I dont know. Some people would say they are hiding that it was a refugee or a Muslim or whatever. But from their perspective, they are going to be sensitive to the exact reaction evident in this thread - that one criminal among the refugees paints them all with the same brush. Had he been Irish, would the media have reported that? English? Jewish? Christian?

So you judge Helle's entire value because of two games? And if Helle was so bad, why is he still statistically better than Pavs? I understand why Maurice wanted Pavs brought up but I didnt agree with handing him the keys. This is Helle's team. Pavs is a ghost. How he plays matters not because he isnt in the Jets' plans. Hutch was struggling at the same time Helle was. That was the issue. Pavs came up and didnt play any better. The reason the team played better? Who knows. But the team as a whole hit rock bottom at the same time Helle had two bad games. They had a players' only meeting and the energy surrounding the team was "we have to be better". Pavs benefited from that better play and still was worse then the other two goalies. If the Jets had played for Helle like they played for Pavs then Helle would still be the starter and working through his struggles. Let's remember, Helle looked tremendous up to the point Maurice decided to bench him against the best team in the league. Maurice messed with Helle. Maybe it means nothing but it might have had an impact. Regardless, unless Chevy is trading for another goalie, Helle is our guy. And fortunately, he's also statistically the best goalie we have. Pavs was third best.

Well ive argued the point about Sharia law and the practice of Islam but others here like to shout it down. Cultural diversity is wonderful up to a point where it crosses beyond Canadian standards.

How many of the 4 games Pavs won do the Jets win with Helle in net and the Jets scoring exactly the same? because they scored more with Pavs in net than Helle or Hutch. So Pavs has the worst stats at a time when the team was playing better. We had three goalies this year. Pavs was the worst. With what he brings, we might as well send him back to the Moose and go with Helle & Hutch.

So why have you argued so vehemently in support of the goalie with the worst stats of the three? And one could make the argument that Pavs struggled more than Hutch based on his WORSE stats, especially during a period the Jets plays better. Dont say "wins" because as Goalie pointed out, the Jets scored WAY more goals with Pavs in net than either Helle or Hutch. Had the Jets scored only 2 goals in each of Pavs games, you'd then say Pavs is a terrible goalie who is worse than Hutch? Goals for has nothing to do with the goalie.

Sure, I'd be very aware of the surroundings if I took my kids to any waterpark. But the topic title you chose wasnt about being careful at waterparks. I agree though, we need better vetting of refugees. They should be interviewed by psychics to weed out those that might commit a crime in the future. Wasnt that a Tom Cruise film?

My only issue is not seeing whats right before him. Pavs stats are terrible so stats dont matter, only wins. Hutch has the same number of wins. Now wins dont matter, only winning percentage. What's next, height? Eye colour? Pavs has dreamy eyes so he's the better goalie. Oh and lets get rid of Hutch and lose Helle in the expansion draft.

Yeah I also dont hang this all on Chevy trying to cheap out with goaltending. They took their chances a bit with Helle because of the small sample size but how long would they need to know Hutch was a capable back up? He showed he was. And you cant hang it all on the goaltending when the team D has been so bad for so long and far too many games the team showed little fight or fire. We would have needed a spectacular goalie stealing games this year. And you cant really plan for that.

I know there were some small whispers about her as Hilary's running mate but probably felt two women wasnt a good idea. I would have done it though. Or Sanders as VP. Kane was not very inspiring.
