  1. I think Kavis Reed want's his old buddy from Saskatchewan Kerry Joseph to play some games this year That Eskimo o-line is terrible!
  2. Big target, fond memories of him here in Winnipeg. Too bad he couldn't duplicate his success in Edmonton or Saskatchewan. There would be nothing to lose by bring him in at the right price, if not I won't lose any sleep.
  3. It's only one game. I wouldn't get too high or too low on the kid. I still think Reilly will be a fine QB in this league, but he's going to take his lumps as many first year starters do.
  4. Buck loves the game of football. He will continue to play as long as a team takes a chance on him. Unfortunately the hits have taken a toll on him over the years. His pocket awareness is very poor for a veteran QB who's been around as long as he has, and he tends to lock on a target and rushes his throws. I don't blame him he's taken A LOT of licks over the years and mentally I would be surprised if he didn't do these things.
  5. Thought the defense played well considering the three first half turn overs by the offense. The thing that really kills me is Bruce pushed off of Johnson yet they call it on Johnson.. a 50 yard play while the game is on the line. If you're not going to call it against Bruce then don't call it at all.. Then to miss the PI on Edwards.. Tough way to lose the game. I thought the defense played good. I mean SJ Green got his catches but he made the tough catches, nothing was ever easy. Buck played well at times, absolutely terrible at others. It's disappointing that with all the misfortune Winnipeg had all night they still had a good chance to win the game. Oh well.. 17 games to go.
  6. Very SIMILAR Offense that Mike Kelly ran here.
  7. My idol as a kid. I was a shorter shifty running back as a kid and I tried to emulate Sir Charles game. Probably the best first cut runningback i've ever seen. Yes that includes NFL...
  8. I think thats the point!
  9. As we all know Cornish and Harris finished one and three respectfully in rushing last year. Throw in a guy like Messam who is a former 1000 yard rusher is there a good nucleus of good Canadian backs in the league? Will most teams eventually feature a Canadian back? Clearly coaches are giving these guys a chance instead of just throwing them on special teams, are guys like Harris and Cornish the exception, or eventually the norm?
  10. Size for a running back especially in the CFL is greatly overated. Most of the runningbacks are shorter and lighter anyways. Charles Roberts and Fred Reid exclusively were both around 160-180 soaking wet and both had no problem carrying the load 20 plus times when needed.
  11. Rumour has it Rod Black voted Sam Giguere at number one.
  12. Does that mean they'll be paying the Senator players in Canadian Tire money?
  13. 6'4 325 for a seventeen year old is HUGE wow...
  14. You do realize that BC is on the west coast correct? Having 11 players playing in middle of Canada Manitoba is what i'd call some what heavy recruiting. In recent years we've started recruiting our own kids which is great, but there has always been big interest in recruiting in BC
  15. Could be more that meets the eye. He could have asked for his release, the Bombers coaching staff might of felt that his play trailed off, could be the negative press from the charges, could be all of the above!
  16. I don't think its that he uses marijuana.. I think it's that he got caught. Unfortunately drug charges ( no matter how small they are) reflect negatively for the football club. Don't get me wrong I needed to smoke just to get through that 2012 season and if he wants to smoke a little weed I don't judge.. Like I said don't get caught!
  17. LOL the entire league won't fold..
  18. Sask will take him. Taman only recruits former Bombers.
  19. Swaggerville patrients are running thin! Jovo you feeling nervous son?
  20. BC's junior league is stacked. Where do you think the Bisons do the majority of their recruiting?
  21. Buck holds on to the ball too long and doesn't do himself any favours. It's no suprise he takes more hits then anyone. For a guy thats been around his pocket awareness is that of a rookie. Everyone knows you blitz the Buck and he gets extremely un accurate extremely quickly. At this point it doesn't really matter if he's healthy or not. If you're going 0-5 against a third string defense there is HUGE problems. I'm sure we'll see a lot of Hall and Goltz this year as I don't see Buck staying healthy all season!
