  1. But Trumps a racist, how could he do such thing?
  2. God I was thinking the same thing, Kuli has been real bad this series.
  3. Yup, when the Jets can roll 4 lines and cycle the puck down low, they are the best team in the league.
  4. Goal tending has definitely been the difference so far, Helle stinks.
  5. Last years Jets could half ass it most of a game then turn it on and explode for 3 or 4 quick ones to get the win. The team has tried to play that way this year only to find out that the goals aren't coming. I don't know whcih team shows up in the playoffs but it would be nice to see a 60 minute effort for a change.
  6. Overall average pay levels for comparable occupations between public and private sector employers are very similar. Average annual pay in the public sector was $49,655, 0.5 per cent higher than the private sector average of $49,407. Pay differences between the public and private sectors are more significant for occupations at the top and bottom of the pay scales. Those working in lower paid occupations—such as cleaning, food preparation, clerks—are generally better paid in the public sector than in the private sector. Higher paid occupations—such as managers, lawyers and accountants—tend to be paid considerably less in the public sector than in the private sector. https://cupe.ca/battle-wages-who-gets-paid-more-public-or-private-sector-workers Even CUPE acknowledges that there is basically no difference anymore in the average pay for comparable occupations? So where is this great corporate inequality you speak of? Minimum wage should not be a career choice for anyone, it's meant for students and part timers. If a minimum wage job is all you aspire to then you have no one to blame but yourself.
  7. I can't tell if you are being serious? Social Insurance - Canadians are provided what’s called a “Social Insurance Number” or “SIN” for short when we’re of working age. There’s a plan to get rid of the cards and just keep the number. This number generally identifies you to the Government on any tax forms. This number also gets Canadians access to various Government programs and tax benefits. Employment Insurance - Sometimes called “Unemployment” or “Pogie”, this is paid by payroll employees (and is mandatory). When that person loses their job, they can apply to be paid a percentage of their former wages for a period of time while trying to get another job. This is intended to ease the pain of losing work. Pension - Also paid by the employee, a pension is a payment that provides a stipend to citizens when they reach retirement age. Old Age Security - Not to be confused with the Pension, this is a taxable amount provided to all Citizens that reach retirement age. It’s not enough to live on, but still a safety net for seniors. Welfare - Sometimes called "social assistance" this is a monthly amount provided to those out of work or with no income or in need of income assistance. Disability - A kind of welfare payment for those Citizens that are earning low or no income but cannot work due to disability. You can’t be on Disability and welfare at the same time. What's missing? Getting paid to sit around on your ass all day?
  8. We want 20 years of your tax returns We want your fathers birth certificate We want your high school grades And anything else we can think of before the next election Did I miss anything?
  9. Good lord, Norway has 5 million people and a **** ton of oil. When you compare the % of government expenditures to GDP, there is no difference between Norway/USA/Canada Average income tax Norway 27.9%, USA 26%, Canada 23%, again virtually no difference And Norway is feeling the same wage gap as everyone else in their work force. Moral of the story, don't rely on the government to support you, work hard and get ahead just like the hundred of thousands of new immigrants that come here every year and do.
  10. It's the Washington Post and the NY Times again, citing 'sources familiar with the matter' whatever that means, think there was evidence of obstruction in the Mueller report. There never was any collusion with Russia so they have to turn the focus on obstruction now. It's just a sad political game the Democrats are playing.
  11. That is exactly the problem, play 60 minutes and there is no problem. The only way to sustain that level of play for 60 minutes is by rolling 4 lines, not gassing your top line.
  12. Completely agree, and Maurice is to blame for this. All players want to play as much as possible, it's the coaches job to balance that ice time, Maurice is a failure.
  13. This I can agree with completely, the Jets are at their best when they are rolling all four lines. I still think Maurice is a dud as a HC.
  14. Then you didn't watch the way they all played in the first period last night. They were all getting their noses dirty in the corners and in front of the net.
  15. It's not an excuse, skill players naturally want to make the perfect pass, the Jets are loaded with them and they have to learn that the perfect pass isn't always the right play to make in a given situation. A guy like Buff should know better but I don't think there is any hope for him, he's never been a team player, just does what he wants to.
  16. It's about winning puck battles down low and being hard to knock off the puck, that is where the big bodies are an asset. You don't have to hit your opponent every shift, like Tanev & Lowry do, to wear him down, the grind of checking guys the size of Wheeler and Laine is enough to tire you out eventually.
  17. It started right from their own end out in the 2nd and 3rd, just bad decisions with puck and don't even get me started on Hellebuyck handling the puck, they guy is simply the worst puck handler I have ever seem from a professional goal tender. The collective hockey IQ of this team isn't very high, which is what you would expect from the 2nd youngest team in the league.
  18. It's not a myth, just look at that first period last night, that is how the Jets have to play to have any success. They went back to their old bad habits in the 2nd and 3rd and it cost them.
  19. There is no question the only reason some of the players are here (Winnipeg) is because the coach let's them call the shots on the ice. There are very few players in the league who can get away with playing the full 2 minutes of a power play.
  20. Like they did against Nashville last year. The Jets are still a big physical team that can wear you down, especially with their offense sputtering, the longer they can drag out a series the better.
  21. Better effort, game could have gone either way. This Jets team won't sweep anyone in the playoffs but in a 7 game series they might be able to outlast most teams.
  22. Must have been a drama teacher before politics.
  23. Well the Dems started the mud slinging and Biden is going to get plastered in it.
