3-2... Sask will find a way to split... and we lose to either Ottawa or Calgary but not both
-
https://bomberbuzz.ca/2018/07/30/bombers-101-understanding-richie-halls-base-pass-coverages/ Great work... always very good analysis on this site
-
Totally agree with that cause.... but this is also the team that signed Trent Richardson... and still have him under contract
-
Riders sounding like they got Duranted... Juicy contract for a QB who probably won't play another season - doubling up a concussion is about the dumbest thing you can do.
-
Yes, I suppose I could predict that you'll find something to act outraged and sanctimonious about... that wouldn't really prove my psychic powers though. All in good fun... your TBurg tweet post was good for a chuckle today, no worries.
-
Isn't drug possession also a Criminal Code offence...? Guess it just depends on the crime whether you get released or not
-
Wow there's actually nothing that TBurgess can do that doesn't somehow offend you. Surprised you didn't go off on some tangent that his re-post of a tweet was too negative... ha
-
We'll see - I never liked Fenner at HB in BC... but if this is our biggest problem, its not such a bad year.
-
My turn to be OCD... checked the game out again... McAdoo called nothing but rushing plays in the first quarter... by the end of that Calgary was up 24-0... of course, Bridge is checking down, Calgary is in prevent for the rest of the game... McAdoo had no answers, no adjustments No QB is making that Sask OL look good...
-
Yeah, if a Wpg 'rookie' QB came in and did what Bridge did last year, you would have wet yourself. But yeah, sure, you're right - Brandon Bridge will never be good enough to be Chris Streveler's backup in 2020... what was I ever thinking. You can stop rocking back and forth now.
-
Fairly typical cherry-picking... sorry man - '4 years into his career' is bogus... 5 games over 2 years - then thrown into the starters role in his 3rd year... then thrown back in again in his fourth - only this time in some ridiculous Jones' rotation Bridge proved he could play last year - he wasn't 'great' but an avg what 200 yards a game in games that he started with a 2 or 3-1 TD-INT ratio - there's potential Ridiculous to write him off before he gets a chance to play with a decent OL
-
What has Sayles done that hasn't impressed you though? I feel like he has good chemistry with Randle... I think you have to plug him in as DI behind Alexander - leave him at ST specialist until an injury
-
So what would you do with Fenner once he's back? Honest question
-
Wow, you're pretty passionate about not liking Bridge... fair enough Not sure what you expect for stats... the guy has been rotating with Watford for most of the season Sorry man but we'd be 'fine' with Streveler passing for 165 yards and no INTs... and you know it I'll wait and see what Bridge can do against Edmonton - their D is still good but not as scary as it used to be
-
Yeah... um no you couldn't. And secondly, as I said, Bridge has potential... He's checking down more this year but that team is a tire fire offensively - last year, he played pretty well Again, can't use performance Claybrooks D as a gauge of his all around ability - Calgary has the best D in the league You're arguing a point I'm not making - I think Bridge could be a very, very good 1B QB in a couple years - I wouldn't write him off at all
-
Hardrick gets a lot of attention for running upfield... but Bryant is still our best OL - never hear his name and that's a good thing
-
Wow, MBT starting for Toronto...
-
I wouldn't get too freaked out about how bad a young QB plays against Claybrooks and Singleton... I like his arm mechanics, think he throws a strong ball and yes, I see comparisons to Mike Bishop... Bishop could have been a very good QB but he just never learned how to calm down... or perhaps think. Jarious Jackson played a significant role in Bridge's success last year and he needs a legit CFL QB coach - this year, he barely gets a chance to get a rhythm and now Jones is already talking about how Collaros is almost back... guy needs confidence and an OL... Again, I'm saying Bridge could be a great 1b to Streveler in a couple years.. so don't go all OCD on me and start arguing a point that I'm not making. I wouldn't take Bridge as a starter on any team right now other than the Als... Edit: And Toronto...
-
I'm still a big fan of Brandon Bridge... love to see him in Blue & Gold as a backup or 1b with Streveler eventually Stephen McAdoo is the worst OC in the league and there's some bad OCs this year
-
Couple things that seem to be overlooked imo... OShea really outcoached Trestman from what I saw - a lot of credit due for keeping his team motivated through the second half as well, kept the foot on the gas Bighill getting huge credit for JSK's development but I really think its the combo of Osh/Bighill that will be the difference this year - I'd still call this a Grey Cup team Leggett back at SAM is huge. Really interested to see if he makes a difference against Masoli and throws him off his game - before Leggett was moved back, we were getting killed on the flats. JSK-Bighill-Leggett is the best LB core in the league in my opinion.
-
Glenn has always been good at dumping off passes... I'm sure he'd be fine for an extra $150k... Really would like to see Walters trade Durant to Riders for a first
-
Hard to argue with any of these picks... but Neufeld and Hardrick are really exceeding expectations - Neufeld is the most intense I've ever seen him and Hardrick's downfield blocking is getting better and better - These were two of my biggest concerns heading into this year Also really liked the Adams block and the Woli TD - not the flashiest receiving core on paper but man they are clicking...
-
I thought 'not getting greedy and just settling for a field goal to tie the damn game' wins championships...
-
For a shutdown D with almost zero powerplay time, I actually think Morrissey is producing really well After Niku, I don't see a lot of two-way D waiting in the wings though on either side

https://www.tsn.ca/talent/nhl-increasingly-reliant-on-young-defencemen-1.1148442 NHL defencemen getting younger... although this chart lists Myers as our #1 Dman.... so maybe the info is a bit skewed Would be nice to see the Jets draft a scoring Dman again - think our forwards are pretty stocked for sometime
