Size for a running back especially in the CFL is greatly overated. Most of the runningbacks are shorter and lighter anyways. Charles Roberts and Fred Reid exclusively were both around 160-180 soaking wet and both had no problem carrying the load 20 plus times when needed.
You do realize that BC is on the west coast correct? Having 11 players playing in middle of Canada Manitoba is what i'd call some what heavy recruiting. In recent years we've started recruiting our own kids which is great, but there has always been big interest in recruiting in BC
Could be more that meets the eye. He could have asked for his release, the Bombers coaching staff might of felt that his play trailed off, could be the negative press from the charges, could be all of the above!
I don't think its that he uses marijuana.. I think it's that he got caught. Unfortunately drug charges ( no matter how small they are) reflect negatively for the football club. Don't get me wrong I needed to smoke just to get through that 2012 season and if he wants to smoke a little weed I don't judge.. Like I said don't get caught!
Buck holds on to the ball too long and doesn't do himself any favours. It's no suprise he takes more hits then anyone. For a guy thats been around his pocket awareness is that of a rookie. Everyone knows you blitz the Buck and he gets extremely un accurate extremely quickly. At this point it doesn't really matter if he's healthy or not. If you're going 0-5 against a third string defense there is HUGE problems. I'm sure we'll see a lot of Hall and Goltz this year as I don't see Buck staying healthy all season!
