  1. I'm glad you asked, I've been meaning to get a few things off my chest now that the season is officially over: A. Hire proven winners, people who have had success in their current roles, not rookies as your GM and HC, would be a good start B. They will in term hire quality co-ordinators, not people on their 3rd go around with the club or dog and pony shows like ******* Gary Etchevery and Rich Hall C. They will also have connections in the football world, which is the USA and not Canada, a network to draw talent from. Do you even know who our Director of Player Personnel is? A ******* Canadian whose claim to fame is scouting junior football and CIS!!! Are you ******* kidding me, this must be a joke right, not.
  2. Ritchie & Berry were the only serious contenders they have managed to hire since they last won the cup. Too many stinkers in between is the problem. Hire qualified people to begin with and you have a far better chance of winning a championship (see Popp & Trestman) then hoping that people might develop into winners. Hiring Lapo three times and expecting different results is all you need to know about how serious they are of winning anything. This organization is happy with a couple winning seasons and not having the staff embarrass them publically, that's the height of the bar they have set.
  3. And how has that strategy worked out? It's not about how long you stick with somebody, it's about hiring the right people to begin with, which is where our problems have been.
  4. Nobody 'stepped up' for the Stamps when they needed it most. They may have the best overall talent in the league but they don't seem to have any real game changers.
  5. Everybody, including an expansion team, has won the GC since we last did. That should be incentive enough for any organization with a shred of pride to do anything and everything to win now, not just put an entertaining product on the field. If that isn't a priority for the current football operations regime, then we have the wrong people in charge.
  6. 1984, still the best GC house party ever (thanks to the Shirtliff boys for hosting). I also have to admit that I don't remember much of the 2015 GC here, the parties at the Convention Centre were off the hook.
  7. Mitchell tossed up a duck into double coverage with the game on the line. Reminded me of that Ginger that Doug Berry cut for doing the same thing here
  8. Popp and Trestman have the contacts down south to find new studs, we need a connection like that if we are going to recruit better players.
  9. Yup, just goes to show that you don't need years on building to win a championship if you have the right people/players. As for Calgary, what a bunch of chokers.
  10. $6.6M buyout, I think he can ride off into the sunset now.
  11. lol, I figured you just had a brain fart.
  12. I'm not convinced Walters is the GM to get us there more so than MOS.
  13. That Ottawa team was solid from top to bottom and Burris was at the top of his game. I don't see this Argo squad being quite in the same league. Stamps in a cake walk.
  14. If Edmonton scores a TD to tie it, they leave BLM with a minute or so to win it? Can't make any other sense out this call.
  15. It's on the Leagues website that's good enough from most reasonable folks.
  16. This x10, it's the only reason that Hurl is starting for us and not Henoc Muamba.
  17. So even Kyle admits 'not championship level' that pretty much settles the contender argument.
  18. Walters can't fire anyone without the BOD's say so, not that he'd ever fire his bro, he'd probably have to go first.
