Connor-Scheif-Laine Copp-Lowry-Wheeler Perrault-Little-Ehlers Those are three good lines... Lowry is an extremely under-rated player

Decided to watch... Copp-Lowry-Wheeler line would be a pretty amazing 2nd line...

Its not Statsny as an isolated case... jumping the gun with Little also had a ripple effect with Copp, Roslo, Lowry... Little's salary has trapped him as our 2nd C... now its two straight years of bringing in a trade deadline asset and admitting that Little is not working at the 2C... But he will be trotted out again... and it won't work again I like Little when he's with Perrault and Copp or Ehlers... aside from that, he's a difficult player to pair with anyone - a shooting Centre who is not a world class sniper...

There were a lot of sideways glances when that Little extension came out... its not hindsight Little is a third line player getting $5 million plus - its a problem

That's what I mean... we re-upped Little a year early to a long contract without any feel that he'd have chemistry with really anyone... Statsny was absolutely worth 3 years or $8 million... he was clicking with Laine and Ehlers... if you don't have Little's contract you can pay him Chevy jumped the gun - it was this weird thing to keep the Thrashers core together...

You're getting Connor-Scheif-Laine mixed up... they were great at the beginning and then petered out... ESL was never scoring on every shift ha Maybe Statsny was worth that $8 million we would have needed to sign him... instead we re-upped Little to an albatross of a contract for an aging 3RW

That's a garbage trade... Perrault makes everyone he plays with better - reunite the PLE line

The difference this year is that our best receivers are only going to hit 600+ yards... we won't have anyone close to 1000

That was a false report... if Buff retires and Connor/Laine are not here, the four league minimum contracts added would put them above cap floor

The last time our blue line was 'decimated'... we made the playoffs for the first time... Maybe having less talent will mean that Maurice tightens up his D system again and simplifies it instead of letting everyone run and gun... it worked before but man we'll be dead in the water if Morrissey gets injured...

Right or not it’s a shot a Little... just a dumb comment - like how does his buddy’s Ehlers feel now Laine dogs it getting back to his zone - he really is the next Ovi - will take him a long time to learn not to play selfish hockey... three years at 5-6 is all he’s worth right now

Gotta be a tough locker room - Scheifele, wheeler, Lowry, buff, even morrissey all paid their dues - but other guys trouba, roslovic, Copp feel held back seems like Maurice is not keeping up with the new NHL... coach’s job now is to develop talent super fast and on the fly... that being said I’d love to see roslo-Copp-ehlers start as our second line and light it up
