  1. Just came to post the same thing! Lol. For the record this means it's the 6th longest leriod without snow since the late 1800's
  2. Ehlers is quietly having a hell of a season. 17th in league scoring. Burmi playing well since the trade rumours.
  3. I agree. But they also have that in Stu who married a local who also happens to work for True North. Might be some pressure not to trade Stu knowing you're basically upending the life of a local who works for the organization. I could see both in roles where they transition to the AHL if they are willing.
  4. Yeah they'd have to recast a 15 year old Jax for sure. Unless they did a duel time-line show. One thing I always wished David Chase had done was a Sopranos prequel. Whenever they did the flashbacks showing Tony's father and Uncle Junior, Livia etc, the casting was tremendous.
  5. I just went to read about this and the First 9 is the proposed prequel that is not currently planned. The spin off is Mayans MC, focused on...the Mayans MC. The lead Mayans biker is in it which is cool, but Im not sure that concept can carry a series. SOA wasnt a great show. It wanted to be the Sopranos (and when I tell people about it I usually describe it as The Sopranos of bikers but not nearly as good). The writing was uneven and the plots at times ridiculous. The series succeeded because of the strong cast and a solid over-arching storyline. The First 9 would be more interesting but again, Im not sure the creator has the talent to effectively make it interesting enough when we already know what happened. Regarding age, now that I look, Pitt would be the perfect age to play John presuming it takes place around his "resolution" as John and Pitt were about the same age.
  6. I think Brad Pitt was a fantasy because of how much he and Hunnam look alike. Wouldnt Pitt be too old to play Jax' father now?
  7. One would have to assume he's a lock for the Hall of Fame this year.
  8. And in the latest "As TNA Turns", Corgan claims he and Anthem have reached a settlement. No details. Word is Anthem was willing to pay back the loans and interest but no other payments related to Anthem's purchase of TNA. Its why Anthem is "buying" TNA in every way but officially.
  9. I can only imagine that he sees the writing on the wall and makes some adjustments or MOS gets more involved. More likely, nothing changes. Maybe nothing changes all season. But I just thought it was interesting that Lawless planted the seed that the Bombers can do better than Hall...makes me wonder if that's the opinion of Miller.
  10. The talent on D was let down by the coaching. I saw Lawless subtly mentioning they can do better than Hall, that was a couple of weeks ago so I expect this to become a story as the off-season progresses. if Lawless was talking about it, he got it from somewhere. If they retain Hall, he will be the first one canned if the D doesnt improve quickly.
  11. I guess the whole making a murderer case was discussed here so:
  12. http://www.cnn.com/2016/11/14/us/justin-ross-harris-trial-verdict/index.html?adkey=bn Justin Ross Harris guilty of murder, locked 22 month old son in car all day while he sexted.
  13. Good lord. This is ridiculous. And the schedule is brutal. For a team already having to travel a lot at the best of times, saddling the Jets with this schedule was ridiculous and shouldnt happen. if they can maintain .500 into December, they deserve great things when all the bodies are back,
  14. Nope, only you get to decide the veracity of other people's comments. Coincidentally you also yell the loudest.
  15. I find it interesting that Ehlers and Laine are playing the wings they prefer not to play. Why not swap them? Laine, for one, floats over to his off-wing a lot anyway. Wheeler is playing well but not scoring a ton, but playing with rookies. Even as well as Petan as played, he's no Little. Little's return will help Wheeler a lot. I imagine Petan goes back down. There just wont be enough spots for everyone. Connor could go down too. Might see Stafford get traded...not sure how he fits in anymore. Stafford as 3RW pushing Armia down...? I guess. It makes for a solid 4th line. But if Armia keeps playing well he's better than Stafford and then what? Stafford wont be effective on the 4th line. Trade Stafford to someone who needs a veteran goal scorer.
  16. They might be barking up the wrong tree because there is a lot of backlash to a white actor playing the lead in a film with that setting.
  17. Thats a good point. The first time I heard Chelsea Dagger, I think it was a Playoff game and Chicago makes sure the song and fan celebration is apart of the experience, even for the viewer at home. Hearing it clearly, and watching the fans dancing and singing was pretty cool. Almost made me a fan actually, just so I could hear/see that again. I like Jump since it's sort of Heritage year but its not a great song. I mean, it IS a great song but not for goal celebrations. I was shocked to hear, I think Detroit, using Rock & Roll Part 2 as their goal song. I thought that had been black listed.
  18. Saw the trailer for The Great Wall before Dr Strange and the reaction in my theater was pretty consistent - a film about China in medieval times staring...Matt Damon???
  19. You know you're grasping at some sort of ego-driven straw when you're scouring the internet for articles to show routine election analysis is some sort of commentary on the absurdness of a large group of people. Its much simpler. Some get their backs up because they are far too committed to the idea of their position rather then the reality of it. There has not been one single relevant, level-headed comment in defense of Trump in this thread (that I can recall), Too many people (in politics and observers/voters) get so defensive that they dont care WHO their candidate is, just that he IS their candidate. As a conservative, I was willing to give Trump the benefit of the doubt at first...and even for quite some time. You will never find a candidate you fully agree with. The task is to find someone that is close enough, that you truly feel will benefit your country (or Province, city etc). So you agree with most, perhaps disagree with some. But that's taking for granted its about politics. With Trump, even if I agreed with 90% of what he did, said, positions etc, the things I disagreed with were not political disagreements. They were things that disqualified him, in my view, from holding office. If David Duke put forth the most brilliant platform in American political history, he's still disqualified. Trump disqualified himself. And that has nothing to do with Clinton (so lets not go with the 'yeah but Hillary' garbage. But Trump has won. So the hope is he rises to the challenge. He hasnt shown, in the days since the election, that he is going to. But with an ego like his, one can hope the thing that challenges him the most is not just being powerful, but being good.
  20. What's hall's contract? His D isn't good enough. Can't fire MOS for one play but that was as stupid as any play call ever.
  21. Someone should pay the price for that. How much do you have to be up to be able to win? Disgusting loss.
  22. Absolutely ridiculous. Should Hall be back??
