  1. I also expect Pavs to be on top of his game. So what? This city is so backwards that Pavs will go on a run and everyone will want to re-sign Pavs to a five year deal. His career numbers don't lie. I've already traded him in Nhl 17.
  2. probably because they plan to fire them and then they go and win a game so they figure they better do it now lest the guy goes on a hot streak and ruins his plans.
  3. http://lawnewz.com/high-profile/breaking-apprentice-contestant-summer-zervos-files-defamation-lawsuit-against-trump/ They're going after the Apprentice tapes too. Have a great Inauguration Don!
  4. I'm not sure what this poorly worded tweet is supposed to mean. Maybe he's back at practice?
  5. Getting him down to 20 minutes a game would help a lot too. Let Trouba play 27 minutes. I guess Trouba played 31 last game. Let him and Morrissey eat the minutes. If you want to sign Trouba long term that's his role, so give it to him. And try to get him to sign a deal this summer. In the meantime, try to trade Toby so you dont have to protect 4 D in the expansion draft. Pens could use him...see what it would take.
  6. Thats what I mean (actually he often has the same "insight" on the Bombers ie. sources). He ignored the "fire the coach" stuff and focused on "Pavs could be recalled" and he was correct. If he posts about Maurice being on shaky ground, it means something.
  7. This is just how I read it on twitter. Not sure why Pavs gets a grace period but I guess its meant to allow a team to recall someone temporarily. If they had to waive him again, they might be less likely to recall and players want to be recalled.
  8. I guess the Liberals plan is to get all their idiotic, unpopular ideas and behavior out of the way asap and then by the next election voters will have forgotten (but they will vote for Bernier anyway). Reading the article Im actually not 100% opposed. Its just adding sales tax to the service much like we pay on our cable bill already. The original idea to levy Netflix was discarded. Either way, its still tax. But Netflix does provide a service so logically, we should pay GST on it.
  9. He has been there 7 years so...I still dont see them firing Maurice. But they will have to do something.
  10. I dont see Pavs signing a one year deal. He'd definitely go to free agency first and see if he can do better. Helle and Hutch require waivers. Pavs can be sent back without waivers within 10 games or 30 days. So if Pavs DID get on a hot streak, they are really in tough having to carry all three. This was a mess from the beginning. The goalie they didnt want, who they are paying $4million + to be average in the AHL is now being relied on to save the day. Just a mess. This is Maurice telling Chevy you cant fire me unless you give me a goalie I can win with first. They keep shitting the bed, Maurice has to go and if he does, all of his assistants better go too.
  11. Yes and again, read Lawless because he often speculated about things that will happen. He says put Trouba and Morrissey together as top pairing. Buff is unique and a great asset when everything else is working. he's not a D man. He's a rover. We're lucky to have him but everything else has to be working for him to be the best at what he does.
  12. Liberals best back away from this idea
  13. Never going to happen. They are sort of screwed in that either Pavs sucks and gets sent back down and they are back to square one or Pavs is solid and they carry three goalies all season. Id assume Hutch isnt much of a plan now and either way, they'd look to unload him in the off season and upgrade the back up spot. Pavs will get a couple of games and then Helle goes back in. They want to create competition and Hutch wasnt good enough to make Helle desperate
  14. Knowing Chevy, Pavs will go on a slightly above average run and he will get trade offers but will keep Pavs for the Jets own "run", miss the playoffs and lose Pavs for nothing. Jets will win the lottery and Chevy, with a silly grin, will say it was the plan all along and be hailed as a hero for his ability to mind control the lottery balls.
  15. I watched part of one of the Resident Evil films and was intrigued by the destruction of Las Vegas. So I bought the series but havent watched it yet. But Milla is an old favourite dating back to the Blue Lagoon days (and probably her first nudity). So yes, I agree. Bet on skin.
  16. Helle posted a shut out during that stretch didnt he? What if Pavs had been claimed on waivers when he was sent down. This is not the Jets plan. This is desperation. They no longer KNOW, they only HOPE.
  17. Also, follow Lawless. Because he is either very insightful or he has someone high up whispering in his ear. I havent heard him on H&L so I cant say for sure but on twitter he seems to ignore the calls for coaching changes in favour of Pavs coming. That might tell us how management feels about the situation - blame the goalie, not the coaches. The second Lawless questions Maurice's future, Maurice should start calling realtors.
  18. Sure. And so they should have sent Hutch to the Moose to start the season. Thats what I said then. I like Hutch. But they gambled on Hutch being a quality back up. Most teams, when handing the reigns to a rookie have more than Hutch in their back pocket. They gambled and are losing. But again, Helle & Hutch dont play D or O or Special Teams or prepare the team for the games or make in-game adjustments or make trades.
  19. There was a stat last week, I think it was where if Helle had won the game his Save% would have jumped to .914 or something. I dont remember the exact numbers. Helle hasnt been good enough but he mostly flirted with league average or close to it. Some early pulls have sunk his numbers. Chipman wont fire Chevy. But Im saying i wouldnt be mad. Accountability has to start at the top. Chevy is in charge of drafting and developing, yes. So maybe a better job for him is head scout. because he's also in charge of making sure the rest of the team is talented enough, the coaching is good enough, the right mix of players are here. And he's failing at that. His plan of burying Pavs and handing the reigns to a rookie, backed up by another almost-rookie has failed. Now they pin their hopes on a career-below average goalie who was barely adequate in the AHL and who has an expiring contract. This is poor management. I can imagine Maurice angrily demanding Chevy get him a goalie. He sees the pitch forks coming and demands for his job...but he's not getting the talent to back him up either. He and Chevy are similar actually. Maurice not showing enough accountability for some players. Chevy not shipping guys out or bringing guys in. If they really truly believe they have the winning formula and all it takes is them to grow together and the switch will flip and they will compete...well, okay, thats a plan. But they better be right.
  20. Remember when the fans decided to have some fun with Pardy when he had his helmet ripped off by a drunk in Chicago? And a furious Chipman called an impromptu presser to chastize the fans? And he could barely spit the words out he was so angry? Where is that guy when his ******* team is dropping like flies. Oh yeah, banning print reporters from being too close to him in the press box. Im frustrated. But if Chipman announced every one was fired tomorrow, I wouldnt be mad.
