Stafford served us well. But as we see with players his age the game has changed awfully fast. Young and fast.

Again, we are a young team and that's fine. But the issues here aren't just youth. We've seen Toby, buff, stu, Stafford make bone head plays or seemingly give up on plays I'd trade Stafford as soon as possible. If we're going to suck let petan or Connor play that spot. I wrote here way back that my one fear was the jets lost grit. They played better with way less talent than they have now. Matthias is out there busting his ass. He's working hard to play above his talent. Even Thorbs. Say what you will, he's giving his all every shift. I think Wheeler does too. Ehlers is probably our best player. If we could remake the D in the image of trouba we'd be somewhere. I like buff. He's not a D man. He's a rover. Trouba should be getting his minutes with Morrossey (another bright spot). Buff moves down with Toby and plays less minutes. Then we need another trouba style player Id still try to pry Hamonic out of Long Island. Morrissey-Trouba Ham-Myers toby-Buff that makes us better. Acquire a frolik-ish player and someone who intimidates the opposition. I don't much care about goaltending at this point but we need a better back up next year. If someone will trade us a better back up with a year left for expansion purposes and take Hutch then it can't hurt. But Helle should still get most starts. He can still be that goalie we need. But id absolutely look at a new goalie coach.

I wthink upset read much into that. he just came from what was likely an angry and emotional meeting where he, as captain, had a lot to say and he was expecting the media to ask him and he just wasn't in the mood. Good captain wouldn't throw his team mates under the bus publicly. I do expect him as Captain to call out guys that need it

First and third were tough. Right on the doorstep. I suppose Helle could have had them but then he's making spectacular saves after mistakes by his d. This loss isn't on goaltending. It's on lousy lousy team play. Helle was pulled to save him from further embarrassment.

I was going to day players only meeting. Game was not lost on goaltending. Helle could have had the second goal. But other two were no D. Goal on Hutch, if stu makes a play instead of hacking the player maybe it's not scored

Now the team can talk about how well they played at he end and we can pretend there aren't serious issues.

Did that graphic just say Hutch stopped 159 shots tonight? It only feels that way.

Wheeler and Little are good. I wouldn't trade them. I don't know. It's hard. Re-build in year 7? They are still young. Wrong systems. Wrong voices. That's all I can think

It's overwhelming. There's a sense they could do nothing. What can they do? On the other hand there must be consequences.

Stafford shouldn't see the ice again after zero effort on that first goal. Something has happened. They dealt with injuries and a terrible schedule and at least made an effort. Now they clearly don't give a ****. Coach gave them an easy practice and challenges them as men. What more can be done. Team is way more talented now then two years ago. But heart is way way smaller.

I wasn't serious.

Ehlers lucky to be mobile Jets have the talent. They just don't give a **** And unfortunately they seem to have tuned out the coach. And that's the kiss of death.

I've seen 2 goals on 3 shots and Helle was hung out to dry on both.

Damn it,..am I going to have t buy this thing now? Actually the GF hated the original Mario Universe or whatever the hell it was called. We enjoy playing Mario World on Wii U (we like the co op side scroll). Is Mario World 3D on Wii U worth it? Its a co op right?

Im probably done with Nintendo. Unless they promised to release a new Mario Bros side scroller every single year.

I agree with @Goalie I like Maurice and want him to be successful. But barring a re-build, its the coach who pays the price. I dont think Wheeler, Buff or Little are issues or going anywhere. Wheeler plays his heart out. If anyone is an issue, maybe Buff but he seems like a non-factor as far as setting bad examples or causing issues. And players have said he's great at lightening the mood when needed. Its also not to be forgotten that even though Kane pissed everyone off and wanted out of Winnipeg since Day 1, it was Buff who finally decided enough was enough. I think it's systems and how they're coached. Maurice might be fine. But Im not sure he is. Not yet. But I agree about Wade and Huddy. Two areas that have been constant issues and shown no improvement since day one. Time for a change.
