Lawless Leaves Free Press, Joins TSN Full Time
The Unknown Poster replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Will be part of TSN's The Reporters or whatever its called. TSN probably wanted him to be more free for their stuff so they made it financially worthwhile to quit the Free Press. -

Postma would get more than a 5th round pick on his own. -
Sure, why not. Whatever. WWE Network and Wrestlemania

The problem is they think quantity is more important than quality when it comes to writers. It was always "bookers" and it would be Vince with guys like Patterson. Then Cornette. Then Russo. Then Kreski. Then they decided they were an entertainment conglomerate so they needed 50 hollywood writers and its sucked every since. The writers write what they think Vince will like, not what they think is really whats best. Until Vince either broadens his willingness to accept ideas or the writers collectively grow a set of balls, nothing will change. -
Henoc on his way to Hamilton & Toronto for visit
The Unknown Poster replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Just need Henoc to bodyslam a sumo wrestler on an aircraft carrier and he's good to go. I'm sure an O-lineman can substitute for Yokozuna but I'm not sure where he'd get the ship since Canada doesn't have any! I believe that was the plan today. He was going to fly in on a chopper, land on the paddlewheel queen, body slam Sukh Chungh and announce he had signed a lifetime contract with the Blue Bombers. -

I wonder what her mom and dad think? Either "you shouldnt have sex before marriage or outside a committed relationship" or "Hey he's successful, good job, handsome, so good for you". Or somewhere in-between. -

One of the best sellers I've seen locally. I've known Danny since he was...14 or 15? He used to rile up some of the other promoters so we took him under our wing when he was a kid. I let him wrestle for us when he was 17, in a mask. He started his own promotion because he felt he and his friends werent being given the opportunity to be the new "top guys" in our promotion. He's done some very immature things. And I think his business model was wrong. But he's a good worker and a very good seller and I always enjoyed having him on our shows. -

I imagine this when I think of Muamba on a cross country tour. Just change out the US flags for Canadian ones. Keep the music. And call it the Henoc Express -
Conflicting polls The Liberal Party was the first choice of 31.5 per cent of respondents, followed by the NDP at 30.8 per cent, and the Conservatives at 30.5 per cent. The poll also found 3.7 per cent of respondents would consider the Green Party as their first choice, and 9.4 per cent of Quebecers would consider voting for the Bloc Quebecois as their first choice.

Yeah we have to see Petan with skilled NHL'ers. Havent seen that yet. But Im not sure where he fits. I just think they'd rather him play top line minutes with the Moose then 4th line minutes with the Jets. They have the luxury of sending him down, its not a big deal. He might be better than Armia but Armia might fit the 4th line better.
-
Armia looks good. I think Petan is on the bubble to play on opening night only because he can play for the Moose. All things being equal they might send him down right away and keep Lemieux for 8 or 9 games. Olsen looked good too.

I think because its not a routine scenario for women to make false accusations against people that advance to a Grand Jury stage. And because you err on the side of not wanting to victimize the victim over and over again and so you provide the benefit of the doubt. If the police are called and conduct an investigation, it wouldnt be overly difficult to determine if the "victim" made it all up for some nefarious purpose (in this case, financial). If the police conduct an investigation, submit it to the DA who assembles the Grand Jury, you've advanced beyond the point of this being a clear case of false accusation. It implies evidence supporting the accuser's position. Saying that, we dont know the veracity or scope of that evidence. There is also the sense that a woman is unlikely to put yourself through this. This isnt like some incriminating photos arise and everything is kept hush hush while lawyers work out a pay off. She didnt call a lawyer. She called the police. She went to the hospital for a rape kit. She eventually hired a lawyer. She's putting herself through this ostensibly to seek justice. If she made it up, she'd have to be nuts. Which isnt impossible. But generally unlikely.

