Well Arizona did just sign Goligoski to a 5 year, $5.75 m deal. So now they are just under $15m from the floor.

There are teams that need to bring on contracts to make the salary floor. Rumours or Coyotes taking on Datsyuk's deal for that reason. So *maybe* you get Arizona or Carolina or someone to do that. Sure, they'd want something else as well, but maybe a larger deal with a trade in players and they take Pavs.

Settle a debate. Hutch has a One Way contract so to be sent down during the season he'd have to clear waivers. But can you assign waiver-eligible players to the AHL before the season without subjecting them to waivers?

RAW ratings up 15.6% from last week. Sometimes, the curiosity of a title change boosts ratings but that has not been the recent trend. Will be interesting to see if its Ambrose that is drawing or not. Also, AJ seems to be moving numbers too.

Agreed Brandon. The thing is like fruit of the poisonous tree. I posted information from the first accuser and it was 100% extortion. Jackson's advisers said pay him off and then suddenly you're wide open to it. And partially due to Jackson's own reckless behavior. Even after multiple accusations he didnt seem to change the position he put himself in with children. Its like the accusations were so silly in his mind he didnt consider it could happen again and again. Ultimately, the issue is so clouded by the extortion and whatnot that who can say. Ultimately, I wasnt there so I cant bet my life. But to me, I wasnt there to see OJ kill Ron and Nicole but I know he did it. I'd say my belief in Jackson's innocence would be somewhat less than my belief in OJ's guilt for obvious reasons but the point is somewhat the same.

I'd be calling the Flames and trying to interfere with their pursuit of Bishop and see what it would take to have them take Pavs off our hands. Jets will have to retain salary for sure. Or maybe Carolina or Arizona depending on their situations. Arizona has nearly $20m to spend just to get to the salary floor. Since Pavs is UFA after this coming season, it might just as well be the Jets say f it and keep him. My prediction is Helle starts with the Moose with Pavs and Hutch on the Jets. If Pavs really struggles and Hutch is the usual Hutch (decent but not great) then the Jets have an issue because its not just calling up Helle, it's dealing with the politics of Pavs and what to do with him.

I do not believe Jackson was a pedophile. I do believe he was very reckless. There was simply too much evidence that pointed to ulterior motives on the part of the accusers. In fact it really painted any "evidence" against him with a grain of simply not being able to be believable. This is not to say I dont think jackson had deep-rooted issues. He clearly did. I read a great book about this, but too long ago to remember details to counter every argument. If we continue to discuss this, Ill review the book...lol Also, its not a dodge Rich. Would you let a stranger in your neighborhood have your child for sleep overs? Its really a silly question actually...would you let your child sleep over with Jackson. It implies you'd let your child sleep over with any number of strangers. Most parents would not. And in the case of Jackson, my worry would not be him abusing my child but in being irresponsible in managing the safety of my child. Obviously, anyone accused of child abuse would raise the flag of caution to any parent. But prior to any accusations being made, would you have let your child sleep over? I wouldnt.

Would you let your children sleep over at the home of any adult you didnt know very well? I know my answer. Has nothing to do with his celebrity or accusations. Most parents would be more protective of their children than that.

How about incredible coincidence that he was extorted, children admitted to lying, AND he was a pedophile. Incredible stroke of luck. But to be fair, I dont ignore evidence used to paint him that way. I just think its silly to ignore the other evidence which some (or one) in this discussion is doing. Its like arguing OJ didnt do it. lol

One could argue the Jets sent Helle down last season when he arguably deserved to stay up. And one could argue they did it because he was the "easiest" to send down out of the three. That is still the case this year barring a trade of Pavs. It wouldnt surprise me if Helle starts with the Moose.

This will spiral off topic. But actually I have provided much information supporting the fact Jackson was a victim of extortion. Ofcourse being found not guilty doesnt mean he's innocent. OJ clearly did it and he was fund not guilty. But its a pretty large coincidence that there is overwhelming evidence that Jackson was extorted AND also happened to be guilty. What luck on the part of the extortioners. In the face of the evidence against the idea of Jackson as child abuser, its somewhat irresponsible to just say "but I dont care about any of that".

Again you're making assumptions. Look no one will change your mind. You can just open a phone book and point to a name and call the person every name in the book. Doesn't mean you're correct. People can call you a pedophile. Doesn't mean it's true. You won't look at actual facts. Just whatever supports your opinion. So let's not argue about it. Its legitimate in the sense they test. But in a world where Hunter isnt tested, Cena isnt tested (or always manages to pass), there will always be questions. Basically some will say the drug testing is an IQ test meaning if you fail its because you're stupid. Top guys can afford top stuff and know how to cycle on and off. No details on what it was or when it was discovered but this dovetails to what I thought was odd - WWE's production meetings are late afternoon of the events and following which, "smart money" suddenly comes in on betting sites. ie. insiders bet on the finishes. But the smart money came in on Saturday following a meeting. So I would guess they learned of the failure late in the week or saturday, had a meeting to discuss change in plan. Originally the odds were Roman retaining and Owens winning MITB (there's a PPV in Canada this year where him cashing in would be huge) and then they suddenly switched to Seth winning and Dean winning MITB. This also explains why they totally shotgunned the Seth/Roman rematch and the revelation of the three way at the next event which is 5 weeks away. Usually when they have 5 weeks, they dont do anything, preferring a 2-3 week build. It was eyebrow raising when they announced the Battleground main event so soon. The question is, will Roman be off TV? Under the terms of their wellness policy he can still work TV and PPV so as not to hurt WWE but would be off houseshows, missing houseshow money and unpaid for 30 days. I'd guess they leave him off TV for a couple weeks to let everything cool down, maybe comes back the week before the PPV or at the first live Smackdown (the draft). But you never know with WWE.
