Yes i'm aware of the "apparent" interest. I just don't see a team taking on 400 k, nor do I see the Bombers letting go of the only other veteran QB on the roster when we're in a push for a playoff position.

2011 defense was more dominant. But this group has the potential to be great. I think this defense has better depth then 2011 but Jovon Johnson and Jonathon Hefney were the two best defensive backs in the CFL in 2011. That was a scary team. Add a prime Oddell Willis.

People tend to have unrealistic expectations with the quarterback position. Make no mistake Matt Nichols has been part of the reason we're on a four game winning streak. He's taking care of the football. One INT in the past four games, and he's moving the ball around well. Completing 71 percent of his passes this season. With the way our defense and special teams are playing he simply doesn't NEED to push the ball down field more. He needs to protect the football, and eat up that TOP. Two things he's done a great job doing, plus when it really mattered he drove 90 plus yards down the field which set up a Harris touch down.

I've always liked Teague. Teams tried to pick on him, but he always held his own well. Seems like he's in a reduced role this season, which goes to show our Canadian depth has steadily improved since we first brought him in. I think he's slowly getting nudged out, but he was always a good Canadian role player.

I think people forget how much terrible quarterback play we've had over the years. It would be wise to keep Willy around for the playoff push this season.

I wouldn't get rid of Willy at this point. Quarterbacks get hurt. It's valuable having someone who can play down the stretch in case something happens to your starter.

There's certainly enough new players that have came in and performed well this season for the bombers. Finding the cap space by releasing an under achieving, over paid vet shouldn't be a problem if we ever had to compete with the cap due to Nichols bonuses.

Would trading/getting rid of the off injured high salary of Paddy Neufeld fix this problem down the road if it came to it?

He went 0-4 on his picks last week. That goes to show how football knowledge this guy has. He's around to pump the Saskatchewan Rough Riders tires with very little substance.
