The concern I hve over the liberals choosing Trudeau is that party leadership was going with sizzle over steak and thought the Canadian public could be fined by rockstar persona, good looks etc. like they thought he would look even more cool and hip next to Harper and his dad's name would attrCt voters. And all that might be true but isn't it insulting? Substance should matter more. Yes the "best person for PM" carries a lot of weight with Canadians but still.... That's always been the problem with out system is Do you vote for party or person? If you despise the national party but Love the local MP or vice versa how do you vote? I think a lot of Canadians treat it like US politics and vote for the Leader.

She's a fringe candidate pushing a fringe agenda. Should we have a economy party? And a military party. And a foreign affairs party. And an aboriginal affairs party.
-
Dont they have this already? For home use?

I stand by my assertions that Trudeau's closing remarks were absolutely dreadful. Firstly by what he said "me, me, me, me, me" but mostly because of how he said it. And I've seen stories talking about the debate that have said the same. He was trying way too hard and was just creepy in his delivery. He has a lot going for him, he should stop trying so hard and be more natural. And I agree about May. How is she even allowed at these things. I wish the other parties just completely ignored her. She's a miserable nut job.

Is it good for Ben to do that, to work himself into shape or is the risk of injury to great for a few bucks?
-
Technically, yes. Anyone can be released from a contract.. I think cfl might frown upon it but alas. If they did it, the player might remember the good will and coming at that point might be a boost to the Bombers at the right time.
-
Are we allowed to sign him to a contract for the rest of 2015, release him in the off-season so he can pursue the NFL again?
-
No kidding. I bought tickets for the Silver City gimmick with the chairs that move. Cant remember what they call them. It didnt really enhance my experience. It was distracting. I'd try "4D" once for the experience. But it wouldnt be my usual movie going choice.

If the Jets played the Blackhawks in the playoffs and a woman made an accusation and her statement and medical exam fit the statement then yes, he should be suspended immediately. This isnt just someone made a prank call. There is forensic evidence. Detectives will know if they two of them were together, if Kane's movements that night fit the statement of the victim. Basically they will know if the two had sex. Her injuries will either confirm her statement. No injuries wont exonerate Kane. But Im not sure there is a concern of fans running around falsely accusing sports stars of rape.
-
If charged, this will be a test of the NHL... do they immediately suspend him? Do the Blackhawks? Should they? What happened to innocent until proven guilty. Should be immediately suspended. Too serious. Its not like he wouldnt get paid. This isnt like you or me at our jobs and even then some places would suspend or fire their employees after a charge.

If they can bend Taman over and get something valuable in return? First round picks in 2016, 2017 -
http://www.latino-review.com/news/4-d-is-comingand-it-wont-be-cheap A couple years back I went with my son and mother to Niagara Falls. It was beautiful. But to my surprise, also had this huge carnival-esque neighborhood next to our hotel to bank on tourists. Outside of the mirror mazes and upside down houses and Ripley's Believe it or Not centers, was this theater...a 4-D theater. What's 4-D? 4-D is when the movie goer is subjected to first person, actual 'physical contact' during a 3-D performance. A whale jumps out of the water? A light mist shoots you in the face safely from the 4-D theater seat ahead of you as you watch in 3-D. It's actually pretty awesome. Snow was foam. Rocky rides and drops were tossing you around while you are strapped safely in your seat. Even smells. Movie goers in New York are being promised the opportunity to experience 4-D regular theater films by the end of this year reports say. Imagine the next Avengers or Star Wars in 4-D! It'd be like a $30 two hour trip to Disneyland, Epcot or Universal Studios. “New York City moviegoers are going to be in for an incredible cinematic treat later this year,’’ Rob Del Moro, Regal’s Chief Technical and Theater Opperations Officer claims. Attempts at 4-D theater have been attempted and or 'improvised' in Times Square since 1929 with Broadway shows such as "The Broadway Melody" where the manager sprayed perfume in the theater during the performance, unfortunately to only linger weeks afterwards. It's evolutionary leap into 'Smell-O-Vision" in the 1950's was also foiled as the attempt to release scents of flowers and tobacco were of no avail in the film "Scent of Mystery" starring Elizabeth Taylor. In 1981's "Polyester" and 2011's "Spy Kids", 'scratch and sniff' cards were deployed but only reguarded as a cheap gimmick. Universal's 'Sensurround System' debuted vibrating seats in 1974's "Earthquake" to not even last to 1980. In the 80's there was Universal's "Captain Eo" starring Michael Jackson. A "Polar Express" that served hot chocolate you could smell at "Dollywood" Tennesse. Companies who are struggling with the conversion like CJ 4DPlex, are said to have installed 182 4-D sites in 34 countries since 2010 and the only one currently running a profit is Regal's "L.A. Live" in Los Angeles (due to an extraordinary inflated ticket price). It is anticipated that more cash-savy New Yorkers will maybe attempt the 4-D experience once or twice and then go back to avoiding high movie costs by purchasing regular film tickets. What do you think? Would you pay $30 to feel the air in your hair flying next to Iron Man? Feel free to leave your comments.

is there any thought as to why Taman hasnt traded for a new starter? Is the assumption that he has tried but no one is willing? No one available? Cap issues? When is Ray due back? Culdnt Taman sell the farm for Ricky Ray? Or is the thought now that the season is gone so dont give anything up. -
Yeah i don't know how anybody can object to having to produce id to vote. To call it racist or unfair is just being stupid or naive. Makes you wonder what their plan is. To round up bus loads of homeless people or others who wouldnt vote anyway, dont know the issues and dont have ID and drive them to the polls to vote "for the right party?" Just silly. Its the easiest thing to do, voting... something like 40 forms of ID are allowable. If you want to vote, you can vote. If you cant be bothered, you probably shouldnt be voting. Donald Sutherland, the occasional Canadian, notwithstanding.

