I dont believe that to be true as a friend of mine owns a hotel close to the Stadium and told me they have availability but with a minimum stay condition. Would it not make more sense to get a hotel room down town since that's where most of the action will take place during the week? I guess it depends what you want to be closes to. There was a large amount of business trying to book hotels just for the sat/sun at my friends location. I'd probably stay on Pembina if I was driving in. Close to Stadium, close to amenities and easy to get downtown via bus/cab/driving

I used to work for Ipsos Reid doing phone surveys. I thought I'd really enjoy it as I like that sort of thing. But reading the same thing from a script repeatedly takes the shine off. People were mostly polite, usually just hung up if they didnt want to answer. One campaign had me calling deep south U.S. and they were always friendly when they found out where I was calling from ("you live in igloos up there?"). I quit after they buttered me up about becoming a supervisor and then my supervisor told me what he made. Yikes.

Im surprised. Mostly because the general consensus out there seemed to be that management was, at this point, content to tank. I read an article that showed how they were purposely tanking, incing a bunch of AHL'ers and keeping better options on the farm etc. I mean really, all they can do at this point is work their way out of first over-all. Might as well force the season to be a goner for connor.

I get the Westjet call several times per week on my work phone. And ofcourse the usual e-mail ones. Not quite a scam, but I saw the Erin Selby debit-card skimming incident this past weekend. I found it interesting that she indicating her entire account had been cleaned out which leads me to wonder, did she not have much money or did she not have daily ATM withdrawal limites?

Pavs stats are unimpressive. Save save percentage as last year and under .900 his last several games. Hutch has the best stats in the league albeit with a small sample size. I'm all for taking in slow with development but I think hutch's next test is stringing together a few games and handling the work load Toronto not doing us any favours tonight blowing a 2-0 lead to the Kings.

Great analysis Goalie. I was at a stag party so while I watched the game I wasn't paying a lot of attention. But it looked like the jets as a team didn't play up to snuff. Every goalie will have terrible ganes and great games. It's consistency that matters. I'd get Hutch back in there soon just to let him turn the page on this one as quickly as possible.

Absolutely. Ladd takes time off the back check way too often to be a first line player and captain. He produces and plays hard so usually gets a pass from fans. But this isn't the first time that happened.

Latino Review reports Marvel offered Sony a deal to split Spiderman 60/40. Sony wants creative control which Marvel will not go for,. Marvel wants to dump Sony's canon and stars. No more Andrew Garfield. They further report that if the deal is done SPiderman could appear in Captain America: Civil War (which in the comic storyline, SPiderman was a big part of) but since they have a script locked, he wont be any sort of significant part. No more origin story either. An appearance in Captain to announce his return to the MCU and a new series of films.

Correct me if Im wrong but this shows us something. Maurice said you couldnt judge Pavs until the team as a whole played better D. Pavs' lower Goals Against but exact same Save Percentage tells me the team is playing better D, thus less goals/shot. But Pavs is still letting in the same ratio of goals to shots. This tells us that his skill lvel is what it is regardless of the team in front of him, does it not?

Its not even that Pavs was bad or "lost" the game. But he's fallen back into a below .900 save percentage over the last X amount of games. And whether its his fault or not, thats just not good enough. Things I noticed last night were that he goes down very quickly. he tries to anticipate the shot and gets hooked into making a decision before the shooter. He also seems to be a bit slower reflex-wise than Hutch and generally doesnt throw himself across the crease to make a miracle save like Hutch will do. Hutch plays bigger in net, is more positionally sound, quicker reflexes, doesnt often bite on fakes and doesnt generally expose himself. Im a Pavs fan but I have to think hutch gets the start on Saturday which is a monster test for him and if he plays even moderately well, Im not sure Maurice doesnt come back with him for another game right away.

Time to give Hutch a few games.
