I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt... but I've also sat through mindless groupthink that declared only an idiot would sign Messam or justified one more year of Buck Pierce as a starter, ignoring Drew Willy's happy feet, etc etc... Not too long ago that anyone complaining about Mike Kelly and then Joe Mack were labelled as 'negatrons' that were ruining everything... Biggest problem on this forum are the braindead 'yeah what he said' posts. Just like the post, that's enough.

If you're going to express that skepticism, then spend a moment checking a youtube highlight reel or something instead of just arguing for the sake of arguing. Frederick's highlights show him all over the field pre-CFL. Moot point now anyway. Basic idea that we cut Greenwood and Frederick too early remains. Maybe Carmichael steps up this game.

It appears that Carmichael is having a hard time moving from CB to HB... I agree. However, it is very common for teams to move guys around in the secondary - so your point about 'he's a cornerback' is kind of moot.

You realize that TJ Heath and Bruce Johnson were cornerbacks as well, right?

Not sure why they don't just switch Heath and Carmichael at the very least... you would think Leggett and Randle would help him out on that side of the field