@SportsCentre: Hamburg police confirm Patrick Kane is under investigation for incident that happened at his residence last weekend. http://t.co/NxDz0SSI85 @SportsCentre: Hamburg police chief adds that department is awaiting results of forensic tests and did not provide further details. http://t.co/w27H3lw4JB

@manny_ottawa: @pmharper "How can you identify voter fraud without being able to identify the voter" line stumped Justin. #macdebate I heard a bit about this. Is the liberal position really that you shouldn't have to show ID to vote?
-
It will be the "it was consensual" defense. And then it becomes he said/she said, depending on if the victim has any injuries. Ofcourse, having no injuries does not preclude it from being rape but it would help his defense if it goes that way. It would appear she went to the hospital fairly soon after the incident. You cant look past the fact there are nutjobs out there looking for attention and a payday but it ends up being a very difficult situation for the victim to go through so you hope that is not the case. Well, you hope none of this is true. But....

Too bad for Mulcair it violates the Supreme Court's position on separation.
-
Its not that they want to truly separate. They want to separate but continue to be propped up by Canada. Its disgraceful. If people in Quebec want to leave Canada, its an easy plane trip to somewhere else. But the province belongs to all Canadians.
-
It doesnt matter who won or lost unless someone won big or lost big. But people care. People who have an interest. If you dont care, thats cool, but doesnt speak for everyone.
-
Reading a CBC story about the debates and something I didnt know: Mulcair, whose NDP would let Quebec separate from Canada in the case of a clear 50 per cent plus one vote in favour I know Canadians are tired of hearing about Quebec separation but my Goodness, there's enough of a reason to vote against the NDP. If the NDP numbers tumble in Quebec will he promise to let them separate without a referendum?

http://deadspin.com/police-searched-patrick-kanes-house-in-rape-investigati-1722666552 The Chicago Sun-Times and WKBW-TV both report that the two may have met at a beach bar in Evans, N.Y. The station called Mickey Rat’s Beach Club, which we’ve been told is a semi-regular hangout of Kane’s, but the manager said that he didn’t recall seeing Kane there on Saturday night. The Buffalo News, which first reported the investigation, pegs a different bar. A young local woman has alleged that Kane, 26, took her to his Hamburg waterfront home and raped her after meeting her in a downtown Buffalo nightclub Saturday night or early Sunday. We’re told that was Sky Bar, a Buffalo rooftop club frequented by Kane. Social media puts him there into early Sunday morning. The Buffalo News reports that the alleged victim went to the hospital where she was examined, and a rape kit performed. Later that Sunday, neighbors told the Chicago Tribune, police arrived to search Kane’s Hamburg, N.Y., home. ***That last point doesnt sound like good news for Kane.
-
The manager of the nightclub in question said detectives called him and asked if Kane was there on Saturday night and he said he did not recall seeing him So thats one thing. If the manager is lying to protect Kane, he better get a lawyer. If Kane wasnt there, thats one in his favour. Generally, you'd think detectives would have to hear a reasonable story to do an investigations. The woman would have to have dates, times, places... Kane's home is very private, she will have to describe it. I hope he didnt do it. But I also hope this doesnt become a "we had a one night stand and now she's crazy" stories. I think the media is more sympathetic to the victim now than in years past. Didnt Kobe get off by buying the girl off?

^^^^That was the Liberal attack ad on Harper years ago. It showed troops and had a serious voice saying a vote for Harper was a vote for soldiers in our streets. That was during the "Scary Harper" days. Once he won and people realised he didnt have a secret agenda, it lost some steam. At least the "Justin" commercials have merit because he's clearly not mature enough to be PM. The soldiers in the streets commercials (and the rest of the Scary Harper stuff) were all made up. So it sounds like the debate was all about perception. if you're left leaning you think Mulcair did well. if you're right leaning you think Harper successfully defended his position. I was listening to CJOB discuss it briefly this morning and the woman (dont know her name as I dont listen often) tried to say Harper was condescending and Cloutier cut her off. She also said May was willing to admit when others made a point (May is there to try and beat Harper, she wants Libs or NDP to win). It sounds like Trudeau didnt do well aside from his "No one believes you" line. His closing remarks were just awful. He has acting credentials...well, he over-acted big time with his dramatic pauses and unnatural smirk, his super-serious voice...and ofcourse "Vote for me because I love Canada". *rolls eyes* I wonder what it would take for the Liberals to ever move away from Justin. Because Mulcair came across fair, reasonable and as some are saying "Primer Ministerial". If he doesnt have any Angry Tom moments, even if he loses to the Cons, you have to think the NDP under Mulcair have a lengthy future as official opposition.
