Oh yeah, Rafl, who I like. He could be getting a hard look as the 12th/13th. I figure he gets offered a two-way deal but sticks with the Jets at season's start. I actually did think Brendan would get the few game try out. But they see what they see. He needs time to grow his game.

Not surprised by Lemieux. Really a no brainer when you have junior time left unless the talent is really, really there. No need to rush him for that role. Surprised by Armia. He played well. Hopefully he gets top six minutes for Manitoba and becomes a potential call up. Halischuk and Fraser give the Moose some more veteran leadership. I figured Hali was the 12/13 forward for sure. So lets assume it's Copp-Thorburn. Who's the 12th and 13th forward? Im surprised Petan is still being looked at. Maybe they really like him for the second PP unit and want to try to fit him in somewhere.

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call
The Unknown Poster replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
This one seems so ludicrous though because it's not just a blown call by an official who made a mistake. He signaled the player fine, then flagged him late. Was he just being a malicious ****? Is he intellectually challenged? It cant be an honest mistake. He couldnt have forgotten in the few seconds that passed. Its either gross negligence gross misconduct or some personal issue between ref and player where the ref decided he was going to "get" the player. -

Brandon - what did eric steal from ecw besides talent? Most of the guys who bragged about money were lying. They were well paid yes but wwe was competitive on money by late 97 They filled up the nWo because they were planning an nWo TV show. -
Winnipeg Sun This supposed rivalry between the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild finally might finally have a little bit of animosity in it. After the Jets were drilled 8-1 by the Wild on Sunday, Jets head coach Paul Maurice expressed some frustration during his post-game media address. “You never get an option in this league,” said Maurice, when asked about his young group going up against veterans in a lopsided affair. “You get into those games and you know, they're going to keep putting out good players, like when they've got an 8-1 lead and they've got a power play, the best is coming out. In an exhibition game.” A follow-up question later in the session about whether Maurice had any issues about how the Jets opponents conducted themselves brought an interesting response. “No, it was just an honour to be in the same building with them tonight,” said Maurice. There was sarcasm dripping from that last comment by Maurice and it's important to remember that it was the Jets head coach who actually promoted Wild head coach Mike Yeo as a strong candidate for the Jack Adams award as NHL coach of the year last spring after the job he did getting his team back in the race when they appeared to be down and out. Yeo was told of the frustration that Maurice expressed about the No. 1 power play unit being sent over the boards late in a blowout during a pre-season game and the Wild bench boss didn't apologize for the action. And Yeo made it clear that this move wasn't about getting the first unit some additional work because it's so late in the pre-season – which would have been an easy out. “Well, I was pretty upset that (Anthony) Peluso was running around,” said Yeo, referring to the Jets enforcer, who got involved with Wild winger Thomas Vanek late in the contest. Jets centre Mark Scheifele also weighed in on the subject of the Wild possibly trying to run up the score further in a blowout. “Obviously a little bit (of frustration), but on the other side, a lot of teams would be doing,” said Scheifele. “It's pre-season and guys are trying to get practice. You don't get a lot of reps on the power play in pre-season, so maybe that's the reason. We don't want to be in that situation anyway, we want to be in a close game. We don't want to have to think about how rattled we are that they've got their big guns out for a power play.” Up until this point, the Jets and Wild have mostly been geographical rivals and haven't seen things go to the next level – something that makes sense considering the teams haven't met in the playoffs and haven't had many excessive incidents despite seeing plenty of each other as members of the Central Division. What we know is that coaches have long memories, so it will be interesting to see if there's any fallout from what happened when these two teams meet for the first time during the regular season, on Oct. 25 at the MTS Centre. To be perfectly honest, this friendly rivalry could use a bit of snarl in it, so kudos to the head coaches for doing their part. GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE? Although the Jets expect to open the new season with Jacob Trouba and Mark Stuart staying together as a duo, Josh Morrissey spent some time with Trouba on Sunday and that could be a pairing to watch down the road, maybe in a year or two. Trouba was the ninth overall pick in 2012, while Morrissey went 13th overall in 2013 and it wouldn't be a stretch to think the Jets' scouting staff envisioned the duo playing together at some point. “He's an easy guy to play with,” said Morrissey. “He played in the NHL at 19 for a reason. He has a ton of skill, he's great defensively, he talks a lot and made it easier for me out there. We've played together a few times before and it's always fun when we get a chance.” Through two NHL seasons, Trouba has already established himself as a 20-plus minute-muncher at the NHL and should be ready to take another step in terms of his offensive production this season. As for Morrissey, it's looking more and more like he's going to be with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League to start his first full season as a pro. Morrissey got a taste of the AHL during the Calder Cup playoffs in 2013 and played well and it's essential for his development that he embraces the chance to go to the minors and works hard to carve out a substantial role for himself. All young players want to be in the NHL – and understandably so – but the Jets have an excess of capable blue-liners, so Morrissey needs to play minutes in all situations to get his game to the point that he's ready to take the next step. AROUND THE GLASS Three players made their Jets' season debuts as Peluso and defencemen Andrew MacWilliam and Jan Kostalek all suited up for the first time of the pre-season...The Jets had only one player who finished with a positive plus/minus on Sunday and that was centre Patrice Cormier, who was plus-1...Wild D Matt Dumba had two goals and four points and finished plus-6.

