  1. Wild got a haul from Pens. That’s the definition of win now (or rather win over the next two to three years).
  2. Saw Dr Sleep last night. Really likes it. Especially liked the scenes at the hotel. Would have preferred a different version of Jack though. He was okay. But get Nicholson and de-age. Or Christian Slater!
  3. I get the impression by event series they probably mean a limited episode series, like a premium series but on a network. So maybe 8-12 episodes.
  4. Awesome! I'd tune into that CSI. We started watching well into the run but caught up on the early episodes. Began drifting away when it got a bit out there and when Peterson left, I tried it a bit but didnt last. Peterson is always great.
  5. What change? Trading the leading goalscorer who is 23 and signed long term to a great contract?
  6. KC being traded is laughable. He'd have to hate Winnipeg and desperately want to go and even then, they'd keep him til the bitter end. His talent and his contract is exactly what teams like Winnipeg covet. Unless someone was offering a big over-pay, he's the type the Jets would trade FOR. He aint going anywhere. And neither is Ehlers.
  7. You think AEW is WWE-lite? Hmmmm, I mean, they're both wrestling. WWE definitely has a slicker production. Both sides have excellent wrestlers. Im not sure either would be "lite" of the other.
  8. AEW is drawing over 900,000 so give or take a bit are close to a million. The interesting thing is the combined audience on Wednesday isnt *that* far from what WWE draws for RAW & SD. No one is going to be Austin or Rock. Or nWo. But I think the point was probably just that Hangman has the potential to explode within the context of modern wrestling, which is to say he wont be Austin or Rock. But look at Kenny who absolutely exploded and was a big business mover in the last couple years. Again, not Austin or Rock. But a genuine draw that sold tickets just by being on a show. Can Hangman be that? I dont know. I think he'll be big for AEW and sell merch and help sell PPV's. But I agree with you fully...no one will be Austin or Rock.
  9. New Japan announces a return to MSG in August, the day before Summerslam in Boston. New Japan calling it Wrestle Dynasty and promising it will be a Wrestle Kingdom quality event. Pretty big deal. WWE had tried to block New Japan from their first MSG show but law suits convinced MSG to go ahead with it. Presumably, New Japan is now wide open to run it after selling out the first one. AEW was blocked from running MSG though and will be running Newark instead.
  10. You brought it up. It has nothing to do with this thread and little to do with the XFL outside of WWE's largest sharholder owning the XFL. Although I do think they drew WWE fans to check out week one out of curiosity. I expect pretty big drops next week (and probably for the other weekend games this past weekend).
  11. Oh a wrestling hater. Well that explains it. Plus, WWE's demos trend towards the 50+ anyway.
  12. Certainly not by me, a staunch critic of WWE. But to pretend 3+ million viewers is a lousy number is just plain WWE-hating. It really doesnt matter because they could have had 20 million and it wouldnt have mattered until we get into week 3-ish. But if they draw 3 million consistently over time, they will have plenty of offers from networks, cables and streaming services. Personally, I think it fails. But 3 million isnt nothing.
  13. WWE (@WWE) Tweeted: #WrestleMania 37 will go Hollywood when it emanates from @SoFiStadium in Los Angeles on March 28, 2021! https://t.co/r3OWRNYddl 4th time to LA. Hoping for Vegas.
  14. Yeah sorry. First game. Hard to get a read on it. Let’s put it this way if it draws that consistently it’s a home run. If it has the expected drops offs then it’s not. But most feedback has been positive. I think they’ll see this as a big positive. And hope it sticks. AAFL was prime time so not an apples to apples comparison. And they didn’t have network tv after week one. Wwe does. The only merit comparisons to the debut of the original XFL have are in showing how much tv view ship has changed. And what is considered good. At these numbers it can certainly be a success. By the way, Seattle and Ohio were the two highest viewing areas
  15. It was believed to stand for that by most inthe media but never really did. WWE is being sued because I’d involvement with this XFL. It was promoted on wwe tv this past week. Wwe people are working on it. Vince claims wwe is billing Alpha for it.
  16. Might the jets be interested in JG Pageau
  17. If Laine plays up to his potential all the time he’s going to get 50 some years.
