Who’s quiet? It’s literally all over the news and social media. The alt right sure are delusional. Next you’re going to say trump is a hero for killing a general without cause, lying about the reasons and creating a fog of war that led to the accidental deaths of 63 Canadian so that Iranians would continue to protest their government as they’ve been doing for weeks anyway.

I started reading the Toobin (I think it was him) book about the conspiracy to take down Bill Clinton. Hilary famously referred to it as a vast right wing conspiracy and looked bonkers at the time. But the more you look into it, you see the right HATED Bill with a passion (and now Hilary ofcourse). Whatever side anyone falls on politically, facts are facts. Lots of facts show the right desperately witch hunting for dirt on the Clintons for years and facts show us Trump ACTUALLY is a criminal. Fact is, Hilary got robbed and cheated. Should be President right now. and Bill would make a fine First Gentleman...lol

Based on the director's comments it seems like his idea involves a new cast. It makes sense because Pine isnt even under a 4th movie deal now. Paramount wanted blockbuster revenue and spent blockbuster money but it just didnt work out. Trek can work and be a big deal but it cant be a a gigantic budget. Id be surprised if the next film isnt tied to the TV in some way, even if its just as producers and utilizing some of the people involved (set design, costuming, effects etc). I love that he referenced William Shatner. Any idea I'd pitch the studio would include Shatner as Kirk while he is still with us. And I think there is many ways to do it without over-using him or over-taxing him. Something akin to Luke in TFA, but a bit more obviously. Actually Luke in TLJ and RoS are good examples as he was arguably the biggest character in Star Wars (aside from Vader) but didnt have much screen time. Shatner has said its isnt so much about screen time as importance of screen time.

Im a big Harper fan. I think Cody spoke glowingly of him too. Im sure he had irons in the fire because WWE offered him a new 5 year deal and he's 40 years old. But he's way way better than WWE showed. I think he had a two week push where he won the IC title. He's good. And AEW could use some big guys. Matt Hardy is available soon too. Curious at what he does. When he was hurt, WWE was trying him out as an agent so Im not sure if that didnt work out or if it was just something to do with him while he was hurt. He keeps tweeting about a new chapter and whatnot. I think he'd be ideal in AEW too. There was actually a plan for a Bucks/Hardy's feud to cross over ROH/TNA but I think TNA nixed it. Even better if Jeff ever cleans up and do one last Hardy Boys run. Matt would be good for AEW too. Still looks good, pretty big name, very smart and creative. AEW announced the signing of Austin Gunn (Billy's son). They did a dark match as a duo so perhaps thats the plan.

EDIT: NXT delayed due to not being in top 50. They finished 55. Drew 721,000 so not a bad number. But AEW doubled them in key demo. Looks like the momentum of main roster on NXT being over has sent their number back down. Maybe the holiday break. Great for AEW who seemed to be struggling to now have two weeks in a row near a million. Last week was a great show, last night had a few stumbles. Very curious for next week and what NXT does. Consensus seems to be the Brock angle will lead to an NXT guy facing him at WM so Brock on NXT would certainly juice the rating but he aint working every week and then he'll be gone too. I'd say Vince ends up making an appearance lol

I almost put this post in the TV thread. So for me, 2020's most anticipated film is The Many Saints of Newark, the Sopranos prequel movie. I was looking for some info today as there hasnt been much. Some casting confirmations (Jon Berenthal as Johnny Boy, Tony's dad and Vera Fermiga as Livia which sounds awesome). Anyway, young Tony is being played by Gandolfini's son Michael. I missed this story about him last year but its a quick read but really insightful. When I saw him in The Deuce I didnt think he looked much like his dad, but in these pics you really see it. I like Butcher & Blade. I think people looking for a reason to complain just dont like their names lol. But they're a good mid card team. I really think Kenny was purposely cooled off because if you book him the way you *should*, then he has to be the top guy and that wouldnt give Jericho time to breath. They're 1-1 against each other. I always assumed the long term plan was circling back to that and having Kenny beat Jericho for the title (and then he'd have Mox who beat him, waiting for a big match too). Although Im curious how they avoid having Mox win the title...Maybe they will. Its tough. I think they under-estimated how much the fans wanted to see Cody beat Jericho. Im a sucker for heel champions and you push it and push it and make that babyface win really mean something, but....I dont know here (which is good, I dont want to be able to predict everything). Brandi had a great promo awhile back. A face promo where she spoke organically. She is good at that "Chief Brand Officer" role. If she has to be on TV, I just think its swimming upstream to have her play a character. Im critical of Steph for doing that. Brandi cant separate being Cody's wife, it just doesnt make sense and doesnt work.
