I'm pretty sure there is not one person that would suggest we don't need free agency... or that our scouting has not brought in some good players - but receiver and QB have been a noticeable gap in that We're about to give up some very good defensive players probably because we need cap space to 'overpay' a REC or two in free agency... Asking for one receiver and one backup QB in four (now five) years is not exactly unreasonable... I'm hopeful for Straughan but not sold on any of our new REC yet

Interesting to look at that list of TOI leaders... Jets have two players in the top 15 forwards for average ice time.... Nashville, Vegas, St Louis seem to be rolling four lines more than the Jets

Yeah Helle's mind was not on this game at all... I'm just saying I didn't see a big difference in Chiarot's game... he still lags behind the play a bit - much better than last year though I'll say that Want Myers-Kulikov back together asap... Might as well put Morrissey with Buff again - M-M doesn't seem to have chemistry I'd still rather see Poolman in a game like this... we know what Chiarot is already

Konar is everything we wanted Waggoner to be and he'll only get better imo - plus Benevides system is similar to Hall's so I think you could plug-n-play at WIL Gascon-Nadon had a huge 2016 season but dropped off last year - along with everyone else in Ottawa... - I think you can get him at a value -signing if Westerman is deemed too expensive

Pretty much everything predicted when they agreed to get rid of the 1+1 contract has come to pass... GMs will not want this level of uncertainty every year, players will want their NFL window back - I think there's a deal made next off-season

Poop/Nevis are as good or better than Jeffcoat/Okpalaugo... I look at it as depth - for me Westerman/Corney is a much better rotation than Ekakitie/Laurent I'd rather spend big money on Konar then try for value signings of Gascon-Nadon, Lafrance and Demski...

Chiarot-Kulikov were on the ice for the first two goals... I feel like we're being a bit hard on the Jets... the first half of that game was really good then they just went to sleep because its the Coyotes... If Helle is on his game, its probably 4-1

So Petan scored a muckers goal... but he's no good... and Dano missed twice... but is just snake bit... Petan's game is very similar to Tanev's imo... except Petan is a set up guy and Tanev is, well, taller... If we're playing two LHD together, put Enstrom and Chiarot together... minimize their minutes
