From the start, removing the option year was a mistake... this is exactly what people thought would happen... now you have to let your guys go to free agency if they want to try the NFL instead of maintaining their rights. You will never stop players from wanting to make money. Bring it back.

Never mind punting is all Bartel can do and NI STers shouldnt cost 120,000 Unless Williams has the worst agent ever, he is not making $120,000 in the second year of his free agent contract. Any FA signing comes with a big signing bonus - increasing the 'average' salary. Salary dump on Taman's part... Well, now that I look at it... Move up on spot and trade Bartel for the 11th pick, Shomari basically thrown in for shits and giggles. That's not bad... Schmitt is trying NFL isn't he? I'd say the jury's out on this one - kind of like our Neufeld trade.

Trying to force an NI RB into the lineup seems like a bad plan... Volny is a huge question mark and the only FA available is Woodson... Our ratio-breaker has to be at RT. If none of Neufeld, Pencer or Swiston can finally step up, then things are worse than any of us imagine. 4 NI OL, 1 Safety, 2 NI REC

If we traded our 2nd rounder for Neufeld, I kind of hope we use our third rounders for depth guys - linebackers, longer term prospects... or simply package some picks to maybe move up... maybe Taman ro Wally would swap their 2nd/4th rounds for our two 3rds

McCune could be a good addition, just wonder how serious the shoulder injury was... And, he has only ever played in a Chris Jones defence... not sure how that translates to Etcheverry
