  1. The more I watch Burke's D, the more I think his rep is based more on a really crappy East Division and Calvillo than much else...
  2. So much for 'a Cdn runningback will never be able to start in his first year'...
  3. Brutal hold by Federkeil on that TD pass
  4. K. For some reason it's not showing on the CFL.ca stats. Perfect Ricky Ray half. 15/19, 3 FG's on the board. BUT HE COMPLETED 80% OF HIS PASSES! Stubler D
  5. CFL might want to invest in some decent mics for the refs...
  6. Matt Walter and Anthony Coombs both looking pretty good... And Milanovich seems to be sporting some very Burkesque facial expressions this year... Rod Black loves Dwight Anderson. And Paredes misses!!!
  7. With Kromah on the IR, futures 'should' be a 5th-6th round pick... maybe bumped to a 3rd-4th if he plays
  8. Because I think Dunn is a bad player who looks better because Randle is on his side of the field. Essentially, I don't think he should even be on the team...
  9. Stafford ran a really nice route - rubbed Sherman on the ref and that was enough for a couple steps... still Sherman shouldn't be thrown to the wolves like this, give him a year to develop... I think Dunn's shallow coverage and hesitant 'blitzes' are much worse (but less noticeable) than one bad play against Sherman... Biggest difference - Dunn has Randle for support, Sherman has Bucknor... Sherman's side of the field is getting a lot more attention
  10. I'm with Noeller - Floyd - I hope you have a really good job, because I never heard of this guy either yet you seem to know him like we know Ricky Ray lol. You have a fantastic memory I started watching the Riders when they hired Taman and then more when he hired most of the coaching staff that I wanted for the bombers... Kromah was awesome in 2012 - I think he is an instant upgrade over Dunn... but depth anywhere else Still, a bit baffled by bringing him in - we haven't even found a spot for Stoudemire (who I would much prefer to see in place of Dunn...) This does remind me a bit of when Mack would keep signing DLs or Kelly would keep signing import RECs when we actually needed help everywhere else...
  11. Wow - last move I thought we would make... but I sure like Kromah. Kromah-Wild-Sears would be killer Makes me believe Kuale is injured
  12. Bigger concern on that one is Sears. None of our DB's are going to win that race downfield. Looked like they were in cover 1 (safety only man deep) and Sears was way late to read that wheel route, which was the only deep route the Als ran on the play. He reads that and gets on top of that route, it's nothing. This all kind of comes back to playing 3 imports on the OL... If we don't have to juggle, Sears is still WIL and more of a threat to stop Whitaker, blitz Smith... totally different game. I think you have to look at Swiston (if he is actually healthy) at RG or running 3 NI receivers Kohlert-Moore-JFG-Denmark-Carter
  13. We benched Woods for no reason - he hadn't dropped anything, Washington had one great return and everyone (including the CFL) fell back in love with him... Rookie coaching mistake - put Woods back in, stop 'tinkering'... no big deal Classic bomber fans - we're all swooning for backups/prospects... Cotton, Goossen, Stoudemire, Peach, etc etc
  14. Pretty sure our line was Peterson-Howard-Goossen-Everett-Stevenson when Marve was playing in that game
  15. Seemed like MB really drifted away from his gameplan early... we had a great call on a sweep to Nick Moore that was called on I believe a Howard procedure penalty... After that, MB called slants and hooks and ran up the middle for the WHOLE game... Real insight into how playcalling can make an OL look decent or absolutely terrible...
  16. Might have to look at 3 NI Receivers... how do we work the ratio to get Sears back at WIL?
  17. Dinwiddie called the game that I thought MB would call last night and MB called the game that I expected from Lapo in 2010...
  18. I do agree that playing Goossen right now might cause more harm than good to his development... And you could say Cordarro Howard was pursuing NFL opportunities... or you could say he hasn't played a real game for three years...
  19. wiziwig.eu is the best, most consistent feed site that I have found... the others seem to be pretty shaky these days
  20. Have to make some decisions pretty quick - Edmonton's D is pretty good, not quite as insane as Noel Thorpe but still... My concern is that Howard gets another chance - like CK and Boatman were DelMonaco's projects... looks like Howard might be our 2014 'project'... scary thought January-Neufeld-Morely-Knapp-Jones gives us our best shot imo Plus, we might as well have played Pontbriand all night instead of Grigsby for the offensive MB called
  21. Was at that one... awesome game. Had forgot that David Williams was the other receiver... just seemed like long bombs to AJIII all night
  22. Very surprised no one has commented on Kuale's play last night... I thought he put in a terrible, half-assed effort - not the same guy we have seen in the first two games for sure... Dunn continues to underwhelm me - he gets bailed out by Randle/Washington/Sear A LOT. Too slow for the LB blitz...
  23. Willy picks up pressure like Hank (when he's not Frank)... guys has nerves of steel. And those last few minutes were the QB we all wanted Kevin Glenn to be but he never was... But... MB has to call a better game to protect him - I can count the number of screens, sweeps, pitches... running up the middle does not stop montreal from overloading the box... Next week is going to be a good game... our D needs to help Willy out
  24. I think you might be writing Dinwiddie off a bit early, I thought he called a pretty good game for Smith in the game against BC. Played to his strengths and got just enough out of him to get the win along with the defense stepping up. Not much more a guy can do when you're handicapped by a passer that inaccurate. Dinwiddie has a lot of experience with this aspect of the game.
  25. Ottawa (by 14) Burris has always had Jones' number - I think this will end up as an offensive shootout... Calgary (by 4) Stubler will have to double up on Owen's but his style of D does well against Ray - expect something similar to Wpg, big start then essentially 'contained'. They will 'bend' for 2-3 quarters and then the D will win the game. Low scoring. Sask (by 23) Durant is great at bouncing back... Kevin Glenn not so much. BC defence will tire. Winnipeg (by 6) I think we're in for a really great defensive battle - but Willy still could have a breakout game - Jerald Brown and Billy Parker don't strike the fear of god into me. Slow start and big finish.
