Just can't see Maurice getting canned this summer... he'll be here until next xmas at least imo Myers is a great excuse to fall back on, Trouba holdout, Enstrom situation... young guys developing - giving them chances to make mistakes... goalie struggles, Pavs injury... The list of excuses goes on and on and on... plus if he's fired now, Jets still have to pay him for another year anyway... no? TNSE won't do that - maybe half a season but not a full one for nothing.

Maurice will put him on the third line to help him learn the defensive game for the last ten... good in the long-term... get him some 'sand'

Laine would win it hands down if Maurice kept him with Scheif and played him on the 1st PP unit...

This feels like a bit of a straw dog... Irvin is a 31 year old DT who was cut right after they signed a younger Cdn who the bombers were also trying for. Age and roster space is the issue imo. As a depth signing, I'd much rather see a new prospect than a journeyman like this in camp. What's happening with Laing? Is he out of the league until August trying NFL or what's going on....

I don't get the Irvin signing... I guess if its league minimum or close.

Works for me... they don't recommend extending Maurice until we see what this teams record is by December 1st...

I still cheer for Petan... Maurice jobbed him. Look at his first 15 games... he's getting 7 pts, -2 and about 15 mins per game, 19-20 shifts... quarterbacking powerplay (5 pp assists) Next 15 games... his minutes get cut to ~10 per game, 15 shifts... and he's 4pts, -1 Last 14 games... around 8 minutes ice time, about 12 shifts... zero pts, -8 This looks more like a player losing his confidence than anything else...

Yeah, Thorbs three minutes of ice time really made a difference...

Ehlers was flying around like a high school hockey player... meh. Laine 7th on the team on PP time. Thorbs three and a half minutes... of grit.
