  1. I agree. It's a joke that she's even included. She's a nut job and a liberal hit man.
  2. Breaking news: all parties use attack ads at some point or another. I didn't get to see much of the debates. Seems like Mulcair did well. What was with Trudeau's closing remarks? Just awful. He really thinks highly of himself.
  3. How long before Chicago gets tired of Kane and moves on?
  4. @TheBuffaloNews: UPDATE: Police sources tell News that a young local woman alleges Patrick Kane took her to his home, raped her http://t.co/4vcpmanbo9 @SportsCenter: Blackhawks star Patrick Kane is subject of a police investigation in Hamburg, New York, his offseason home. http://t.co/WBVCb4aiAs
  5. If it's from a 777 how can there be doubt. I think they probably haven't linked it 100% but logic dictates here.
  6. @penguins: The #Pens have agreed to terms with veteran center Matt Cullen. Details: http://t.co/0yOe2zwNexhttp://t.co/qXgrLuk9Dl
  7. If Winnipeg could play in the South West for a couple of seasons, Quebec can play in the west. The NHL might time expansion with a new alignment. I saw some people pushing for an All Canadian division which sounds terrible from a travel and TV perspective.
  8. (CNN)Malaysia's transport ministry said Thursday that more plane parts have washed up on the same island as a wing part believed -- with varying degrees of certainty -- to be from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. Those new items, which the Malaysians described as pieces of windows, seat cushions and aluminum material, will be tested by the same international team of experts who are looking at a piece of a wing that the Malaysians said Wednesday is definitely from MH370. This is a good sign. There had been talk that no other debris might be located as the island is so small. The fact more debris is washing ashore could mean the wreckage was located in a rather small area and drifted together. I hate that its "pieces of windows" though... I have held out hope the main part of the plane was contained on the bottom of the ocean. Hopefully thats still the case. They need to find those black boxes. I think my initial thought that this was a catastrophic malfunction is going to be proven true...with a few remarkable coincidences thrown in (like the auto-pilot skirting several nations) EDIT: An Australian agency coordinating the search for the missing airliner, however, says there is no indication so far of any new aircraft debris. Hmmmm
  9. I guess you don't want to vote for anyone then. Those are dumbass commercials. And only dumbasses believe them. They make me want to vote for Trudeau just out of spite. Only dumbasses believe Justin isn't ready to be PM? Lol. I'd say you've got that backwards but I'm not here to insult people.
  10. Drift patterns also fit the current search area. It's going to take a lot of time and effort to find the plane. It took two years to find Air France and they had wreckage righty away and knew it's course.
  11. Good strategy!
  12. I guess you don't want to vote for anyone then.
  13. I laughed the first 20 times at the "Nice Hair Though" comment, but really they have beat that whole thing to death. I don't watch many commercials so I'm still in the lol phase
  14. Lawless said today the NHL would go 31 if they felt it was best. But can't see Quebec not making it unless the ownership group balks. They also could stagger expansion over two years.
  15. Well smart GM's would decide who they want to keep and trade away guys of value they could lose for pics and prospects. Detroit sounds like they will not accept moving back.
  16. I like the Trudeau attack ads. Pretty spot on really.
  17. Just our luck. The Jets will be a powerhouse of young players just in time to lose a couple of top six/top pairing guys to expansion.
  18. Has to be a done deal. Both cities have buildings and wealthy ownership groups. We know the NHL wants to go to Vegas. They literally have no choice now but to go with Quebec. I suspect they will make Quebec play in the west for a couple of years.
  19. @CBCAlerts: Officials confirm debris found on French island of #Reunion is indeed from the missing #MalaysiaAirlines flight #MH370.
  20. Are Canadians that blind? I hope Quebec wakes up and saves us...... ugh. ....I feel sick....... By turning to the Cons or by NDP voters voting BQ? I cant imagine the NDP do as well in Quebec this time... The thing about Mulcair is, he has been considered the potential weak link because he's prone to outbursts and coming across like an angry guy. His decision not to take questions caused backlash. He then did take questions and was well prepared in how he focused on the Cons and wouldnt even say Justin's name (amusingly it became a story when Harper kept calling him "Justin" rather than "Justin Trudeau"...). It will be interesting to see how Mulcair performs as the election wears on. As much as I like Harper, he can be his own worst enemy too. I think when he speaks and interacts, he comes across very likeable. But he seems to be so private or determined to not be caught "relaxing" that those moments are few and far between. I think Harper himself is the best tool against the "Stop Harper" crowd because he really does seem like a likeable person.
  21. Nanos Power Party index out today. http://www.ctvnews.ca/politics/nanos-on-the-numbers/ndp-numbers-plateau-as-conservatives-have-strong-july-nanos-1.2502214 NDP: 55 points Cons: 53 Points Liberals: 50 points pollster Nik Nanos spoke of recent polling results and said: “What’s interesting is that the direction now is starting to favour the Conservatives, while the NDP and the Liberal tracking numbers are starting to look a little flat – flatter than they have been in the past. Nanos described the index as a sort of “advanced indicator” that reflects some of the underlying opinions that influence voter behaviour. Though the index isn’t a direct measurement of which party voters are leaning towards, Nanos said an index upswing could soon translate into increased support for Harper’s party. Harper has also climbed significantly in the individual leader categories, according to this week’s Nanos survey. The latest numbers show 31 per cent of those polled would prefer Harper as prime minister, compared to 28 per cent for Mulcair and 22 per cent for Liberal leader Justin Trudeau. Obviously early but interesting. Is this an indication that when its "for real" people who considered voting NDP swing back to the "safe" vote? Or just the power of the governing party? I would have thought with the media coverage being negative on the Cons and positive on NDP that the reverse of this would be true, with the NDP climbing early. Its also interesting that people continue to see Harper as the best person for the job among the leaders. This really flies in the face of the Anti-Harper crowd. It makes me wonder if the "Stop Harper" movement is ill-advised. Might be better to attack actual issues rather than a popular leader that is seen by the most people to be the best person for the gig. And what the heck happened to the Liberals? It actually warms my heart a bit that people want more in their politicians then "young, good looking, nice hair, rock star". The Libs might have to do a 180 as this progresses if something doesnt change. They've branded their party "Justin" more so than the liberal party. Might have to change that.
  22. Here's a fun video between a very patient California police officer and a nut job claiming to be an "Article IV Free Inhabitant" (ie. Article IV of the articles of confederation). https://youtu.be/RB8katyjc9Q Ofcourse, she's 100% wrong. My favourite part is when she does her part for womanhood and literally cries rape for no reason. I can just imagine her whining about her right not to follow any laws as she's taken downtown, booked, appears before a judge and sits quietly weeping in a jail cell "but im a free inhabitant" uh huh Where do these people get these ideas. This is where I understand the frustration of officers when everyone they pull over "knows their rights" and begins quoting the law.
  23. I would think if the information contains anything like that it would be denied release on the basis of national security. which in itself would be suspicious.
  24. The only problem with the film is the studies that show a shot from the back would cause the head to move in the direction the shot came from. Which is counter intuitive. But the most striking thing is how many people including police immediately looked towards and ran towards the grassy knoll. That is instinctively where they heard or saw something The argument will be it was echos. But if I recall the initial talk was of less shots until the audio recording from a motorcycle cop was discovered and it was proven the shots came too close together to have been one shooter.
