma and chiarot were decent. Morrossey is going to be really good Helle was good. As good as he needs to be really.
  9. Definitely Voy is an easier watch and an easier on ramp. That was Berman's theory and probably accurate at the time that since Trek was heavily syndicated you needed a series where anyone could watch any episode and not need to know anything. I remember waiting on the edge of my seat for the next DS9 episode. It was really good storytelling. They had a few issues in the final season with Dax leaving the show and the decision to turn Dukat heel. But DS9 also had the best supporting cast. As for Westworld, it was awesome. And kudos to them for staying true to their story even though the twists and turns weee widely predicted. Sometimes that means you're telling a great story and the payoff feels great. That was true in this case. A great series.
  10. I love Spicers response to that CNN story. What's that expression about protesting too much? Every day this admin becomes more of a joke.
  11. Matt Reeves is front runner to direct The Batman. According to Variety. He rekindled Planet of the Apes so could be a good choice. Variety also reports a complete script re-write.
  12. this should make trump lose his mind
  13. Funny about DS9 is I also remember it as hitting the war arch half way through but it actually began in the second season. From that point the series is tremendous. The fact Rick Berman said Enterprise would be the first series to have story archs, seemingly forgetting all about DS9 shows how out of touch he was by that time. Voy and Ent were Bermans attempt to re-do TNG. one trick pony.
  14. Good lord. Voy was a waste. But I respect your opinion. DS9 was on a different level of writing and acting from every other series. TNG and TOS would be second for me. They are so different and like them equally in different ways. Enterprise was better than voyager.
  15. If you can choose from 31 cities then it's a no brainer that the small, cold, high tax, low success teams will be on the no go list. But if the Jets were a cup contender things would be different for many players
  16. When you find out a white guy who comitted a crime was actually from France, do you feel a sense of backlash to the media for not reporting that? Its relevant when he's found guilty as far as being deported. I could even accept the relevancy of there are widespread issues that would indicate an issue with the cultural emmersion into Canadian standards. That to me would be an issue for immigration and indicate they aren't properly preparing new arrivals for life in this country.
  17. Nothing wrong with collecting draft picks. Should trade everyone they can that aren't in future plans and have expiring contracts.
  18. the entire point of the article was that they had spoken yesterday. It was in the article. Trump is nuts.
  19. Lawlesss said that?? It makes no sense. Fleury has, what 2-3 years left?? Not a chance The no trade thing isn't insurmountable in that it doesn't mean the jets wouldn't want him. They could always reach out to the agent and try and change minds. But really I don't see Jets being interested. And I'm a fleury fan. Lawless is pushing the idea the jets will get a new #1. Time will tell
  20. People wanting more coverage is not because of the sex assault but because of the salaciousness of it being a minority accused. Again, Im not sure I see the relevance. There is evidence that shows when a high profile crime is committed by a Muslim that there is racist backlash to other people who simply appear Middle Eastern. So the head of an Islam organization concerned because the headline is about a perps ethnicity is not unreasonable in my mind. Honour killings? Genital mutilations? Sure, the ethnicity and cultural practices are fair game because they are the motive. Some creeper touching little girls? Im not sure being Syrian is his motive. And I dont think it needs to be swept under the rug but the relevancy comes into the consequences as far as deportation etc.
  21. Anyone watch ESPN's 30 for 30: This Was The XFL? It was on TSN this week. Really good, if too short to tell the whole story (and it was 90 minutes). One really interesting thing they skipped over was how the XFL came to be in the first place. When the CFL was suffering, they approached Vince McMahon about buying the Argos. Vince countered with an offer to buy the entire league and all the teams with the intention of moving "some" of them to the US. The CFL BOG voted it against it promoting an angry tirade from then WWF Canada President Carl Demarco who basically said the CFL just sealed their fates and that Vince would create a league that would steal their players and put them out of business.
