  1. Is this Wild streak among the greatest comebacks ever?
  2. They certainly can get in. Will they? Ugh. Good thing chevy didn't off load a D-man at the deadline.
  3. It's very emotional. I think I went on record here a couple weeks ago saying they wouldn't get in. I still think that but I hope in wrong.
  4. Jets just running out of gas. Maybe we can have a fourth line that plays next season to increase balance on the team and hopefully make the playoffs then. This year isn't looking too good. But keep the faith I guess
  5. Couldn't get into Ozz. I disliked the weird narrative style with the wheelchair guy and it just didn't seem very high quality. I tried but I couldn't do it. I generally hate fantasy. Lord of the Rings is awful. But I really like Game of Thrones.
  6. Well Ray Wan does a lot of work but he's criticised as unremarkable. He never did a sports project like this. He didn't have the expertise. I assumed he's engage the right experts but I guess not.

  8. So really then any non playoff team could make trades. That's very interesting. There is no conspiracy with the lottery. Just absurd.
  9. The fact they have to tear up all the cement concourses and redo them is outrageous. But at least the cracked broken concourses will look nicer. I know they've put a thick insulated cladding on the concourse walls.
  10. Im glad BBB is taking this measure. We shouldnt have to keep eating these costs to fix issues that shouldnt have occured from the beginning. On a side note, very disappointed with TSN1290 on this. This is a major story. CJOB broke into their regular coverage to do a quick story about it. 1290 was into their fourth hour of Jets coverage and it was the repeat hour. I guess no one in the building able to cut in for five minutes. And then when they do their sportscenter at 10:30am do you think they covered it? Nope. I guess thats a pre-tape too. If you're the ALL SPORTS station in town I expect the best sports coverage.
  11. So I completed Sons of Anarchy. I had sort of knew the finish so it wasn't a shock to me. I can see why people didn't like the final episode as it was written in away showing jax's moves rather then doing the climax first for the shock value and then explaining things after. There was something holding it back from being a truly great series though. I find a lot of people I know that thought it was the greatest ever are people that didn't like The Sopranos or Boardwalk Empire. It was "simpler", dumbed down to an extent but still good once you got into the characters. I found the development of Tig the most interesting and hoped they'd show more of that to end the series but they didn't. One could also look at the series as the journey of Chibbs to an extent and he is a great character and fine actor.
  12. When Jeff Oneil said on tradecentre that Bryan Little needed to step up I nearly fell out of my chair.
  13. I've seen speculation that Pavs would start which would surprise me
  14. Thats tough. For McDavid would you trade ladd & Buff. I think no. And simply because the Oilers have shown us that it doesnt always stand to reason that drafting that big time first overall player doesnt automatically equal success. And it would signal a re-building here which we dont need. We have two 'cores', the Ladd/Little/Buff aged core which keeps us competitive now and the Scheif/Trouba/Ehlers aged core which should keep us competitive for the next 10-15 years. We're lucky. The idea is if you have the right combination of both of those cores hitting at the right time, maybe something special happens. Ladd and Buff are not old. They are in the their prime and both should sign contracts that will see them with the Jets til their downside hits, in my opinion, and hopefully we can bring them a cup during that time. They are two guys that could see their jersey's hanging in the rafters of MTSC one day.
  15. Minnesota is scary. But you have to think DD comes back down to earth. The Wild will play a style that will protect him as much as possible but he HAS to come down sooner or later. Imagine a Jets/Wild conference final. Im sure the networks would be suicidal but the rivalry between cities/fans would be off the charts.
  16. Exactly. Cause where are we right now had Hutch not come along? Hutch still has one year left so even if he's the bonafide starter (and that isnt clear yet) and Pavs is his back up, it's still a good value as a combo. And when Hutch needs a new deal, it's Pavs last year on his contract. Either you eat the last year (and Pavs' money wont be too bad as salaries increase) or you trade Pavs. Unless he completely bottoms out there will be teams needing a veteran back up who will bite on a pending UFA...and ofcourse thats only if Hally is ready for the big time.
  17. Crosby's never been a FA. I was using a ridiculous example to mock the original post on the subject.
  18. Guys with worse numbers than Pavelec. That's who. 100% false. Pavelec is terrible. Did you read the links I privided earlier with stats to back this up? Have you provided links to the free agent goalies who were available at the time Pavs signed his contract and more specifically the ones we had a reasonable shot at signing? Fans are always geniuses when they use hindsight and pretend they "knew" back then when they didnt. Pavs contract was heralded by most as a good contract. It was a reasonable cap hit over enough years that if it worked out, he took us right to where we might have some young guys pushing him and if it didnt work out, it was not an albatross. He was the MVP of the team, which was a bad team, by the way. I guess we could just sign Crosby too...why didnt we do that? Hindsight is 20/20 but logic isnt. It was the right deal at the right time. And if Hutch hadnt turned out he'd be our starter right now, for better or worse.
  19. And you knew this back then right? So who were the free agent goalies that the jets could have signed at that time?
  20. Who cares about the pipeline. There were several better goaltenders available for much less through free agency. Who?
  21. none of this is true. Please supper your argument with facts. At the tjme he signed his contract who would you have called up from St Johns to be our starter?
  22. The new issue of The Hockey News (future watch) features the Jets on the cover with the caption "meet your 2019 Stanley Cup champions". I'd post a picture but I don't really know how.
