I also realised i wasnt seeing three star selections at the end of games which I think was an addition with a patch. So for some reason, my game isnt downloading any updates.
-
That sounds similar to what Im experiencing. Somehow it ended up with Stuart as 2LD and 3RD. So when I replaced him as 3RD with Postma, it gave me a warning about substituting and voila, Postma was now 2LD and 3RD and Stuart was scratched. Ill have to start over anyway as I want the updated roster so Ill play around with it. Not that the missing guys are overly important but it means no changes for other teams either. Plus, I sort of need Halischuk. Earlier I said the competitive was good (as opposed to NHL 14 where the biggest challenge was whether I could have a perfect season - I couldnt). Two loses in OT in 15 but the shots are generally 20-something for me and maybe 12 for the opposition. We'll see what happens as the season progresses. Before starting GM I played the Cup final game it prompts you to play. I was LA and the Rangers scored three times in two minutes so I assume better teams have a noticeable skill increase.

Do you think Jets will make any trades now?
The Unknown Poster replied to Brandon's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Not only has Frolik been very good, he's been asked to punch above his weight. He was signed to be the 3RW and has played top line and top six minutes and expected to contribute offensively. I think he's been great. We will have to over-pay for him because he's a UFA and teams will line up to sign him. He's the perfect piece to add if you're a playoff team looking for someone to help put you over the top. The Jets might look at that and decide they arent at the point to pay a player like that what he will get on the open market. That will be up to the Jets to decide in the off-season. This slump is a good example of why the team likely needs to improve the middle six and bottom six. We lack depth in a major way. I can see Bogo being traded in the off season (if Buff is resigned long term) but not for rental. Arizona would have to include something significant. -
Granted I was doing all this at about 1 am this morning. Ill try that roster update idea. I usually try not to be negative when they make changes because I generally find its not that I dislike it, its that Im not used to it. But Im not sure I even find the graphics much of an improvement over last generation. So far I do like the competitiveness. I played two games in GM mode as the Jets and lost both in OT. I miss the more simple menus though. No need to make giant graphics. The list style was perfectly fine. Commentary is an issue. Like I said, played two games and have heard everything said multiple times, sometimes the same line used repeatedly in the same game. The "TV presentation" is cool though. I also dont think I love Emrick. He's not offensive but seems to be reading a script (which he was Im sure) and isnt very "in the game" emotionally.

So I finally finished the main story in GTA V so I went out and bought NHL 15 for Xbox One. Aside from the fact that it seems this game sucks for everything from game play to the user interface, Im having a few problems. - How do I make sure it updates to the latest roster? I was certain there was a recent update (and several since launch). When I inserted the disc it did a lengthy update and checking online I went to Custom, Roster and then click on Create roster from active (or something like that) and yet it doesnt create an updated roster (ie. no Galiardi, Harrison, Budaj etc. Lowry was in St Johns with a lousy rating though I dont know if this was fixed in an update. HELP! - When trying to edit lines, I wanted to insert Postma or Chiarot into the last D pairing and it was doing something weird. When selecting a scratched player (after dressing him) it kept force scratching someone else even though I didnt have extra skaters. For example, I inserted Stuart on the second pairing and then trying to insert, say, Postma into last pairings it says "substituting this player....yadda yadda" and Stuart would be scratched from the entire game and Postma would be playing on two pairings. That drove me mad for about half an hour before I gave up. Any help??? Or experiences?

great finish to the game. Im more interested in the half time show generally though. And I love how every year people hate the half time show. Katy Perry was great and the spectacle was great. Katy seemed to be singing to me but obviously had backing tracks (and rightfully so for two reasons: 1) to make sure she sounded production-level from start to finish and 2) had there been any technical issues, they need to make sure the show goes on). Sure, the dancing sharks were goofy but it was definitely on-point with her sound. Lenny Kravitz was cool. Would have liked to see more. Missy Elliott was fine for the surprise but her singing a "hit" from, what, 13 years ago? I dont know...is that old enough to be a classic? The only thing I'd say is, shouldnt the half time show be as modern and representative of that particular year as possible? Shouldnt the feature or at least the surprise be people like Iggy Azalea, Ariana Grande or even Taylor Swift? Or a legendary act like Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi etc. Katy Perry is popular but she's a bit two years ago isnt she? But yeah, she was cool.

