  1. Really? You cannot compare the two quarterbacks. Glenn has the quickest release in the game. He's never needed a great line to put up good passing numbers. All I see is a quarterback who is ansy in the pocket and hearing foot steps before they're coming. Not a good sign for a guy in his third full season as a starting quarterback.
  2. And that's exactly the problem. You can't blame that on the coaching, the schemes, the players. Infact this is nearly impossible to fix. It's a mental thing.
  3. The reason Kevin Glenn still has a job in this league is his quick release. Only him and his old OC Anthony Calvillo were able to get the ball off that quickly. If there's anyone Drew Willy needs to mold his game off of it's Kevin Glenn. You simply can't get to him the ball is already out of his hands by the time the pocket starts to break down.
  4. We'll see. I thought some of Lapo's schemes were nice. The execuation just wasn't there. Too many over thrown balls, and happy feet in the pocket. Can't blame that OC/player personal
  5. I think it's time to talk Drew Willy. In 2014 I thought he showed promise. Last year I started noticing the happy feet in the pocket. One thing I really liked about Willy in 2014 was how cool and calm he was, and his pocket awareness. In 2015 you started to see him throwing off his back foot, and moving around when the pressure wasn't there. Personally I think he's taken some big hits and mentally i'm not sure if he can recover. Numbers or not he looked dreadful last night. Can he recover? Is it time to start looking at Nichols or another QB option? To win in the CFL you need solid play from your quarterback. This is Willy's third year here and there's really no excuse for him to be regressing instead of progressing.
  6. Do you remember how dysfunctional the Bombers organization was when they released Hefney? I don't blame him one bit. The guy was one of the hardest working, and most talented Bomber players we've had in the last decade. I'm glad at the end of the day he was able to retire a Bomber.
  7. Great signing. Huge upgrade on Moore. A lot of good free agent receivers. Hope we're not done yet.
  8. Ed Tait ✔@WFPEdTait Hearing that the #Bombers have an interest in WR Duron Carter, the former Alouette star who was released by Indy and is now a free agent 12:38 PM - 12 Jan 2016 1212 Retweets 1717 likes
  9. I'm 24. The Bombers have never won the grey cup in my life time. Not going to attract new fans when you put a losing product on the field year after year.
  10. I think Ottawa are the biggest pretender contender. They're one of the few teams that havent had their starting quarterback go down and that is huge.
  11. Jovon Johnson is the last guy who should be talking smack. But i'm not surprised. All part of the over rated swaggerville era.
  12. Maybe he saw a snow flake this morning and decided this wasn't for him
  13. I wont be attending any football games if we re hire Brendan Taman.
  14. I can't remember the last game Winnipeg won a game they probably shouldn't have. But we've certainly seen a lot of close games Winnipeg probably should have won that we ended up losing. It's refreshing to see them fight and claw back and steal a victory in B.C
  15. I don't understand how you can play a game without a back up receiver, but dress 9 linebackers...
  16. The Pal is great in a cheap, Winnipeg kind of way. No line ups, cheapest drinks i've seen in the city out of any bar/club, and usually a decent crowd. You'll meet all types of people there. Had some great times there over the past few years was one of the go to places if you wanted to spontaneously go out on a Monday night.
  17. No idea why he was signed. No idea why he got as many carries as he did. No idea why he was constantly ran up the middle. A series of puzzling moves.
  18. Never should of been brought in to begin with, but I suppose this is good news.
  19. We could have been stuck with Brohm. Think we almost beat Calgary and Edmonton with Brohm playing? Nope I didn't think so either.
  20. Pretty sad part of the deal is that your not good enough brother has to play on the same team. Maybe they sign cauchy to a big deal next offseason. He is terrible.
  21. Whens the last time Winnipeg won a big game? 2011? 4 years. I don't expect a win in BC. I'm hoping to be proved wrong though.
  22. Yeah, that'll absolutely help his confidence....good call. We're in the business of winning football games and he's now cost us at least two. **** his confidence. Couldn't agree more. Why are we suddenly treating players like fragile babies? They're professional athletes who are paid to make plays. Lirim's performance was unacceptable. I wouldn't cut him but he needs to take a seat on the bench. If he can't respond from being cut, how will he ever be able to respond with big kicks?
  23. Not that I would ever stick up for Westwood. But the weather conditions change dramatically late in the season and into the playoffs. It was perfect conditions today. There's really no excuse to be that bad. Especially with a playoff position on the line.
