  1. Did he really??? I thought I heard something about Laine playing his "natural side" and I thought no way did he switch him. 19 goals? Must be on the wrong side. Bye bye Maurice
  2. I generally agree. But it's like twiddling your thumbs while Rome burns. Plus he hired two coaches now. That's on him.
  3. I bet I feel the same as many. I want to like Maurice. I want him to succeed. And I know firing him doesn't change much. But you have to consequence failure. Chevy is next.
  4. Is there something wrong with you? When your entire asset management plan as it relates to the expansion draft is Hutch is as the expendable goalie you do not send him down. Regardless of how little the risk is plus the difference between success and failure for the jets is not their back up goalie. Its like saying the problem with the titanic was the food.
  5. Yes Ducky. It's Helles fault when the team is inconcsistent and unprepared. It's his fault when they take lousy penalties. It's his fault when they play like they'd rather be anywhere else. What's the score on your TV? On mine it's 6-1. Not 6-5. Do you want Helle to score too? Changing goalies is a band aid. Helle is a good goalie. You want Emery? Pavs? You want to throw Comrie to the wolves? Halak?
  6. Hey Chevy, your team is as inconsistent, undisciplined, unprepared and shitty as it's ever been. They just got blown out and embarrassed at home. What Is your comprehensive plan for making this team a success? Chevy: "we just need to go on a run" This demands change. Sometimes you have to do something to remind people you're in charge. Has to be something done
  7. Come on..... Its not entirely his fault. He will pay the price because that's how it works. But he IS the one that rewarded Helles great game against Hawks by calling him below average and benching him against the best team in the league. That was a lousy COACHING decision
  8. This team is no better under Maurice than Noel. So are you saying we should have kept Noel? undisciplined. Unprepared. Bad special teams. Bad D. Bad goaltending. But it's just the goalies? Listen, if Helle is secretly the coach and GM and captain and Veteran leader then yes blame him.
  9. Smoke and mirrors. He made them get fit. And then got better players. They are much better on paper than under Noel but no better on the ice. So it's not the coach. But he has to pay the price anyway. That's how it works. Keep changing coaches until the right mix of talent makes us a competitor and whomever the coach is gets the credit.
  10. Why should Ehlers care? He's played hard all year. He's 19. He sees no consequences for shitty veterans. Bottom pairing D that sucks and GM does nothing. This team is finished. Hard to be a fan of this garbage.
  11. Yup. Right or wrong the coach needs to go. But Chevy gave him this team and picked this coach. No problems were fixed. GM has had two coaches. Does he get one more? we used to talk about the stink of the Thrashers. It's still here. What is Captain Wheeler doing? Because his team is too often unprepared and unmotivated what is the leadership on this team? Young? Ok. Be young and play hard. Young and shitty is a recipe for disaster. Means the youth are learning bad habits. This is embarrassing. Sometimes it's hard to make a change just for change sake. But trade some ******* dead weight. Bench some veterans. And yes, fire the HC. They won't yet. Probably gets all season. Jets will be officially eliminated and will play okay at Years end to make all us idiots feel hopeful. Nothing will change Fire him now. Trade the deadweight. Lose every game left if you have to but TRY!
  12. Hard to stay positive with another year of this. When is Chevy's contract up? If it was this hear I'd be hard pressed to give him a new deal.
  13. Did I mishear Maurice say that Myers is getting close?
  14. Yes. He probably has X amount of teams that he provides to the Pens that he'd accept a trade to. Vegas exists now. One would assume it wouldn't want to go there anyway so its a moot point. They probably keep him till end of the season then trade him. They won't get as much as they otherwise could because Pens will *have* to trade him.
  15. Future? Hutch is a backup. The back up doesn't have to be a young stud. There is thought that if you're back up is your future starter maybe you're doing things wrong. He should play loads of minutes in the A. And win the job in camp. Like Helle. Hutch is a back up. Yes the jets could get someone else to be back up. But hutch is a player they like. Who's been with the organization. He's the back up. And you don't expose that to waivers unless youre fine with losing it which the jets aren't.
  16. Which four? And also you think the Jets as an organization would shank Hutch like that? Business is business but you don't want to start looking like a meat grinder for players.
