I will never complain about an industry where Canadians get paid more than American imports. If anything, I think the ratio could be increased to 8 - CIS talent level has really increased in the last ten years. at the very least, there should be Cdn roster spot exemptions/rewards if teams want to carry more than the minimum... Draft picks should be under team control in an RFA-style format too... like drafting teams maintain their rights for five years or something

The Jets are a playoff team as soon as Maurice plays his fourth line and 3rd D pairing for more than 7 minutes a game... With Dano and Copp back, talent is there to roll four lines - moreso if Connor and Roslo make the move next year Enstrom and Myers are a pretty impressive 3rd pairing - but no way Maurice ever goes for that. He'll demote Trouba first.
