  1. Bowman is still pretty good, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to a contender for the stretch run.
  2. He brings nothing to the defense at the MLB position. I don't care how 'decent' he looks, the position requires someone better who can change a game with one play.
  3. Same reason they can plug and play guys on their o-line or just about any other position on their team, their backups would be starters anywhere else in the league.
  4. Attack the post not the poster, if you see something different let me knowller....
  5. You wanna know how bad Hurl is....they have two plays for him, blitz or drop into pass coverage, which is why you will rarely ever see him involved in tackling anyone. He is a uniform filler and nothing else. And Bucknor, why do you think that Leggett's play appears to have dropped off, because he's constantly worrying about looking out for Bucknor.
  6. Yeah, can't wait to see him and Bass going sideline to sideline it's going to be a thing of beauty.
  7. iirc, Tee Martin came out of the SEC.
  8. When's the announcement coming.....
  9. Man this is tough, and not in a good way. My first thought was Bucknor as well but he doesn't get exposed as much as the oline guys and does occasionally make a play but still I'd have to say Bucknor too.
  10. And he would be able to display the chip on on his shoulders on August 27. Would we take th guy, from a team we are about to play, just for some insight? Not the Bombers. No way. The stars are aligning on this for sure.
  11. This would be a good signing if the Bombers can get him, he could transform the defense much the same way Barrin Simpson did when he came in and would have a huge chip on his shoulder.
  12. Whatever happened to 'act like you've been there before'?
  13. How many starting QB's are on the shelf again........
  14. My guess is that they had the next play in to Marve if it was 3rd and longer than a couple yards or a first down, same play, before that 2nd down play. Hard to really prepare for the scenario they ended up in with it being 3rd and almost 2 yards. Harder with a very inexperienced QB who was obviously fighting pretty hard just to get through the game at that point. The read option wouldn't be a bad call because you are isolating one defender and giving two of your better guys with the ball, Marve and Marshall a chance to get it done. By that point it seemed to me that Marve's ability to throw more than about 7-8 yards vertically down the field was severely compromised. Hard to prepare??? Maybe if your soft in the head but not for anyone on the staff of a professional football team it shouldn't be. And Marve wasn't having any trouble throwing more than 8 yards, he just completed a 19 yarder. 3rd and almost 2 when you're in hurry-up at 24 seconds is pretty unusual. They had to switch out of the play they had called for either 3rd and long or 1st and 10. Not easy for any QB to get organized, worse for a rookie. You think they ran through that scenario in their one practice in a thunderstorm this week? Exactly the point, why even put him the position to decide what to do? He's familiar with short yardage, so either run the short yardage or pass the ball, pretty simple.

  16. Firing coaches doesn't do anything if you can't put enough talent on the field to win in the first place. That's a systemic problem with the organization and the main reason for failure.
  17. Picard's snaps are rainbows that barely reach the QB. Defenses are getting into the backfield at the same time the ball is getting to our QB. Like wholly crap man, do something about it!!!!
  18. Leggett gets flagged for being pushed into the kicker yet Marve was hit, late, high and low and not one flag......it's hard to stay a fan of this league.
  19. There was only 24 secs left, might as well just pass, no need for the read option at that time. As JBR said, it was mass panic on and off the field, everyone just didn't look prepared for the scenario, becoming a common theme.
  20. Stoudemire has been awful since his return, he hasn't even been close to breaking one or even looks capable of doing it, not sure what has happened to him.
  21. Was Nic Moore the only decent receiver on the field tonight? When does the NFL airlift start, not soon enough.
  22. Yup, it was a lot closer than I was expecting given Marve's limited playbook but really the only difference ended up being us short on play-makers.
  23. Overall a good game, the difference was a couple big plays. The Bombers are just too short on play-makers on the roster. And I don't know why the Bombers continue to list Hurl as the MLB, it's pretty obvious that Bass is making all the plays from the position and Hurl is just a uniform filler.
  24. Hurl is going to get worked over hard this game, may not even be watchable.
