  1. Yes. But the ruling on the field was: no fumble. So why was it reviewed at all? If the rule is that all turnovers are automatically reviewed, what would prompt a review of a non-turnover?
  2. OK. But the on field crew did not call it a turnover. So CFL Central Command thought it might be a fumble and took it upon themselves to review it? Just curious.
  3. I was at the game too and thought it was a fumble. But the game officials saw what they saw and they did not call it. If they saw a fumble, they surely would have called it. And CFL Central Command saw nothing in the tv replays to overturn the non-call on the field. I wonder why it was reviewed? What prompted that? Anyone know?
  4. It was a different era. Not necessarily better or worse than now, just different. But it was more innocent somehow.
  5. Wow! That is trivia erudition. I remember Bobby Kraemer with the Blue - Don Jonas was the regular QB I think. I was a kid playing football for Clifton Cougars back then. You could actually stand on the sidelines at Winnipeg Stadium during the CFL games, right on the sideline just down from the players bench around the 15-20 yard line or so and watch from there. If you behaved yourself no one would boot you out. Did that with a couple of buddies most games.
  6. Congrats to Justin Medlock - glad he is a Blue Bomber. Even if he bounces the odd one off the upright, he has been integral to this team in 2016.
  7. Milt and Matty often tip their hand showing pro-Bombers bias. They were just demonstrating a bit of even-handedness by calling a fumble a fumble.
  8. Ya, bring back Drew Willy! lol Nichols has been key to Bombers success this season and had one of his best games vs Lions IMHO.
  9. I had a good view of that play and Heath made no contact with him, not even incidental contact. Was MOS out of challenges? I think even Wally was expecting Bombers to challenge that call and get it reversed.
  10. Hoping our D plays better than last couple of games vs Stamps & Esks or it'll be a long afternoon. If Harris is healthy, then the O should be capable enough to score enough to win. Hope we see Flanders in there too. Go Blue!
  11. Crapinga for the Riders win! Fun game to watch.
  12. I am picking RBs in OT.
  13. Give me JFG over Demski any day.
  14. Hopefully the officials don't get all flag-happy and they just let them play. Also, let's hope the outcome isn't decided on the result of some yellow challenge flag.
  15. Bombers going Messam up.
  16. Thanks for the update Sling ........ BTW is your moniker in tribute to Cal's son-in-law Samuel Mayorga Garza Jr.?
  17. I'm one of the folks who wanted MOS and Walters both run out of town. Not because the record was 1-4 but because it was 13-27 with signs of retrogression. Now it is 20-27 - creeping closer to .500 - but not quite there yet. Is the MOS-Walters overall better than Joe Mack yet? Someone will know.
  18. Was hoping for a tie.
  19. 7 games ago many around here (including yours truly) were ready to mop the floor with these guys. lol Are they anywhere near .500 yet? Someone said Walters and MOS had a W-L record worse than Joe Mack. Lets see how the club performs in the home stretch and playoffs before we do any more anointing around here.
  20. Totally agree with this. McDuffie's return for TD was from around Winnipeg's 10 - that's 100 yards. I remember thinking geez, I hope they don't go right back to McDuffie, give the guy a chance to catch his breath - but sure enough. Boneheaded by Lapo or Nichols or whoever had the call on that one.
  21. Bombers playing with confidence so this will be a good battle vs a good Toronto team. Hoping for a breakout game from Bombers offence as I think this will be an exciting and high scoring game.
  22. Hope Harris doesn't push to go if he's not 100% - that hurts the team.
  23. All good points. For me, where Bombers are right now, 11 games into 2016, reminds me of where they were at 5-1 at the start of 2014 with Drew Willy at the controls. All the attention was on Willy - new QB - at that time but the Defence and Special Teams, and placekicking contributed hugely to the win streak while the offence largely sputtered and often failed to score sixes. When our opponents figured out Etchevery about 1/3 of the way through 2014, and the offence continued its futility, the wheels fell off the bus.
