I get it - you're going to defend the coaches until we get first pick overall. I get it. But let's reframe this. Why couldn't Flaherty fix Pavelec's game after six years? Why did Chicago let him leave while Corey Crawford was developing? Interesting note... Helle's college goalie coach seems to have worked in the low glove position to his 'positional' style... so maybe they don't want it fixed... maybe this is just a rookie goalie that needs time

League noticed that Helle held his glove low from day one - everyone except Flaherty I guess... But also saying you need to stick with Helle now that he's been called up - if management is fine with rebuild, this is part of it

Sad thing is that Coyotes and then a journeyman Blues goalie would have been the perfect scenario for Helle to bounce back... Instead it will mean Pavs stays up for the season...

Trouble is the Jets have exactly the same problems as when they fired Noel... Goaltending issues, lack of consistent play, leadership disappears, still relying on top lines/pairings, lack of depth... This is starting to be on Chevy - there was a seven year plan to be a contender... not a 14 year plan.

Dineen would fix our special teams pretty quick... Maclean is very good with developing young players... but he plays a pretty wide open system
