2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News
Arnold_Palmer replied to Noeller's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Elks and Riders battling it out for the cross over. I think the west is too good this year. -
I’m excited to see how this receiving core does, I expect Schoen will probably be our number one guy. Intrigued to see Grant in a bigger role, I expect healthy doses of Bailey Agudosi, and Woli, and we’ll see if we can get anything out of Harrison.

I get they had a decent year last year but they’re hosting the grey cup and made no changes to improve their team, or their roster. How did they go into the year saying yep this is the team that’s going to get to the Grey Cup in November. The bad o-line, the average at best QB play, the undisciplined penalties and the suspect team culture were all things any fan of the CFL could see a mile away.

2022 CFL Season - Back 2 Back Champs News

I must be getting my memories mixed up but the particular game I was thinking of was against Ottawa the same season in October we won 40-32 in over time but Ellington had the touchdown and 2 point convert to tie it late before we eventually won in over time. But that goes to show how good He is we can’t even pin point the exact game in the same season! -

There was a game against Ottawa where he made circus catch after circus catch to keep Ottawa in it, including a touchdown and a two point convert to tie it late, I think we eventually won it in over time but he’s burned us on more then one occasion, really glad he’s part of the good guys now. -

I was very happy when we signed him, he was a guy I wanted forever, and I thought his chemistry with Collaros would be a huge bonus but even I didn’t expect this level of dominance, very satisfied with our receiving core right now, it might be the best one we’ve had here since the early 2000’s. -
Week 6 - Game Day Thread - Stumps @ CHAMPS!!

You would think after beating them in the playoffs in 2018, 2019, and 2021 they would learn some humility.. too much to ask for! -

Rider fans think they can take us and Calgary lol yet they can’t take care of Montreal in back to back weeks -
Zach brought his A game, the way he moves in the pocket is Flutie esq, on the D side I though Houston played well so happy he didn’t quit on that ball in the end zone, also Sayles got so much needed pressure in the middle

Teams need to go for two more period regardless, statistically it’s the right move. -

My New Years resolution was to delete my social media, no more Facebook, or Twitter. I have zero regrets, both are incredibly toxic! -
It’s frightening one team in the East will get a bye, and a home playoff game.

Edmonton’s best receiver tonight is a quarterback, what a hilarious roster this is.

Injury Report, Lineup Changes, Roster Moves

Not to mention the weather gets worse in November and December, there’s typically more wind, ball is harder to hold on to, the great thing about a balanced running game is that it tires the the defense out, especially late in the game, and it makes your offence harder to key onto. If you don’t have to worry about the run, if you play a team with good ends like Winnipeg they know they have free reign to rush the quarterback without having to worry about contain . Those are just some of the reasons why it’s important to establish a good or balanced running game. -
I’m going to go with Andrew Harris, he usually brings his A game against the Riders.

Yeah I specifically remember there being talk about Irons being the guy in Hamilton and that they wanted to implement a Canadian back field like Winnipeg, but he’s your traditional running back, not much of a receiving threat so I just don’t think he fit in with Hamilton’s philosophy and play style. -

He was suppose to be the guy in Hamilton, he started out the season in Hamilton as the number one tail back in 2019, but I believe he fell out of favour half way through. -

He’s a bruiser who can run a 4.5 40, I would take a look at him if they truly believe we’re going to stick with a Canadian at that position. -

Yeah I don’t like the bad publicity that’s associated with the CFL, it’s a wonderful league, with skilled players, rich history and strong diversity. To someone who knows little about the league this is a bad way to introduce the league. -

Some of their delusions and hot takes, aren’t even funny anymore it’s straight up scary, like calling Masoli a snow flake, the league wide conspiracy against the riders, winning a Grey Cup for Marino’s honour, calling the rallying of the rough riders together a great Canadian moment, similar to “we the North” or “**** Brooklyn”. -
Stumps at BACK 2 BACK CHAMPS early talk
Arnold_Palmer replied to Nolby's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I wasn’t alive for our Grey Cup in 1990, or for our dominance in the 80’s this is hands down the greatest era of Blue Bomber football in my life time and I’m loving every minute of it. -

Pretty good considering there was only 5 days of rest in between games. The best outcome we could have expected. -

Michael Bishop comes to mind. Million dollar arm, 10 cent brain.