Bisch didn't have an unlimited budget. Wcw was very limited when Bisch became executive producer. It had lost money every year of its existence. It only continued to exist because Ted Turner was nostalgic for the important wrestling (Georgia Championship and Crocket promotions) had played in the success of TBS. Bisch turned wcw around wcw in two years posting a profit in 1995. He was rewarded by being promoted to President of WCW He admits he got the idea for the nWo from Japan but it doesn't work without Nash and Hall and how it was portrayed. Bisch deserves credit for that. He never had unlimited budgets. There were always budgets. They grew because profits grew. He definitely made mistakes. He didn't elevate new stars fast enough. But WWE suffered the same fate. It's sort of the by product of success. And Eric's idea was to use the young guys underneath. It was a good idea but not elevating them in time was a mistake. On the flip side he did create Goldberg. Keep in mind Eric also had to do battle with corporate standard & practices that handcuffed him to such an extent they wouldn't let him use certain aspects of Jay Leno's monologue that jay used on network TV. Eric, to an extent was he architect of his own downfall. But he was ground breaking as a TV producer. And one of the finest non-wrestler TV characters of the modern era. -
According to lawless they have essentially agreed on term. You can't say a guy can replace Ladd when it's three years down the road. Myers and trouba replace buff now and for the next 5-10+ years. I think Ladd can contribute for the next 5-6 years in a way buff can't. Because while buff can dominate games he does so inconsistently. Ladd is worth more to the team than an inconsistent buff. Factor in Ladd's off ice contributions and he's more valuable to the team. Which is why management is working on him first.
-
In what way can Nic Petan and Ehlers take Ladds spot?? And Connor isn't even in camp. Absurd. Also Buff is arguably 3RHD behind Myers and Trouba. Not in all situations but of we could only keep two it wouldn't be buff

Some of tjay is true. Much of it isn't. Without Biscjoff there is no attitude era. There is no DX. There is no Mr McMahon. There isn't raw as we know it today. There isn't live weekly shows or monthly PPV. It's possible wwe would have developed al those things on their own. But they got them all from Bischoff. He didn't have unlimited funds. He took over wcw when it was losing massive money. He had limited budgets until he turned WCW around and made it profitable for the first time ever. He got large budgets because he made record profits. -
They had Ehlers and Petan with Scheif a bit. And I thought looked good again except he can't hit the broad side of a barn.

Ladd is way more consistent than than buff. And buff has already been replaced by Myers and Trouba to a great extent

I'll try to find the stats but I can't recall off hand when I read them that it doesn't really make a difference. -
Can't underestimate Bruins Doing something goofy. The benefit to Buff is he's a UFA but what they would want to give up for one year of buff won't be what the jets want to part with him
-
THE BOSTON GLOBE: Fluto Shinzawa weighed in on the recent “Dustin Byfuglien to the Bruins” speculation that arose in the wake of defenseman Dennis Seidenberg being sidelined for two months by back surgery. He suggested the Jets “would want one of the Bruins’ two 2016 first-rounders and help off the roster.” Given the Jets depth in goaltending prospects, Shinzawa doubts they’d have interest in promising Bruins netminder Malcolm Subban.

I generally do neither because anything of consequence will happen on raw. But live vs taped doesn't make much of a difference in ratings. -
@FriedgeHNIC: Nothing concrete, but it sounds like TOR is preparing to officially sign Brad Boyes. I see Ladd as someone who will continue to contribute as he diminishes though. Start a new contract as 1LW. End it as a good 3LW.

Up from last week. Down over all for the year. They drew their lowest rating of 2015 this month. Generally SD ratings are steady (or flat depending on perspectice). But they are down compared to average earlier in the year. When they move it USA there will be a renewed push which will fall by the wayside eventually as it always done. -
Keep Ladd. Trade buff. Need Ladd a lot more than we need buff. Keep both if possible. But we're not going to lose trouba, scheif, Lowry, Ehlers, Myers etc because we can't afford them And kept buff instead.

Chicago might have decisions to make every summer. But locking up that core they probably feel they can surround them with less expensive supporting characters and/or young players and have a shot every year

No End Call - CFL confirms it was an incorrect call
The Unknown Poster replied to Floyd's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
When it happens multiples the damage done. If it's the third play of the game then it's really no harm done. But at that juncture it ended the game. It's easy to say the Bombers put themselves in that situation and it's true but what if it was a great game and within three points and it happens? It was critical for the bombers at a critical time of a critical game. Imagine that ending a grey cup? I don't know why remedy there can be for something like that. Give us a point? I don't know.
