So now tampering will start 16 days ahead ha

Nichols has shown he’s not weak but injuries are starting to add up... I’m just really hesitant after khari’s shoulder - hopefully Nichols makes a come back - he’s done it before
-
If Little actually gets healthy... copp-Lowry-appleton gustaffson-little-perrault this is a Stanley cup run bottom six... but no ‘sand’ ha
-
Not even close to the worst hit a QB took last year... either something was wrong with that shoulder already or just bad luck from bracing himself at the last second
-
You should actually rewatch the play - there's no intent to injure. There's an intent to strip the ball. https://www.cfl.ca/2019/09/26/matt-nichols-undergo-season-ending-shoulder-surgery/

I’m actually a Ukrainian bot

Watch the play again - yes he was hit and yes its the same hit as QBs take each and every game... or if you're Reilly in BC, then 8x a game
-
Okay I'm sold... as long as Buck calls slants and screens

I'm with you on this... but his arm mechanics are actually terrible and his numbers are terrible - just saying that if you held Streveler up to the scrutiny and that you're holding other to then it doesn't look 'great' With ANY of these guys, you get the right OC and right mentor (in the coaching staff or on the field) and they can be a starter... look at Vernon Adams - he was written off before Khari resurrected him

Ummm... its basically true - the wheels came off and we limped into the playoffs Its strange how all of us think its critical that Streveler stays... but his 1400 yards and 9:14 TD-INT ratio really is awful Yet I'd still sign him ha
-
I would argue that Winnipeg actually has the infrastructure on par with Calgary for Arbuckle to succeed.... more than Ottawa or Toronto - his stats are also better over more reps than Franklin had Im also one of the few that has not given up on Franklin - I think he surfaces in Ottawa and does well with Lapo I agree with the one vet and one young guy in a perfect world - but ZC and Nichols are damaged goods... either option leaves you very very close to Streveler/McGuire

https://3downnation.com/2019/12/11/five-players-who-should-be-on-the-2020-cfl-draft-rankings-but-arent/ Few more prospects...

Patrice Rene fell out of the top 20 because of an ACL injury... think he'll be a Taylor Loffler type 3rd 4th round steal
-
I wasn't a fan of the deal at the time because Ainsworth really did have the potential to be a long-term starter until his injury... It still took Neufeld three years to emerge as a healthy and reliable starter - I'd put that one team culture now as opposed to the trade being a 'steal'

My hesitation with Nichols is that he hasn't looked the same since the TC injury in 2018... a non-contact knee injury and then a minor contact shoulder injury - these are huge red flags If Bombers are planning on paying him $450k, I'd probably go for Arbuckle instead - try to run with $350k Streveler and $400k Arbuckle If its an incentive contract then bring him back and spend big on D
-
Yeah for sure... but you're really comparing Masoli's last four years to Nichols last five - not total yards when one guys comes in as a hot shot prospect then breaks his leg while the other takes three years to develop If I was paying starter money, I'd roll the dice with Arbuckle - 2000+ yards in 8 games and a 3:1 TD-Int with no injuries and 26 years old
-
Sure that's all fine and dandy... but where does his wife work?
-
This is cherry picking just as much... you can't take overall career stats without context plus you completely ignore Masoli's rushing stats Condell and Lapo are completely different OCs... Lapo is overly risk adverse - that's why Nichols succeeds No one signing a QB looks at their complete career stats ha - oh Masoli only threw for 200 yards in 2014... no thanks - haha Im not throwing Nichols under the bus - but its crazy to say Masoli is 'pedestrian' - you have your blue goggles on today, they are different QBs Regardless, Nick Arbuckle is a better option for the bombers than either of these guys and has better stats at this stage of his career
-
This stance confuses me... Masoli goes 4-1 with three 300+ yard high risk games and then was literally destroying our D when he got injured - and is one season away from 5000+ yards... but he's pedestrian while Matt Nichols throws for piddly but safe yards... is one season away from an 18:13 TD-INT ratio... is now on his 4th or 5th major injury - yet he's still a legit option I totally agree about the June Jones thing - but obviously any team signing him would understand that as well... he's not going to step into Lapo's system and succeed immediately
-
Yet we're ready to declare Streveler our QB of the future because he spent a week partying in a fur coat and cowboy hat haha... which I'm fine with btw
-
Umm... Collaros was a big free agent signing for Hamilton and stayed for four years He has now 'bounced around' because he's broken Nichols was a scrap heap claim by the Bombers - and now has a shoulder injury... No one in their right mind would take these two guys over Masoli - if you look at it rationally.
-
The more you mention MBT, the more he sounds like a reasonable option with Streveler... actually has more upside than Nichols or Collaros really

https://3downnation.com/2019/12/10/scouting-bureau-winter-edition-top-20-prospects-eligible-for-the-2020-cfl-draft/ Assuming we don't sign Collaros... I think there will be a run on OL (as always) and leave us with some nice options for BPA