Don't trade Frolik. That's just silly. Even if he walks it's like getting a "rental" for free. -
Are they really going to choke away a playoff spot? Figure it out guys!
-
Jets seem to want hutch to take the starting job.
-
Hutch starts. Buff reunited with Enstron Bogo with Chiarot Halischuck lower body injury "beyond week to week". Potentially adding some urgency to improving bottom six.
-
Size difference means nothing. Especially if you're going to be a ****. If Rome hd stood up and defended himself then at least he wouldn't have looked like a complete tool.
-
Let's hope so.
-
That Jim Rome fight was great. If you're going to be an antagonizing d bag at least don't fall on the floor and turtle like a little baby.
-
Ive known people that do that 'beating a dead horse' thing that Rome does. Its because he thinks he's the smartest guy in the world and keep reiterating his point because he's so smart he thinks he's adding to his point everytime he repeats it. I just find his fake macho inflection and hyper-masculine delivery offensive. Hes the embodiment of D bag and I cant imagine how he walks through life everyday without being punched in the mouth repeatedly. I dont know him personally so maybe he's a wonderful guy. But his voice makes me want to punch him.

Someone correct me...wasnt Classic Rock rated higher traditionally? ie. Didnt POWER do classic originally and CITI did current Rock, then they switched and the classic had higher ratings in both cases? Or do I have that backwards?
-
I agree. I like Rich Ralph too though I know some dont. I find his humour hilarious. H&L are great. Lawless is almost always on-point even when I disagree with him, I usually find I cant help but admit he's right. And if you want inside info, you can sometimes read between the lines with Lawless as he discusses issues and things that he's not ready to "print" yet. They are good. Big Breakfast is great. Jim Rome, I just dont get. Such a stereotypical arrogant jock sniffing blowhard. Doing the macho sports guy gimmick and everytime I hear him on (for the three minutes I listen before flipping to CJOB) he's talking about himself or reading emails about himself. Does he talk about sports or just himself? 97 played Fat Bottomed Girls at 8:20 this morning. if their concept is to only play tippy top hits, I like it.

Worked out good for Jay. Good for him. He took his dismissal the right way and was a professional and got a second kick at it. Thats the right way to handle things. I also listen to BOB more than any other station when Im listening to music in the car because they generally play more tunes Im familiar with. But definitely Im a channel surfer. Most of the local 1290 stuff is good and easy to listen to. i draw the line at Jim Rome.

Too rich for our blood. -
Just threw it on the computer to listen for a few minutes at work and heard a couple of good tunes back to back. Seems its going to be an eclectic mix of classic rock and top 40-ish "rock". I wonder if it will cyphon some people away from their own BOB station (maybe a little bit of cross-over). I was intrigued by the potential for a country battle with QX. I like country but moreso for the "hits". But like many here, I'm a TSN 1290 listener in the car and when they have something crappy on like Jim Rome, I flip to CJOB. Not often I listen to music and when I do I flip around constantly for a song I like.
-
So...not country. "Big hits and classic rock."
-
We get all our D back and the GAA sky rockets. Lol
-
This is a surprise. But POWER sort of sucked anyway and country is the best genre in the world.
-
I wonder if maybe he sees all the D coming back and trying to do too much. He's still likely a better 7-8 option than Pardy though Pardy is cheaper. Surely one of Harrison, Pardy, Postma will be back next season.

Bombers trade Cory Watson to Saskatchewan
The Unknown Poster replied to Mike's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Doesnt seem like an overly wise move on Tamen's part. Are they that desperate for a Non Import receiver that they'd take a chance on an aging and expensive player that never stays healthy? And Tamen trading picks? ha!
