Our roster is actually a fairly easy fix... stop cutting guys without a legit replacement and sign some free agents... two very basic concepts that have been ignored here for three years.

I think MSW had a more serious injury than was let on... wouldn't say it was Howell keeping him out of the lineup - who knows with this last season though... We have had a lot of receivers come in and show well, then fade... so we'll see I guess.

Any team with success has started with the Oline... whether its Popp, Huff or Taman... QB is obviously important but teams really do live and die with the OL - see Ricky Ray... Bringing in Wylie should be a good first step

I'd say there is a difference between leaks from the org and rumours in CFL circles... plus the O'Shea rumour floated around well before he was spotted in Winnipeg... I wouldn't say I'm overly concerned but we do really need our coaching staff in place before free agency starts...

I'd make the trade where we have both of them on staff... Funny how one year ago, we were super excited about Mack's coup to bring in Dickenson and now he's about to leave and we're 'meh'... I actually wonder if Dickenson would be interested in coaching the defence - he has CFL experience and has seen what NOT to do... would be really good to retain him.

The guy has never dressed for a CFL game in 3 years since being drafted... Not sure missing out on him is a big deal Not dressing in Montreal is a bit different from other teams... If this year's draft is as thing as people say, signing any NI OL seems like a big deal... even if he ends up TCF

What makes you think the Bombers were the only team whose office was closed over the holiday? There hasn't been any official announcement about Jackson joining the Eskimos. Something I didn't notice in the article posted by Mr. Dee when I first read it: I guess some people may be waiting longer than initially thought for the contracts of coaches to expire. IIRC there have been a number of comments at various forums saying it was Dec 31. I would expect the date would be pretty standard around the league. Well, I wouldn't say that BC is exactly having a 'great' off-season... Sask, Ottawa and Edmonton offices seem to be open And, yeah, I don't expect official announcements... but rumours and an extension or two aside from Morley/Renaud would be great I hope this Miles extension at Sask is over-blown... a Marshall D is a depressing thought.

I am more disappointed that Jarious Jackson went to Edmonton in essentially a lateral move... He would have been a good QB coach. Of course, I am assuming (desperately hoping) that a QB coach is in our master plan... I might be wondering why the bomber office is closed until Jan 8th if other teams are still filling positions, etc? Barrette sure would have been a nice pickup...

I think we know that Mike Edem would be wearing Blue and Gold right now if it were up to Walters, and that probably would have meant Cauchy would have spent most of the season on ST, if he had started at all. Mike Edem would be a Bomber. Henoc Muamba wouldn't. Walters isn't invincible. I like him but he's not bulletproof with his drafting approach either. Nobody is. Right now people are just still riding the anti-Mack hate train so therefore Walters is the greatest thing ever and Mack the devil himself. We'll see just how good Walters does in the next couple seasons. Actually, only you and Spuds seem to be taking this to an extreme... I'm just hoping that Walters performs better... No one said Mack was the devil... just a bad combo of incompetence and ego.

Barker is getting applauded? Where? Greenwood is coming off major shoulder surgery... Besides, Barker had the luxury of two first round picks in 2010 and a bunch more thru the draft. Eppele was the safe pick. Still, not a fan of the Greenwood pick in the first though - there is a real argument that Spencer Watt was a better pick than Greenwood - they've already got three decent seasons out of him... Greenwood has yet to play. When I say help your team 'now', I mean drafting a player that is on the roster and contributing to ST or practicing with the team - not necessarily pencilled into a starting role... that's just a bonus.

I was never in the Gaydosh fanclub... that pick was too risky for us as well. Same with Sewell and Charles. I wanted any of Edem, Jones, Watman, D'Aguilar or Prime. Of course, this also brings up the Robertson pick since Jones and D'Aguilar were still available in the 2nd round... Twist thing however you like... OL was our weakest position and we picked zero OL... we desperately needed depth behind Muamba and picked zero LB. I just hope Walters places a priority on conventional scouting reports and drafts guys that are likely to play in the CFL instead of going with hunches...

Hey that's true! It was a brilliant move. Mack successfully prevented Ottawa from stealing a talented non-import from our roster. Kudos.