U.S. Federal Election

Even scarier, he's a neurosurgeon. Very educated. Very intelligent. I find it so weird because being raised in a Christian family I was always taught that faith and science were not mutually exclusive. I dont know where otherwise intelligent people get the strong belief that evolution isnt real or that the Bible is meant to be taken literally. I respect faith but for me personally, things have to pass the common-sense test. -

NDP candidate drops out: Sandra Arias, the NDP's candidate for the federal riding of Battlefords-Lloydminster, has dropped out of the race, citing the "financial strain" of an extra-long campaign. "It is with great disappointment and sadness that I announce my withdrawal from the 2015 federal election," Arias said in a statement on Facebook. "Simply put, the financial strain of a historically long election has been just too much to bear for myself and my family." Arias urged supporters to vote for the NDP candidate who will be taking her place. She was the last of the 14 NDP candidates to be nominated when the riding's nomination meeting was held Aug. 16. Meanwhile, one commenter on Facebook said she voted in an advance poll and is upset her vote has been wasted. "I understand that you have your own life to worry about (and of course your family trumps everything) but I take election time very seriously and now if I can't have a vote (and all of the others that voted for you)," Michelle Eisenkirch wrote. But interestingly, some remarks she made were about to come out. She compared fighting online to "running in the special olympics". And there are many comments online from people upset that she quit after the advanced polls opened.

I don't see it. Trudeau has already said no coalition with Mulcair. Neither party wants to play 2nd fiddle to the other. If they topple the government and it goes to an election I can see the voters slapping them down like happened with their contempt of parliament nonsense. If the Conservatives get a minority they will form government and run it for a while. The NDP and Liberals simply do not have as much common ground as people think they do and the Conservatives would do what they did last times they had a minority. Find support where they can by giving some parties concessions. Do you think the NDP slipping has any connection to Mulcair saying he'd consider working with the Liberals or did he say that because he was slipping?

The Conservatives have leaped into the lead in the latest Ekos poll of voter intentions nation-wide. Commissioned for La Presse, the survey says Conservative support has jumped nearly 6% to 35.4% support in less than a week, largely because of the party's stance on the niqab. The Conservative surge comes at the expense of the NDP, and to a lesser degree the Liberals. The Liberals have climbed into second place with 26.3% support, the NDP are in third place ..losing more than five points and are now at 24.5%. Conservatives swing into lead, close in on majority government, new poll suggests Stephen Harper’s Conservative party has taken a commanding lead in the federal election race, according to a new poll With less than a month to go in the campaign, and heading into the first of three leaders debates, the Tories have moved ahead of their rivals with the support of 35.4 per cent of voters, according to the Ekos poll conducted for Montreal’s La Presse newspaper. Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have 26.3 per cent support and the NDP has the backing of 24.5 per cent of respondents. The poll questioned 2,343 people between Sept. 17 and Sept. 22 and is considered accurate to within two percentage points, 19 times out of 20 . The results would seem to smash the notion of a three-way horserace that has been recorded in polls conducted through the first eight weeks of the election campaign. “If (the Conservatives) keep those numbers up they’re very close to a majority — if not there already,” said pollster Frank Graves. “The numbers are about as good as we had for the final weekend of polling (in the 2011 election) when they achieved their majority.”

U of Guelph courting Kyle Walters

Hey he can write his opinion all he wants but he should make more of an effort to base his opinion on fact and not rumour. I also am free to share my opinion on him. He likely doesn't give crap what I say about him. You are entitled to your opinion. Doesn't change the fact it's wrong though. -
I'm not yet convinced that's the best use of Petan. Let him develop his offensive skills against pros in the AHL

It's pretty tough. You hope he is. We don't know the evidence. The little we do know the victim responded as you'd expect a victim to respond. Then the reports of no DNA... Kane's lawyer was a bit sleazy in saying he heard there was DNA from "other males". This evidence bag. Then the authorities saying evidence is accounted for. Something happened. The idea that she's looking for money just doesn't make sense. Victims are so mis treated. And if they were "talking" settlement and she made it up she'd take it. Hiring a lawyer who doesn't do settlements to come out swinging? I don't know. Kane might truly believe he's innocent. And she might truly believe she was assaulted.

Kosmo will season on the moose this year Definitely like the idea of more skill on the 4th. After two very early games I think Armia is making a case for it. Thorburn - Copp - Armia. I don't think they would have resigned Peluso if they didn't want him. He and Thorburn will spell each other off. Jets want the option of starting a killer if they feel someone might take liberties with Ehlers
-
Unless he really bombs Lemiuex should get a few games. No harm there. Anyone want to take a guess on the Moose line up?

Liking Armia more than i thought I would. Pencil him in on the 4th for now. Gives the 4th more skill.
