Game 39 : Crooklyn @ Scheifeless
Floyd replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
You don't remember them last year, everyone was talking about how the opposition was pinned... they were very good I don't consider any of them #1 Centres... I'd move Little up and put Lowry or Copp at #2 Connor-Little-Wheeler Ehlers-Lowry-Laine Perrault-Copp-Armia -

MLA were as good or better than CLT And having a great third line is 'nice' - having your best players in your top six is better For instance, Copp, Lowry and Perrault are all better centres than Blake Wheeler... he should be staying on RW -

I'm not that excited about Awe - I didn't see anything special this year, almost seems like another Kuale...
-
Elimimian and Bighill were there before this guy I think Purifoy, Fenner, Burnham, Roh - that's some decent scouting
-
I could see Westerman as a cap casualty and a rotation of Corney/Thomas/Ekakitie as the NI on DL - really would like to see him back though

Except its not... lineup is being juggled yet 3rd line preserved at all costs Last year, Matthias-Lowry-Armia was a 'dominant' third line... could easily be argued this combo is better than Copp/Tanev Maurice just gets stuck on favourites - this will never change... -

I've always wanted Armia on a line with Laine... Dano-Hendricks-Armia - fourth line with scoring potential Matthias-Hendricks-Armia... good luck -

Marko Dano must have some off-ice issues to not draw into this lineup... 4th line is now a non-scoring plugger line -

Second line will be our 1st line in a couple games... not sold on the other combos and bummed to see Matthias back instead of Dano, Petan or Roslo -
Trent Richardson probably converted to QB next season - but only if Duron Carter is unavailable...
-
If the bombers change their ratio and can go with Poop and Nevis in the middle, that's pretty impressive... Probably a sign Bombers are moving to three NI OL...?
-
Is Spooner still a Blue Bomber...? Any word on a contract?
-
Connor-little-wheeler ehlers-petan-laine that would be my choice
-
I still think loffler could be a good WIL

JetsNation picks Joel Armia as player of the game!
-
Almost like armia 2.0

Steve Morley ✔@SteveMorley62 Replying to @DougBrown97 Richie Hall is a big reason free agents want to come to Winnipeg. A few free agent additions in February will have fans smiling again! I'm just trying to figure out which FA signings he is referring to...? Sam Hurl, Corvey Irvin...? Im sure Westerman signing began long before Hall arrived I don't think we'll attract another big name DT after Cummings and Nevis stats completely dropped off. Bombers have let a lot more free agents walk from D than they have signed - complete opposite story from the offence...
-
This was the conversation last off-season - Bass took the fall for Richie Hall and there was all this blah blah about a 'real' MLB - implying a 6'+ 240lb thumper - instead we got Sam Hurl. My concern is that we'll finally get a middle linebacker... and the new problem will be SAM - I could absolutely see Kevin Fogg penciled in at SAM for Game 1 Leggett, Heath and Randle carry this defence - without them in Hall's D, this is a losing team... with them, its a playoff game losing team...

This is probably Burmi's only shot to be on the Olympic squad... he'd never make the cut if NHL players were in - makes sense to give it a shot
-
You don't think he's retiring to play in Olympics?
-
Top line is exhausted...
-
Yup.... Drew Stafford.
-
I wonder if this means Pascal Vincent is now a brilliant offensive-minded coach...?
-
He probably cut into his savings while coaching high school football for the last couple years
