Well part of the issue is Antifa isnt really an organized group. Many left wing protesters may identify as supporting the antifa movement (and who wouldnt...arent we all anti fascists?). Trump announcing the terrorist designation was just a distraction designed to rile his base. In fact its designed to create violence because those gun-toting idiots can justify to themselves that everyone protesting is antifa and antifa are terrorists, ust like al qaeda so they can be killed. And obviously to distract from the fact that the bulk of violence is from white wing groups. And sure, you DO have some crazy far left nuts too. But the FBI has been saying for years that the largest domestic terrorism threat are white supremacy groups. Trump has been oxygen for the smoldering flames of those people.

I was thinking about protests in terms of gathering in respect to COVID. There is a local rally at the Leg tomorrow evening that is getting some traction. Id like to go. We should all go. Wear masks folks.

One thing is becoming clear. The rest of the world is viewing the US like the US views those dictatorial countries. Imagine that.

If the military continues to move away from this as they should and IF Trump loses and tries to "defend" himself using DOC swat members, those dudes will get a hell of a rude awakening if coming face to face with actual military protecting the constitution.

I’m a big guy. I have a buddy who is 6’1” and 350lbs. Not fat fat. Just big. Reminds me of trump in how he carries his weight. Trunk wears the baggy suits to hide it. When he’s in his right fold outfits you see how obsess he is. I’m sure he’s over 300. Does it matter? No but he’s lying about his health and a guy that self conscious and vain has issues.

For intimidation and to make Trump feel warm and fuzzy. The Chairman has no authority over anyone and is, in fact, barred by law from having command authority. He is a General and the highest ranking military member though so if he was wearing his uniform, that would be fine. But battle fatigues?

Yeah and to be clear there are some really great cops. Ive known a lot of police over the years, had many great interactions from my many years of bar security. But the blue wall is very real and the sense of loyalty to one other so great that it seems to go right up the chain. Where the public would normally expect leaders to want to weed out bad cops, they are loyal to them.

Maybe the Sec. Defense should have a chat with the AG about ordering military attacks upon peaceful protesters.

Im a white guy and a similar thing happened to me with the police here. I can only imagine how much worse it must of have been for a person of colour. The justice system has their little tricks. Lying in police reports, "losing" evidence. And if you push the issue as I did, the Crown actually negotiated on behalf of the cops that I drop my LERA complaint or they'd try to proceed against me. And my lawyer also told me not to push it, saying "do you want every cop in town to know your name, photo, address, license plate, place of work? Because they will."
