Come on...lets not kid ourselves. The player is lying to try and get out of a suspension. Period. If he's claiming that he suffered a concussion that, if the bump never happens, he's never taken out, never diagnosed, never has a single symptom, then maybe concussions are so nefarious that every physical play should result in immediate concussion protocol. Which would be ridiculous. Which was my point ofcourse. The defense is ridiculous and cowardly. Grown man should take responsibility for his actions.

Thats really interesting stuff. You always hear about athletes carbo loading before games but I always feel like **** after a big plate of pasta. My gf went to a naturopath and they did DNA testing and provided her a print out of how her body reacts to various foods and it completely changed her diet. I've been meaning to do it. She was a vegan and consumed a lot of soy but the testing showed she was actually allergic to soy. Its interesting stuff.

The Jets' have said in the past their intent has been for guys to over-ripen on the Moose. Their decision making with Petan and even Lowry and Copp might not show that. But they had holes to fill and lesser depth. They have better depth now. They will lean towards good players spending time on the Moose and developing their games and embracing the Jets culture and earning the spot on the big team.

Caught part of the coach's show and I realise MOS is never going to say anything but it was hard to listen to. His interview with media was more interesting as they tried to pin him down on some things and he was a bit flustered, went off talking about being a parent when asked about his coaching. It seems to me he thinks players should just always be ready to play. And maybe in a perfect world thats the case but in pro sports, is it not the job of the coaching staff to prepare the players? I think Willy is rusty, a bit shell shocked and learning a new system so Im hopeful he gets better. But the lack of emotion and fire by so many players this early speaks to the coaching.

Im surprised he specifically mentioned Burmi but im a Burmi fan so its good to hear in that I think Burmi is a consistent player. I think he was probably mentioned because he's versatile in that he can play C or Wing and can play checking or offensive (despite his numbers not being very good, he can hang with the offensive lines). I think unless there is a significant trade, the team goes into training camp with all the bodies and makes everyone compete. I dont see Connor on the top line. For them to move away from E-S-W, it would be Laine. Laine has a real chance to be the top goal scorer on this team right off the bat. Ehlers prefers RW.
