  1. Yeah and sometimes the "Vince Factor". In the case of Bryan, he passed all testing repeatedly and would still not be cleared. WWE is hyper-sensitive to this right now due to lawsuits. I would say the fact it was so visible and scary probably means they will lean to taking more time than necessary. But it depends on Enzo's concussion history as well. Im not away of any prior concussions. The releasing of pics of Enzo goofing off last night is probably to control the message that he's fine and it wasnt a big deal. But that look on his face and his limp body when it happened was scary. And the Vaudvillain trying to drag him to his feet was all sort of wrong.
  2. I'd assume the selling off of customers and stores is to preemptively address competitive criticism and ensure a more level playing field. However, I did read that provinces with only 3 service providers pay significantly more than Manitoba customers. So its almost assured that prices will go up. I'd suspect there will be some price wars in the early going as loyal MTS customers feel less inclined to support a Brand that exists in name only and are more susceptible to jumping to a competitor. I did a quick look at union agreements and Bell seems to pay quite a bit less than MTS does. Although I dont know if Bell has a series of agreements across the country since pay in one area would not be equal in another. I know a big concern will be the pension plan of which many in MTS have a good one.
  3. It would be hard to believe Toronto wouldnt take Matthews. Maybe not a 100% lock, but likely a 98% lock.
  4. The claim is this was never the plan but its difficult to believe that. It will be a shame to see MTS swallowed up after 100 years. But ironically, MTS started when the government bought out Bell's assets in Manitoba back in 1908. So it comes full circle. While this should lead to better technology in Manitoba, and perhaps more competitions as Rogers & SHAW will want to fight it out with Bell, hopefully it doesnt result in too many employees getting canned. Anyone know the Union status of Bell, are they unionized?
  5. http://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/business/bce-to-buy-manitoba-telecom-in-friendly-deal-worth-3-9-billion-1.2883261 WINNIPEG -- BCE Inc. has a friendly deal to buy Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. in a deal they value at $3.9 billion. The deal will add Manitoba's largest phone, Internet and wireless company to a Montreal-based telecommunication business that stretches across Canada.
  6. Went back at watched the interview with Laine. Super laid back and ultra confident. I like.
  7. Another update. Being called a sever concussion. Had a CAT scan. Released from hospital. Remembers everything up to the spot in question. Wont be cleared until he passes concussion testing so probably out for a little while. Wonder if they will let him work as a second for Cass.... if its me I probably have Cass give an emotiona update and seek revenge on the vaudevillians alone until Enzo makes his return because it should be a big time reaction.
  8. If I recall she responded to concerns over supply of dairy to northern communities by suggesting they should eat cheeze whiz as a substitute to milk. So not too wise.
  9. Too bad about Enzo. Last word he was already released from hospital so we can assume it wasn't a serious concussion requiring observation. Scary seeing the slow mo. His eyes were open but glasses over and he was out cold before he hit the floor Very good main event. Really over booked and designed to get the Mcmahons over. But in saying that it was still really good dramatic. Incredible timing by AJ on everything.
  10. I know you know the difference. Dreger didn't report the jets were listening to offers but he did say Edmonton would.
  11. Dreger reports they are open to it.
  12. That's not true. How players are used is part of getting the best out of them. It's not always your three best players on line one. Malkin is on the third line right now
  13. It's not saying Connor is better. Just the way to distribute players.
  14. Laine is 6'4", 209 lbs. 18 years old. Goodness. If he's 2RW thats a big RW corp. If he plays 1LW that makes our top line fast and huge.
  15. Im a low tech guy and don't know to post pics but at this site http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/toronto-maple-leafs-win-nhl-draft-lottery-brendan-shanahan-auston-matthews-patrik-laine-winnipeg-jets-blue-jackets-oilers/ there is a funny pic of Chevy and Burke at the moment Calgary was revealed to have dropped to 6th. And Burke's wife tweeted "resting Burke face", Funny.
  16. Not to mention too many bodies in the mid to bottom six that could sweeten any possible deal he wants to make. Jets don't have a third round pick though so I'd suspect they keep all three of their picks in the top 36. Unless they trade down to add a couple of 3rd rounders but I doubt it (I think they've done this before though). Jets are at a point now they need quality players over future picks/prospects. If the top six are: Ehlers, Scheif, Wheeler, Little, Laine, Connor. That leaves a lot for the bottom six. Perreault, Lowry, Burmi, Stafford, Copp, Dano, Tanev, Armia, Thorburn. I guess thats not a lot. But its depth.
  17. Iv heard some describe Laine as having the most upside of anyone in the draft, including Matthews. But upside isn't always attained. Knowing Chevy he will go off the board. lol
  18. I don't feel bad for Edmonton. They will still get a heck of a player at 4th
  19. Lawless story: http://www.tsn.ca/jets-leafs-win-right-to-add-key-pieces-1.481527
  20. Too early to call. But our top six seems cemented more or less. And the bottom six will be very competitive. Too few spots for too many guys so something will give. Wouldnt be surprised to see Chevy trade some guys for more picks/prospects.
  21. Jets really won. Moved up 4 spots. Jackets move up one spot. VNcouver fell two Calgary fell one
