Kromah likely to make Bomber debut Friday
Floyd replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I think Patrick Lavoie would make a fine linebacker. Definitely big enough and great hands. -
New short-yardage QB... great move.

I am excited about this. Kuale ends up standing around too much... still chasing the dream of Wild-Kromah-Sears... -
Wait 'til you see the signature reffing outfits... I like it - has all the teams colours to show there is no preferential treatment. Very positive 'feel' yet the black lines give a real sense of strength, firmness. Reebok really nailed this one. And every call is never wrong hence the happy face! Challenges would go way down.

I would have Woods and Stoudemire on the 46 - and just pick one of Cotton or Grigsby. Giving Cotton a couple touches per game is just pointless.

If that helmet was gold, it might actually be cool. But, currently, bowling ball it is...!
-
Maypray sure went from looking like the CFL's next big return guy to castoff pretty quick.
-
I predict that all the practice roster players get released at the end of the season.

Yikes. January's reaction makes a bit more sense now...
-
Have this feeling our helmets might be digital camo...
-
Walters must have noticed that we were concerned about international receivers. Good job.
-
What marketing genius came up with the 'player reaction' promo... January's looks more like a scene from Pineapple Express II

Plaid would have been cool on the shoulders - or total black jersey and a plaid helmet. Its 'okay'. Going to be impossible to follow games with these tiny numbers... can't wait to listen to TSN now.

CFL could always declare that you must balance the ratio... teams have to start 3 on one side, four on the other... up to them to decide which - that would allow teams to play more import OL and, pretty much, make defences worse across the league so you get more scoring.

Would love to see him debut for the Sask game... this is the RB that Bellefuile needs. Seems like the Colts have replaced the Eagles as our main scouting relationship...? Debut? This guy is not even on our team? He was on our PR... now the Colts have cut him - its not really rocket science. Odds are pretty reasonable that he's back here soon.

True but I have to say that the difference between MB and Cortez is that Cortez's game gets better as the season progresses while MB has flatlined in the past.

Nice scouting profile... except for the east-west thing. Positives: Built low to the ground with a thick, muscular physique. Bench-presses twice his weight. Plays bigger than his size. Good quickness. Finishes runs. Takes care of the football. Shows willingness as a blocker. Hardworking and durable. Team-first and football-smart. Has NFL bloodlines. Negatives: Lacks ideal height. Tight hips. Has below-average timed speed. Average vision and instincts. Wastes movement going east and west. Not elusive or creative. Minimal receiving production (lets throws into his body). Limited base strength as a blocker and will duck his head and whiff. Summary: Short, thickly built, between-the-tackles runner who was a steady, durable player for the Terps, but did not take his game to another level with a more prominent role as a senior. Does not excel as a receiver, blocker or return man to compensate for his lack of size and average athletic traits. NFL pedigree could improve his chances.

Only way to fix that is to allow teams to pay OL more... 46 man rosters have helped - but its still hard to develop OL depth when you're pretty much limited to one or two backups... if two of your main guys go down - like Hamilton - you're in tough. Aside from that, not sure what can help... refs already let everyone get away with holding every play

The RTP calls so far have been pretty suspect... more like Touching the Passer. Only QBs injured this year are Hamiltons... and Troy Smith (possibly).

Burmi Says He Will Return to NHL Next Summer
Floyd replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Don't see where Burmistrov fits with Maurice. Traded for pick... -
Well, 'filling in' for Mo Price...
-
weak...very weak...Tasker? Fuller? and Stafford?...we gave up on Urrutia because he couldn't catch... I hope you're just arguing for the sake of arguing... if Stafford had a Qb, he would be money - really like that guy. Fuller has done a great job filling in and could end up as a 1000 yard receiver.

Watching all the promo around the signature jerseys... lots of this talk reminds me of the spin when the CFL expanded into the states. That was a young, fresh, bold move to attract new, emerging, young, American markets and make the league exciting, fresh (again!), relevant, stronger, blah blah blah blah...
