  1. I don’t think it’s even a stretch to say Augustine and Oliveria finish with more yards, if Harris is battling a lingering injury that’s already keeping him out for weeks it’s not too crazy to say I’d both guys stay healthy they finish with more yards.
  2. They’re not so great with biology either. You know all that kissing cousins stuff…
  3. Fun fact. Riders suck 😀
  4. I mean good for him that’s awesome but he was completely washed 3 years ago. He’s not going to be scaring a lot of DB’s out there at his age. I really wanted him here like 5-6 years ago. He was legitimately excellent in his prime.
  5. Would have cut McKnight and kept Blake Johnson but that’s just me. Im sure management and the coaching staff have their reasons.
  6. A lot of continuity, a few impressive new faces. Go blue!
  7. We seem to plug in holes every year in the secondary. I have no doubt in my mind the young guys coming in will continue to make plays.
  8. Blessing in disguise! Allowed Streveler to come in and become our number two and get some playing time. Without Durant it’s possible Streveler never gets an NFL look.
  9. With our 48 DB’s dressed for Tuesdays game im confident in Walters and co to atleast find a suitable replacement!
  10. Maston is the better player, and it’s tough to say how things were prioritized. Maybe there was no other suitors for Maston because of his injury so it was easier to negotiate a contract. Either way hard to blame Bombers management. Injuries are unfortunately part of the game.
  11. I’m not sure if the guys take less to go back to back in 2021 if there’s no 2019 cup win so I think you’re probably right, we would be looking at quite a bit domino effect of that trade is never made.
  12. Jyles was also suppose to be the next big thing. They saw it as getting the successor for Ricky Ray for the next ten seasons but unfortunately it didn’t quite workout. Still think he showed some flashes here in Winnipeg, that come back victory in BC was something special.
  13. This is good news! We need him healthy for the season opener.
  14. I hear you guys. Mental health is something I’ve struggled with all my life. Even to this day it’s always an uphill battle even though I have methods of dealing with it. Two things that really changed my life around was working out and sports, particularly my connection with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Nothing gives me more joy in life then watching a Bomber game, and as I get older I find myself on here talking with you fine people. It’s hard to find a connection to people who love this team as much as I do so I enjoy sharing my time talking about this team with you guys.
  15. West 1. Bombers 13-5 2. stamps 12-6 3. Riders 10-8 4. Elk 8-10 5. Lions 6-12 East 1. Argos 10-8 2. Ti cats 9-9 3. Als 8-10 4. Red blacks 6-12
  16. Let’s just remember. Our offence was a complete joke before Lapo came in. Amongst the worst in the league. We were 12-24 into the O’Shea era. Sure we were able to build in free agency and some guys came into their own but we went from 5-13 to seasons of 11-7, 12-6, 10-8 and 11-7 respectfully. Like it or not we won a lot of games once we got a capable coordinator and QB.
  17. See that’s a fair critique, however he was a great X’s and O’s Guys and did a great job getting guys involved in the offence. Now if we’re talking about being conservative I’ll go one step further. He did a great job at play calling, but as soon as we built a lead in the first half often the second half was too conservative. He did mix in a fair amount of trick plays, deep shots, and overall solid play calling, but anytime there was a lead in the fourth we were for better or for worse putting the ball in Harris’s hands.
  18. Ok so more then 3 Grey cup wins is considered good, less then three is considered lousy, ok gotcha good to know O’Shea and Walters are on the hot seat this year and need to win a third so that they’re not on 17to85’s lousy list!
  19. Well yeah I’m not a big fan of talking bad about Nichols or Lapo in my opinion. Both were key cogs in shaping our winning culture. Both have their short comings sure but there would be no Grey Cups without these guys in our organization.
  20. He had a fine arm before he injured his knee back in 2018. Remember in 2017 he had 4500 passing yards and 28 TD’s and 8 INT’s. I don’t like the Nichols slander! He was instrumental in shaping the current winning culture. We forget that O’Shea had a 12-24 record with Drew Willy as our starter, getting Nichols instantly added stability and we went onto win 11 games our first season with Nichols under Center.
  21. Prukop looked good late. He really thread the needle on that last touchdown. He has the legs and a decent arm. Wonder if he sticks around.
  22. Great showing! You can tell it’s a well coaches, talented team. Even with our third stringers. Culture rubs off on the guys!!
  23. He’s the leader of the O. I imagine he wanted to help his QB’s and receivers out there. I think he has a big year this year, he wants to be our leader.
