  1. Neufeld 'was' serviceable in Saskatchewan... but no one blinked when he was traded. On a team that desperately needed to protect its QB, starting another journeyman at RT seems like a critical mistake. Especially one who is a guaranteed injury. Even moving on to an Andrew Jones or Corey Watman would have been an upgrade from Neufeld. The inability to find an import RT for now 7 maybe 8 years...? That is scary.
  2. Root of the Problen...!!!
  3. I feel like you didn't read this thread. Disappointing.
  4. Actually, I would like to see what Davis can do. So yes, it is that bad. Its funny, wasn't Masoli like Hamilton's fourth string QB last year? Now he's better than our starter
  5. My point is that I think you may have missed the obvious sarcasm of my original post.
  6. God I love having long hair.
  7. Interesting... tell us more about Nichols not holding the record for the most consecutive completions... and what does this have to do with Bryan Bennett.
  8. I expect both Willy and Nichols to be injured by the end of the 3rd quarter this Thursday...
  9. ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR?!!
  10. He's no Bryan Bennett.
  11. Steve Morley ended up looking pretty good, Justin Sorenson was terrible but is now a vet C in Edmonton... go figure. Labatte was converted to C in Sask. Bond is our import with the most interior experience. Moving from G to C is not earth-shattering... Hardrick played LT in BC and RT in Sask Neufeld has been a guard since his arrival in Winnipeg. This is his first real year at RT. Hey, I agree - it would be better to trade for an experienced, talented and healthy Centre... but its not happening any time soon.
  12. That's really good news actually... you don't think he'll shake loose? And is the door officially closed on Tahj Boyd? I would think his ego has taken a bit of a hit...
  13. He got reps at Centre in camp... and Goossen is struggling - better to give him a break than ruin his future. You think Hardrick can't play tackle? Neufeld was a 'decent' RT in Sask who was never as good as Heenan. He has always been an awful guard. Now he is injured again... You think screen passes are the problem and Jeff Keeping is a solution? Too early to have finished your 12 of Club, man. If Bond is injured, why is he on the 46... why not Foketi
  14. Bryant-Chungh-Bond-Goossen-Hardrick That's about the best option right now...
  15. So we've officially given up on Bryant?
  16. I'm not saying all those picks 'hit' - I'm actually saying they didn't and those teams still managed to win games.
  17. Actually people were saying that last year. Its unfortunate but concussions/injuries ruin good QBs... for instance, Matt Nichols... Buck Pierce... Or our next QB Travis Lulay...
  18. I see some posters are still clinging onto this one... that ship has sailed... Yup, our OL is not that good but... but here's some of the starting centres so far this year... Calgary - Roman Grozman, a 4th round 2016 pick that we valued less than Shayne Gauthier... Sask - Andrew Jones, an aging vet who really really can't snap BC - Cody Husband, a journeyman OL who really should be a 6th OL Edm - Sorenson, we rejoiced when he left... Ham - Mathieu Girard... who? You're telling me that every other QB has more time than Willy? And every other OC is better than Lapo? DelMonaco can piece together Grozman (4th round), Bergman (5th), Thorn (7th) and Wilson (undrafted) but Wylie can't even get production out of Stanley Bryant... Not buying it anymore.
  19. Then... we almost sign Brock Jensen who despite being offered more $$ signs with T.O. because of stability. We then head into the 2018 season with Darian Durant as our newly acquired, aged and broken QB but don't worry Bryan Bennett is looking really good as our short yardage QB. It will all be okay though because we've finally hired Doug Berry to run the show. And his first call was Greg Marshall. Well, actually his sixth call... but whatever. Danny Mac scores a major coup and signs 31 year old Bakari Grant to lead the team.
  20. just trying to picture the meeting where they agreed to stick with Brian Brohm.
  21. Mitchell Gale succeeded with a patchwork OL, a centre who can't snap, a raw rookie SB and Curtis Steele as his RB Willy has much more than this to work with... he's done, plain and simple. To claim that MB and Lapo have not tried to scheme the long ball is ridiculous. Yeah, I don't really like their game planning... but MB called some really nice games early on in his bomber tenure. Lapo has tried calling the long game, Willy just can't do it. How is it the OC or OLs fault that Willy has begun locking into his #1 target? Both Gale and Jensen were able to look off DBs... Willy can't, neither can Nichols. That's it. Starting to feel sorry for Gary Crowton...
  22. For Brock Jensen.
  23. I just don't see how either of those balls were 'catchable'... or if they were, then both should have been PI
  24. Gale - 350 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT and, hmm, 30 points with complete garbage OL Jensen - 275 yards, 2TD, 0 INT Jennings - 3-1 as backup-turned starter, 4 TD, 1 INT Harris - franchise QB Four potential starting QBs emerging while Walters stuck with Brohm and now Nichols... Five if you include Masoli as a legit starter... he's at least as good as Willy... Maybe Dominique Davis has something that Huff and Dickenson didn't recognize...
