  1. Ah the good ol' days... 'But we lost by less than three points'
  2. Tracey or Osh HAVE to send Stoudamire out on that last return with specific instructions to get out of bounds or get five yards... someone has to talk to him before that play - if they did and he ignored them, then bench him. Last year, same thing happened with Washington, no?
  3. Just watched the game... AFTER reading this forum. Was expecting a complete disaster but Bombers played a good game except for last two minutes of total collapse. Positives Richie Hall playing more man coverage, mixing it up - love it DL is getting 'better' still not good DBs hitting their stride Our 3 receivers are money Drew Willy is a great QB Stoudamire will get a TD next game, callin' it Negatives Coaching lost us this game Osh flubbed the timeout Osh irrational use of the ratio Tracey shold have sent Stoudamire in with specific instructions to get out of bounds Almost seems like our own coaches burnt LH on that last kick MB turtled after the half AGAIN. This isn't going to change. Ever. When the going gets tough, MB abandons the run, calls max protect (with Cronk or Pontbriand) and calls Moore's number 80% of the time
  4. Wonder if teams will end up having a convert kicker/punter and a field goal kicker or something like that... seems tricky to bounce between the two
  5. How is Randle doing at SAM? Didn't see the game but McDaniel seemed a non-factor... obviously, Cornish hit his stride
  6. In the new CFL, I could see a record year for tackles league wide... DBs are really playing catchup now Johnson's numbers are probably higher while Randle was figuring out SAM
  7. Anywhere I can watch this game... can't access TSN on demand because don't have TV and no one I know seems to have one either. Anything online? Or anyone have a Bell Guest password?
  8. Who takes second team reps at practice now? Isn't it Marve? A lot of times the 3rd stringer is short yardage... Only down side is that we can't cut Brohm now because he's a 'short yardage specialist'
  9. Passing on Messam was a mistake, it happens. Walters has been willing to pay big for NIs not sure why they didn't go after him.
  10. Worst roughing the passer call ever.
  11. Refs are on Picard this year...
  12. http://www.winnipegsun.com/2015/07/06/left-winger-cj-franklin-is-a-late-bloomer-who-has-taken-big-strides-since-being-drafted-by-winnipeg-jets Interesting, didn't know he was on the radar
  13. 'If he goes through practice with no symptoms, he's good to go.' What a joke. Sound like Tim Burke now. A second concussion while still feeling the effects, even mild, is what the real concern is. We do know that is serious. Concussion diagnosis really relies on self-reporting unless its clearly a severe case. I had one and still worked as primary wilderness first aider at the scene and symptoms did fully not materialize until 12 hours later. Didn't realize I had been knocked out until other witnesses at the scene told me. If Willy wants to hide a mild concussion, he can easily do it. Anyway, hope we win but I'd err on the side of caution. Especially after Buck...
  14. Sweet! Bring on Noel Thorpe's blitz machine!!! I'm sure MB will have a gameplan to keep Willy upright
  15. Funny, very similar responses that I got when I suggested that the team had rushed Buck back... and yes, I'm no doctor. But I do know that even if he has a 'mild' concussion and gets another head shot within the first three weeks, then thats the season.
  16. Oduya played like he wanted out but Burmistrov didn't... ooookay. I guess we got what a 2nd and 3rd rounder(?) for Oduya because he was playing so poorly. Oduya is a pretty good D but like most Jets, we ask for a greater role than they are meant for. I'll be surprised if Burmistrov doesn't end up as a healthy scratch by late season. Just seems like another Setoguchi to me.
  17. Well, I'll be the downer... but I think this is terrible news. I thought it was a bad idea to try and rush Buck back and I think its a bad idea to rush Willy back... he was unconscious and looked completely out of it even when he got up. Sit him for 2-3 weeks just to be safe - I'd rather have him healthy for the last 8 games than re-injured in Game 4.
  18. OShea is Oh... wait... 1-1
  19. Trouble is that it seemed like we had MB's max protect when we got blitzed... two RB/FB assigned to block when Willy got hurt. Basically, MB is like Hank and Frank... you either have a great OC that uses his RB to both run and screen, calls a nice mix (Sask) or he turtles (Ham).
  20. Not going to rag on Chamblin too much - T.O. starting to look like the real deal, Milanovich is doing a great job
  21. Isn't Morrissey over $1 million too?
  22. I thought contact was allowed within 5 yards of the los, has that changed? Yup. That's why you need man coverage now, Hall's bend-not-break zone has DBs sitting 5-10 yards back trying to 'read' the route Part of it could be that Hurl and Randle are just in over their head... Again.. How is this hurls issue? Does he cover #1,2 or even 3rd option receivers? No. He did his job against the run and his blitzes were never his strong suit. Your concern is misguided. Randle tho, I agree. He looks bad. Real bad at SAM. Dunno if that is due to him covering for others or just not his best position.. Ah yes, an MLB with no closing speed, just what every team wants.
  23. So they blitzed a tonne while playing prevent? Is that possible? You know what I mean - Ham stacked the box early but most of the time the middle was open, looked like a lot of dime and prevent to me - sadly, they still pressured Brohm with all their DBs deep... Basically, when Hamilton got the lead, the went into the conservative zone D that Richie Hall was hoping to use all game but just couldn't get to work. Then again, it was pretty hard to pay attention to the second half...
