Yes but a lot of people on here don't seem to understand that. It does happen but is extremely rare. The gentleman's agreement is pretty much on draft picks and calling the other team before you raid them. For the most part, team's are fine with their own roster/PR guys... so it doesn't happen that much. If you really like a prospect, you hide him on the IR. Get Peach.

Its been so long since we've had a QB coach that I would have been fine with hiring Boomer.
-
Pretty sure Ottawa will win next week against Edmonton... Burris has always had Jones' number. Think he will also do well against Burke.
-
Just wondering... Really think that having three more coaches on staff is making a huge difference

This is a question for those of us who can make it to the games... how involved is Dahlquist on the sidelines? Is Buck in there too? WIlly seems to have a lot of composure for a rookie QB.

As I was painfully reminded in another thread, Will Ford is a kick return threat... might want to keep that guy around.

MorningBigBlue.com TSN Weekly Fantasy Contest

Anyone else notice TSN added Sask's RB Allen and set him instantly at $150k value... -
Agree for the most part - Maher lost his job because he was outpunting the coverage... - however, I would take Maver or Bartel over Renaud anyday... He is okay but mid-30 yard punts from our side of the field - meh. If you include our no yards penalties in 'net yardage', its not a great picture. Not panicking but sure would be nice to see a punter on our PR.

TSN Off-Season Game Plan: Winnipeg Jets
Floyd replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
Whoa, Goalie, blew a gasket there... read the scouting reports on Petan and Ehlers, same player. Maybe there is room for both of them on the team... but we're not seeing that any time soon As for position, they are 'forwards' who both shoot left... that is all, right now. -
Which Coach gets an early paid Vacation?

Lapo will have a job as an OC (and pending HC a la Tim Burke) by mid-season if he wants it... either in Ham or BC -

What?!! I spent big on BC's D in my fantasy pool... -
Totally agree... but the key word in there was 'if he decided to block someone'...
-
My beef with Grigsby is that his lack of blocking hurt other guys' production - Kohlert ran a nice route, was open and Willy had to rush his throw because Grigsby slid off his block looking for the shovel pass. Surprised Osh didn't tear a strip off of him for standing there and watching the ball after Willy's fumble. Grigsby is really good but seems a bit selfish or maybe the game is a bit fast for him right now... Like I said, Blink 2.0

In the first Q, we had crazy DL rush/blitz schemes and left the flats open for Walker to exploit or if we didn't stop him in the backfield, run for 10-15 yards... classic Etch. After that didn't work, he retreated to a more CFL zone D. We sent four DL almost all game with the occasional safety or LB blitz. Seemed like Wild (for the most part) took a lot more of a 'contain' role than 'all or nothing' pressure. I think he gambled hard on getting to Burris in the 1st Q, it didn't work and, thankfully, he recognized that. Later in the game, he started getting a bit Etch again but by that time, the D was rolling and Walker was off his game. Just my opinion of course... haven't rewatched the game... not that I can thanks to TSN...

Maher is gone because he outpunted our coverage teams... I'm no real fan of Renaud but until we find a better directional punter, we will have to put up with his occasional brain farts. Weird that the post is pretty picky about most aspects of the game yet you missed Grigsby's attrocious blocking. Not sure what the complaint about OL depth is... Goossen stepped in and survived. Last year, we would have had Pencer or CK getting manhandled all game. Quinn Everett and Swiston are depth... who knows how Swiston is responding now that Wylie is here... JFG has not actually been called on to 'go deep'... You are watching a different Desia Dunn than me... I feel like he is by far our weakest link on the D

Yeah I was wondering that too. I am assuming that we will get an update at some point this weekend on Greaves. It always causes havoc on the line when an O-Lineman goes down during the game. I was going "Oh no" when I saw Greaves go down. At least the Bombers struggled through the adversity and prevailed. I was impressed with Ottawa's O-Line play as well, pretty good for a bunch of cast-offs, and the rookie NI they have playing tackle did well too I thought. Seemed like Goossen got a bit rattled after his penalty... but going up against Shologan plus Ottawa rotating so many fresh DL through, he did pretty well. I would look at swapping Neufeld and Goossen if Greaves is out next week though

Met him at a Tim Hortons!!! That's so CFL... ha

You have to give MB huge props for making his guys look good though... He was a bit slow to respond to Nelson's D late in the 3rd/early 4th but he did have a shaken QB At times, MB called a game to help Goossen, highlight Moore, spread the ball around and managed to cool down the heat on Willy... if Grigsby makes his blocks, Kohlert has a couple more catches, same with Denmark... Just think the dump/shovel pass is more of a MB trademark than anything special from Grigsby.
-
Doug Brown just gave Grigsby the 'hardest worker of the game'... He had a great night and he totally reminds me of Blink... he spins and squirms his way for more yards but, man, does he ever slide off blocks like Chuckles used to... and standing there watching a live ball was just ridiculous. I think Grigsby's success is as much due to MB's game calling and Willy's QB sense as anything... pretty sure if we plugged in Cotton or Ford, we'd get similar results

Well, a month ago... I don't think any of us would have guessed that... - Teague Sherman would be getting fairly regular starting reps at LB - Watson injury wouldn't sewer the offence... JFG looking very comfortable, and very Watson-like - Thomas fitting in fairly seemlessly on the DL - Morely would instantly turn into a fairly dominant OC and Pencer would be dumped in TC As for the rest... Bucknor gets picked on but we expected that - still, he hangs in there and doesn't quit - Alexander has to win his job back imo Goossen looked 'decent' being thrown to the wolves at LG West playing very well on ST, same with Jones LH is money Kyle Walters' scouting crew is starting to look pretty impressive actually...
