Just doesn't make sense. You can't drop a guy in to play centre who hasn't been here all season. Sorensen was bad enough at tackle and guard that BC cut him when they were literally running out of NI's, Wally commented that he can't move his feet well enough to play in the league. Parenteau is brutal at snapping the ball, last thing you need a shaky QB worrying about, and it's not just snapping it on the turf or over his head, putting it too low or too high but into his body throws everything off too. We'd immediately be weaker at two positions. Goltz got one of his touchdown's on a bad snap... maybe this is the key! Anyway, we've already dumped in totally raw Centres - first Kowalczuk and then Sorenson... at least, Parenteau has played Centre before - I don't think its beyond the realm of comprehension.

I don't know why. It's weird to me how everyone bases their impression of the offensive linemen in this league off reputation alone. Guys like Tim O'Neill, Jeff Keeping, Chris Van Zeyl, Justin Sorensen and Marc Parenteau have really stepped their game up and developed themselves into very serviceable players despite a lackluster start to their careers. On the flip side, guys like Dmitri Tsoumpas, Andrew Woodruff and Josh Bourke have seen a pretty decent drop off in play yet they're still treated like gold in the eyes of most fans. I guess we will just agree to disagree about Sorenson - I don't see his 'stepped up' play, I see a guy who is not reading defences and who cheats on running plays... maybe he is better but better and still slow just translates to slow. Not sure I see ONeill's major improvement either... he's still a 6th OL... he's always been 'decent'. Keeping, VanZeyl and Parenteau all seem to be benefiting from Toronto's system... then again, they could all just 'appear' better because of Ray, Kackert and Owens... Either way, I think our OL would improve fairly quickly with an experienced CFL centre - January-Greaves-Parenteau-Pencer-New Import or Swiston would suit me fine. Next guy I would look at is Greaves to be honest.

Big change from 'it takes years to develop an OL' to 'maybe we should see what our young guys can do'... fine with me.

I see the Lions already have a future OL listed as terr exemption... holy.

Hopefully Walters realizes that we have to offer a big signing bonus for Muamba... or at least a competitive 'CFL style' contract instead ol' Mack's 'hardball' approach... I think Muamba will sign.

Well, it seems that Chris Best is a lot more important to that OL than anyone thought... I would move Heenan back to RG if I was Sask while Best is out. But yeah, 1200 yards by September is the real deal. I guess the question now is more about Chad Simpson unfortunately...

This off-season, we brought in Dewit - a centre - and now Parenteau... I'd say Sorenson's days as our C are thankfully numbered.

Well, I think Goltz is over-valued by some posters on here but we do need to stick with him for a bit just for the sake of giving him a chance to develop... the next two games should be telling. If he can't move the ball against a team surrounded with utter chaos... then, well, maybe we don't need nine games to judge his performance... I haven't seen Goltz put together a drive like Elliott yet, however, he does seem like a more talented Brink so that's good...

Mack had a chance to draft Edem, Aguilar, Plesius, etc for NI depth/roster flexibility... instead we went crazy with a shotgun strategy of NI receivers, running backs and NFL prospects Even the biggest Mackboy has to notice that after four years, Labbe is still one step away from being a starter on this team - and that's scary.

I think we should give him a chance but that's a bit of a stretch don't you think? I mean, how many times have we actually made it inside the 5...? Twice in the last two games? You don't think teams are going to pick up on the play-action/QB run play fairly soon...?

Parenteau is a decent pickup at this point in the season... could easily step in for Sorenson... Parenteau and a 3rd for Woodson and a 5th... wow. I mean we got something for Woodson... Walters really making a case

Suber had a decent game - was clearly beat by Dressler early but got his stride later - neither a beast or a bum. The entire DL should be beasts, I actually thought Hall was the weakest link out there yesterday and that is saying something. I would reluctantly add Kohlert to the bum category. Labbe was only a beast after he missed his first assignments... we are letting on fumble skew his performance. Cauchy needs to go - backup, maybe career STer DelMonaco needs to be fired... a long time ago. Wild and Washington really hitting their stride, still think BStew has a nagging injury since game one - something is not right with him.

Pierce was a decent QB until he got rocked by Butler two years ago... never been the same since. Its over, glad we are finally moving on - should have been done in the off-season.

TE complains about holding on every play!!! Not throwing a challenge on the Denmark play is what worries me.... I think Durant gave us this game like Calvillo did eariler.
