Taman's main problem was that he relied on aging vet Cdn talent too much... kind of like what Walters is doing with imports.

I shouldn't be that hard on Kelly either... I think both Arthur and Franklin were damaged goods - trade was basically Bryant for Willis which wasn't that bad actually

Brock Ralph wasn't even a bomber when Taman was GM - wtf are you talking about? Kelly's Jabari Arthur experiment and gong show ratio management is what left us with Ralph starting... Ralph was NEVER meant to be a starter - depth guy just like Neufeld...

A few on this board have just descended into complaining for the sake of complaining... Walters has his faults but stockpiling CDN receiving talent is a total non-issue... how is that bad? We're carrying four on the roster - two of which will likely end up as our main SBs - Wolitarsky and Demski for years to come... and two with seemingly very high ceilings

Pre-season knee injury to Nichols has had a lot more impact than we give it credit for... Lapo WAS rolling Nichols out and moving the pocket... now I think everyone is over-thinking things. Should have let him ride the six-game out.

I believe Bighill is here just because of Oshea... same with Miller, Okpo, Miles, Nevis Hurl was 100% a Hall pick and project... I also believe that Osh/Walters let Lapo have too much influence on Walters' choice of players... I think Walters and Osh aren't independent enough actually... the guys seemingly connected to Danny Mac, Richie Hall, Lapo, Goveia and Rigmaiden are all kind of just not that great Danny Mac's connections were particularly awful actually - Walters could lose his job much like Osh because of their assistants

I see that point... but its ultimately up to the GM and scouts to compensate for that... I don't see recruiting as a major problem... JSK, Sayles, Alexander, Jeffcoat, Poop, Bryant, etc... there's a TON of very good D talent we've brought in - this SHOULD be the best D we've had in ages... The receiving core IS a mess and its not the CDN side that is a problem - its Adams, Bowman, Dressler, Thompkins, Washington, Lankford, Flanders... there is no receiver pipeline - the GM should have addressed this two years ago when it was apparent, instead he started signing free agents I really thought Goveia would bring in REC talent... even Rigmaiden... Mayo, Sheppard, Gordon... all these guys looked like they had flashes - why didn't they develop? Coaching or lack of talent...? Hard to say. Bottom line is that five years in, we do not have a slotback currently on the roster that is better than Clarence Denmark.

Just messin with you - its all valid points... but I actually think GM is the issue We've gone from no free agents Mack to too many free agents Walters...

Does Walter bring in players with or without HC/Asst Coach input...? Is Adarius and Durant on Walters... both prob paid big signing bonuses then gone for nothing... if Durant was still here, we would be finished and we'd run another year without discovering Streveler - Alex Ross would still be our 3rd QB... plus no Adam Bighill Bowman, Dressler and Adams are all basically guaranteed not to play a full 18 games... Neufeld instead of Bond... Legit concerns...

Durant handed us a gift-wrapped Adam Bighill... I'm eternally grateful. If Durant was starting, we'd be totally finished, he was garbage the last two years... and Walters would be fired mid-season.

We are entering 'Cheering for Austin's Season Ending Injury' territory if that happens...
